- The hazelnut tree is amazing. While other plants are “sleeping” during the winter months, the hazelnut is busy pollinating. Wind and rain spreads the pollen to tiny red flowers. Then, the trees take a short break before spring growth begins. In late spring, the nuts begin to form. By mid summer, clusters of green nuts can be seen throughout the orchards.

I have haselnut trees older than 40 Years, this year we have a very good harvest.
i used to love haelnut butter back when it was homehomemade of just ground up hazelnuts 80-90% and 10-20% butter!
nutella is only max 13% hazenuts ans some milk-cocoa and more than 50% soya, and taste like SOYA WITH A HINT OF HAZELNUT TASTE
And barrels of sugar-lmao

After seeing all the work it takes to collect and treat hazelnuts, they will no longer seem so expensive when I go to buy them, and for the record, here they need to be roasted and bagged. They are so good.
65% of all hazelnuts in Turkey are produced and picked by hand, because machine processing during harvest, as shown in the film, is not possible in Turkey, as the plantations are not designed for machine harvesting and the area is mountainous. And one person can only harvest 25 kg in a day by working 10 hours. You have to calculate another 5 hours for 25 kg, for the rest of the work, such as the care of the plantations and for the drying process. This means that less than 2 kg of hazel nuts can be produced in one hour of work. + All of the other plantations costs outside of labor costs.

There is a very important city in Europe harvester of hazelnut named Reus (Tarragona - Spain), there is a lot of diversity of hazelnuts for Nutella as well and for eat everyday.
I wish I could plant just 1 hazelnut tree in my garden. Do they grow in tropical countries?
I think, they will do very well because Black See area of Turkey, where we grow hazelnuts has a tropical climate because of the Black See and the montans.

i am not a fan of nuttela. for me nuttela is way too oily than other peanuts chocolate spread.
