    Hey man - I love these videos. I fish out of my kayak out of seattle as well. Though after this weather change I'm mostly putting it away for the season as I shift over to hunting.

      Thanks. May still get a few good days for kayak fishing next week. After that, it’s going to be Chums in the Green river for me.

    Can you do a video on your fishing rig setup? Do you use a bumper line at all? Is your main line braided? How many pound test line do you use for your main and leader and bumper if you use one? How fast were you trolling at? Thanks..

      Main line- 65lb braid, 30lb mono/fluorocarbon leader. Try to troll at 3-3.5mph, but sometimes hard to achieve again wind and current.

    Thank you for the nice video. You described what terminal tackle (lure or bait) was used in 2:50-3:08 min. But it's not so clear to me. Could you tell what was exactly used please? Hoochie, spoon, or real herring?

    Are you allowed to park your van at that boat ramp parking if you are launching an inflatable? Since you have a Kayak, or do you go park in the general parking after you launch your kayak? Not sure what the rules is for using a no trailer...Thanks

      I'm almost 100% sure it is shilshole, I launch from there and everything looks like shilshole.

    Hello there! I want to start kayak fishing for coho in the Puget sound. I’m curious if a down rigger is absolutely necessary?

    • @boyang1998

      You can use a diver for controlled depth fishing also. Early in the morning, you can troll on the surface as well. But downrigger is a great option for depth control at all time

      I use a deep six diver with good results, size 2 mostly, sometimes size 1 for not as deep.

      @@TheCave99 that works

      But if you are going for kings you may need to get deeper than a deep six will go. There is a double deep six but it is heavy.

      @@TheCave99absolutely right. Kings are close to the bottom. I typically fish around 100ft in a 110-120 FOW

      @@boyang1998 is there a kayak that can do puget sound thats less than 1000? I'm desperate 😂

    • @boyang1998
      @boyang1998  10 місяців тому

      @@yousifsultan628 a trolling kayak on the Sound under $1000 will be tough since the pedal drive itself is about that. But a kayak with a paddle is easily doable, possibly with a motor ( I had this before current one)
