Thank you Cat. I appreciate your efforts. I just wanted to say that you have the best tutorial regarding Squarespace I've seen. Ive literally spent all day trying to figure this out and you came to the rescue
Thank you, this was the most helpful video I've found so far. While the Squarespace site is quite easy, I was looking for the shop feature every except for under the Main Navigation/Not Linked + area. I appreciate the very detail-oriented and step-by-step approach to your guide.
Great video. Thanks for being clear and concise. Now.....do you have a similar one for setting up a basic web site? I've looked through your channel and have not found one...yet!
Not yet! But we recommend going to squarespace.com and following their prompts, they make it pretty easy to set up the basics. Then we have tutorials on lots of the extras like setting up your shop etc
Thanks a lot for a clear step by step explanation. In a photography site, is there a way of adding all to store in one click? same categories and sizes?
Great video, very helpful! How did you get your product to be bundled together? Mine just drop in individually so i don't get the grouping of the category
Are you using Squarespace 7.0 or 7.1? Do you mean how they separate into categories in the sidebar? When you click on your shop from the pages panel, your sidebar will either be under "ALL" products or "CATEGORIES". In the top left if you see a "< categories" symbol, click on that and it will take you back to categories. From categories you can click "all"
This is great but in 7.1 doesn't allow me to add blocks to the individual product pages. I haven't seen any tutorial anywhere so it would be super helpful if you can create a tutorial on this. Your videos are amazing and super helpful, so thanks so much for your hard wok.
Hey! That's right, product pages are super limited. We recommend using regular pages as sales pages, and then using product blocks to add an ADD TO CART button on the page!
thanks for a great tutorial! I noticed for digital products it said it expires 24 hours after the 1st download. Is this correct? client has 24 hours to use the product?
Yes and no, it expires, but the customer can get it again by clicking to download it again and Squarespace will send a new link. I'm not sure why they do this haha. "The link expires 24 hours after the purchase. If a customer clicks an expired link, we'll send a new link to the email address used for the initial purchase." Hi Erica, really helpful video thank you! Do you know if there is a way to add a charity discount to one or two products? I am sure you would use discounts but wondering if you can link directly to a charity ?

When selling squarespace website templates should I list my templates as a digtial download or a service? Not sure which one since I have to manually send the template to the customer.
Hey Reese! Good question It depends on how your back-end system is set up. If you are sending the customer a PDF or a file with info about instructions or login info then 'digital download' is good because you can set it up for it to send them that file as they checkout. If you are using an outside provider for resources and you want it to be connected via an automation software (this is much more advanced) then a Service product connected to an automation works. But it really depends how you have your back-end resources and systems set up. They both work depending on your needs!
Hello, I am just starting out making an online shop in my square space website (Business Plan). The sales tax part, - Is there a way other than having to manually enter in sales tax rates for every zip code in North Carolina, US? - If I upgrade to a square-space - Commerce Plan, will it automate the process and calculate sales tax in real time? - Is TaxJar the only other extension that can do this? Do I still need a TaxJar if I get a Commerce Plan? Is anyone else in the same boat or past this phase? Any other suggestions? Thank you!
Hey! I believe taxes have to be added manually - a huge complaint many people have with Squarespace commerce. Though I would fire these questions to squarepace.com/support team to see if there's any other solutions I don't know of :)
Hi, When you connect your Squarespace to Payal business, what email would you recommend I use? For example, do I use my custom domain email (Google Workspace) to create a Paypal business account, as this is the email I use on my website and for my customers to contact me, it's my business email. Or do I use my outlook email, which I registered when I created my Squarespace account. I'm worried there will be confusion between the business email and the personal email as they start with 'studio', and which email will appear on the invoice / order confirmation, as I want to ensure the business email (Google Workspace) is the first point for communication between me and my customers.
I would recommend changing everything to your business email! You can update your Squarespace account email if this makes things easier. if this is what you want people to use for your biz, then update it across all of your business related accounts :)

Hey Geraldine! Can you explain what you mean by link directly to a charity/what a charity discount is and how it functions? I'm not familiar! Thanks

On your Product Page you could add a Video or Audio block and upload a file to that, so they can preview before they Add to Cart.
