Also done the walk from Bakewell over the top to Monsal Dale, again well worth it. Another great video you lot crack me up. Can't wait for the follow up videos. Stay safe mate👍
Hey buddy, yeh I did see a few places you could get food but as was our luck, they were all closed 🤣. Don't blame them really as what plonkers would walk the trail during that weather lol
@@alanmosley9077 The main walk is called the Monsal Trail and it follows an old railway track so is flat. Cycle hire is also available if you want. "Let the agonizing walk begin?" OMG! The walk is the best part of camping! I've been camping for many years (I'm 73 years old now) and I still walk many miles during a camping trip and I enjoy every mile of it. What's happened to our young folk?
Don't get me wrong, I do love a good walk and explore but we walked 18km that day and the weather was atrocious. Not many people would enjoy that experience but we were all able to keep our spirits up with the signing lol
Hi brendan great video shame the weather was not good liked the walk you did that was interesting when you walked in the tunnel and came out the otherside you were high up
Beech Caves is a system of man made caves which spans an area of about 2400 sq meters. When the caves were first built is unknown, but a likely start time would be in 1633, when a man named by Roger Low was paid 22 pence per score to remove 130 feet of stone from the site on 31st August, 1633. Apparently the caves were strictly out of bounds during the second world war, with locals telling of how it was permanently guarded by troops and believed to be an ammo storage site for the ordinance factory at nearby Swynnerton, though there are no official records to show this.
