Great video as usual Adam. We did Alport Castles a couple of weeks ago. We parked exactly where you did and walked the exact same route. I agree. the last bit along the road was a killer. You didn't film the dam that the dambustres practised on (only the low flying bit of course). There is a memorial there.
Looked a lovely walk, so many walks to do round there, I've done a nice circular up and around lost lad and back tor back along Derwent edge, keep them coming and stay safe 👍

Randomly tripped across your channel. The thing that impressed me is that you are so down to earth and just say it like it is. I've seen other vlogs who just seem so scripted and fslse. I've just retired and starting vloging in the Peaks, doing The Ethel Challenge. I have to ask, does it get any easier. I'm knackered at the end of the hike. No exercise for years then I start hiking peaks. Most of my filming is when I stop because I'm out of breath and need a two minute break. Anyway, new subscriber here from Stafford England.
Awesome. I was where you were a few weeks ago. Car camped at the Upper Derwent overlook carpark. Was the only one there. Nice quite night and the loos open at Fairholmes dawn till dusk only 5 mins walk from the car. Def gonna go back there soon. So many walks there. X
Thought of solution for your fridge that we used to do , we all need to get together to sort you out a deep cycle 120ah battery to power the fridge 12v and then we had a solar panel that come with a 12 v trickle charger and that keeps the battery topped up , matty
Parking is always like that around ladybower area at weekends. Your right it is the dark Peak. Try some of the walks around Glossop area to kinder or up doctors gate to bleaklow and brammah edge
Just come bk from a 9 day adventure and 1st things first.. The wanderer on youtube.. Had a blast missed the ferry back flew to portugal had a steady sat till friday and a nice thurs fri satdi in holland.. Cant beat it..

Great walk up to alport Castle, done it many times. You should go and find the plane crash site off of the A57 snake pass. It's a great walk and really interesting when you get there. If you park at 'doctors gate' you can walk from there. Fairly easy in summer but a quaggy mess in winter. Lots of info on the tinterweb about the site itself and history of the actual crash. There is still part of the wreckage up there which makes it interesting to visit. Another brillo video Adam, thanks fir taking the time to keep us all entertained. Keep safe pal, cheers......

If you want to make it a proper adventure, go in winter. I did it a few times. The first time the fog came down heavily and I got lost in a bog!! Great fun though.... If you search bleak low plane crash site there are some great walks on line and a bit of history about it for your commentary......

Chalk up another good day … no, a smashing day in the Peake district. Is it spelt with an “e”? Busting to go out but the beginning of our winter has been the coldest in recorded history. Snow fields are looking good. The long summer evenings you have would be fabulous. We lived in Tasmania for seven years and experienced a bit of that. Up here on the coast between Sydney n Brisbane we loose the light very early. Not much fun for trekking but good for camp fires uno uno. Seeya next time 🇦🇺🌻
On my stamping ground pal. Bit further up that road is one of the best views of the area over yatesholme and the transmitter. I've flew the drone all over that part pal. Amazeballs :) Keep steaalthy!
The deep cycle battery is obviously separate from your starting battery although if you flattened your battery you can connect the solar panel charger to your starting battery and go for a three hour hike and come back and then start the car
Awesome vid! Asia sounds soooo amazing, I wish they'd drop their covid Vaccination pass to enter rule .. Wanted to go for my 40th... You should invest in an icey Tek cool box, stuff can stay frozen like rock for 3 days! Just have to Pre chill it with a loads of ice for a couple of days before use! Seriously amazing bit of kit 👌🍦
@@wanderingwhere we take 2 to festivals.. One for beer the other for premade meals for a family of 4.. With milk butter etc. Lasts 5days. You need ice packs. I freeze 2ltr water too.. Prefect for summer

I'm trying to do longer trips and stay around that area cut down on travelling honestly it's Really not cheap I'm down in Devon atm and the fuel for the trip will be around £150 all in
