I think you did a great job covering the advantages and disadvantages. I've two new kittens, and tried the pine pellets. If you stir the pellets after they go, the dust falls through the grate of the Tidy Cat Breeze box and tracking is virtually non-existant.
Unfortunately, one of the kittens does not like the pine litter. He will use it, but only if there is no other attractive option, such as our bed! That, and I noticed he was holding his urine as long as he could before using the pine. I did try to transition him to pine slowly, spent over a month, but he clearly doesn't care for it, even though I think it's the best litter experience *I've* ever had, sigh.
I'm planning to try tofu litter next in hopes I don't have to go back to clay. Wish me luck! I was glad to see you liked it!

Similar experience here...
Once I learned about the amazing cost of equine pine, I was hooked!
However, after some observation, I learned that the dust, even when pairing with the Tidy Cats Breeze litter box system, caused my cat to itch severely!!!
So...pine is out!!!
Please observe your cat for pine dust allergy while using this option.
Just as humans can be allergic to wood dust, so can cats.

This video is amazing! We have the same options available in Australia and this has been so helpful showing the differences between them in action as we are looking to move away from crystal/silica to another type. I've had my eye on tofu but am very excited to try it out now!

Great and informative video. I am just a new cat parent since two months and try to test the different litters. So far the crystals worked out as best in my case (no odor and two weeks without general cleaning) but I've ordered the pet kit pura x and will check out as next the tofu litter as I would love to find something good for the environment, too.

I used bentonite before. But it was not flushable. Until we discovered tofu! Tofu is great! flushable and not messy. Love the smell of lavender.

Nice video. Im currently using crustal litter bcs i think they control odor the best, tou just jave to scoop out their poo daily to prevent the bad smelling. I've used bentonite and tofu before but im sticking with crystal. It's the best for me in terms of odor control and cleaning.

1. It absorbs liquid well
2. it is so easy to scoop only the poop
3.Cleaning the litter box is also easy
4. Great in odour control
5. One pack is enough for a cat for nearly a month

I use recycled clumping paper litter.
It doesnt break into small pieces, clumps quickly, does not stick on their paws or track around the home. It is environmentally friendly and can be flushed in the toilet. Since its quite dust free, its perfect for my cat with asthma. The only downside is the cost.
Ive tried bentonite, kenaf pine, non clumping paper litter ect. They are either bad for the environment ie bentonite, tracks around the house, is dusty , breaks apart or bad for cats' health.
It has been 4 years now of using clumping paper litter and i cant see any other types that ticks all the boxes for me.
I just wish it can be locally produced which will make it more affordable for more ppl. It really is the best option for the cat, the environment and the owner.

I agree with u on the size of tofu cat litter. I m still new with all this cats thing. Recently I bought tofu cat litter matcha. Smells good. I m trying to train the stray cats that always lingering on my porch . I find that when they pee it's easy n clumping..but when they poo the tofu litter not really clump. I guess the size of the tofu litter are matters

How do you switch cat litter to another type? i tried it before but my cat does not use the litter anymore. Also, i tried tofu and it's really great but, why does it produce algae? not algae to be exact, but those green like thingy that's spreading. Have you experienced that also? hope you'd answer 🤗
for switching litter, we just does it and they immediately know how to use it haha. For Tofu litter, we never experienced that, it might be your toilet area too humid, try to keep your room with natural airflow all the time while, even not using tofu litter, it is also important to prevent bacteria to spread in enclosed area

its safe, litter amount will come out from their system. it's not like they having it for dinner😂
