While Testing That, Reverse Warlock Punch And Reverse Warlock Punch In The Air Does The Same Amount Of Damage. Safe To Just Go For The Reverse Warlock Punch On The Ground.
TheTyphoon365 reverse aerial warlock punch is stronger. But it has to land in the air, not just be initiated in the air otherwise it just does reverse warlock punch damage. It’s hard to pull off, unless you are just spawning or got launched high into the air or jump off a platform and go offstage.
I think I've been in situations where I could've punished crossups with warlock punch but didn't think to reverse it or when I did read the crossup, they didn't cross up. The move's super armor can also nearly punish some big commitment moves like rapid jabs and dancing blades. Not a great move, but I'd argue it's underrated, as most view it useless. It can in very rare situations, catch ppl off guard as what I like to call a blue moon, which means mix ups that are really niche and/or big brain; options you use when you happen to have the right opening and the opponent can rationally ignore the fact that move exists. Dark dive is another fun move in the neutral that I like to use when ppl are on platforms shielding or reading with a laggy move. Nobody sees it coming. Another fun fact for the PT matchup specifically: Squirtle's side b will bounce off the shield, which can be punished by up smash. Squirtles like to assume they're safe with that move because invincibility, so you'll come across this often against PT players that might forget or not know. This might even work when parrying flare blitz, but I haven't tested it yet or came across it. I don't have a second controller nor do I live with another smash player, so labbing is limited for me.
With the side B, I’ve found that down smash eliminates the need to guess what direction the opponent’s rolling in, as it hits both sides. The only thing is, it has less range than the alternatives discussed here.
I've found sometimes.you can get kills by up B while waiting for you opponent to jump over you when they are hanging.on the ledge. Risky but so satisfying

His down tilt sends them upwards. It also can 2 frame the ledge but we're not trying to save our opponents we're trying to take a stock
@@TheEmeraldTyrant I use down tilt more for damage, reach, and set ups. I save my forward tilts for when I know I can reach and when I'm going for the kill, and coincidentally, I always like to yell "This is SPARTA!" against my brothers whenever I use it. It's stupid strong.
