Just picked up a 2013 XJ6 F and I am seriously loving it. Coming from a Bandit 600 it is a major upgrade!
Quite theraputic watching this 🙂
Love your vids especially your maintenance videos very entertaining 👍👍👍
Try printing some common socket sizes and use them for the rest of the build!
Great job spicy 👍
4:50 I thought you were going to strip that oil plug then we would have been in trouble.
I’m really enjoying this maintenance series 😊
Printing at 100% on every layer can lead to the chance of clogging around the nozzle because the filament hasn't got gaps to expand into. You can often be better to increase the number of perimeters and print to about 50-60% maximum with a solid layer every 3mm or so.
Can not say I have had any issues with 100% infill printing. If your offset and rates are right it should not be an issue.
Unfortunately Spicy, oil filters always tighten over time even though done up hand tight. It will be interesting to see how much torque you can put through PLA. Can you get hold of an old plumbers adjustable wrench?
Personally, I think it’s time for a change of the cow print. Camo colour would look great. Blend in the bushes if the authorities come😎
Those clutch cover bolts are a really low torque. Years back they would be jis screws so the torque value is hand tight and nipped a little bit😂😂
indeed, they are only 10nm to put in but once that tread locker is set it's a fair bit more to undo.
As all tools requiring force when used 3D printed omes will be useless. However i have seen some 3D printed Vernier calipers. Ir how about a 3D printed self balancing motorcycle cup holder, they look a bit like a gyroscope.
I think you might be underestimating just how strong PLA is.
SPICY! I have a Haynes manual for your bike i no longer need. Would you want it?
Thanks for the offer but I have the yamaha service manual. 🙂👍
Clutch is easy to do. I have a brand bee ebc clutch for sale
I know I have done a few over the last 16 years haha. These videos are filmed ahead, put my new clutch in last week.
@spicy110 I just sold my gsxs750 got a car 😪 being an all year rider it's been killing the bike slowly doesn't matter how much maintenance and cleaning and acf I applied
Hello spice does your bike suffer corrosion much on front of engine went and had a look at 2014 plate same bike as yours but had a lot of what looks like aluminium oxide on it should I leave it.
Without seeing it I do not think I can offer too much of an answer, but a lot of corrosion on a 2014 bike doesn't sound great. Mine is covered in layers of grease and dirt (It is a workhorse bike for me) so it is hard to see the metal, but for that very reason, it is all likey fine under there. Sounds like this bike owner washed the living daylights out of it (total guess) and the bare ally oxidised? Unless you mean the manifold plate and bolts, they always rust on these bikes it seems.
@@spicy110 thank m8 think I pass on it great video by the way.
So what was wrong with the clutch, was it slipping?
Not slipping yet but the biting point position tells me it's nearly gone.
@spicy110 trying to get in contact with you spice what’s the best way fella
