    Another great video!
    Here’s some additional things I’ve noticed through my time using pocket Ganon.
    I’ve seen Nairo do Dthrow>Bair a lot, so I think that’s probably true. (Though I have no Idea how he pulls that input off consistently.)
    Side Special>Ftilt or Dtilt can work great on people. In my experience many people struggle with the timing of that tech.
    Sourspot Dash Attack> Nair
    is percent and character specific, but can lead to early kills on maybe half the cast at around 70-80% near ledge
    Ftilt is great for sending people off ledge. The angle it sends characters makes it nearly impossible for people to recover high, or at all, really.

    I think I've been in situations where I could've punished crossups with warlock punch but didn't think to reverse it or when I did read the crossup, they didn't cross up. The move's super armor can also nearly punish some big commitment moves like rapid jabs and dancing blades. Not a great move, but I'd argue it's underrated, as most view it useless. It can in very rare situations, catch ppl off guard as what I like to call a blue moon, which means mix ups that are really niche and/or big brain; options you use when you happen to have the right opening and the opponent can rationally ignore the fact that move exists. Dark dive is another fun move in the neutral that I like to use when ppl are on platforms shielding or reading with a laggy move. Nobody sees it coming. Another fun fact for the PT matchup specifically: Squirtle's side b will bounce off the shield, which can be punished by up smash. Squirtles like to assume they're safe with that move because invincibility, so you'll come across this often against PT players that might forget or not know. This might even work when parrying flare blitz, but I haven't tested it yet or came across it. I don't have a second controller nor do I live with another smash player, so labbing is limited for me.

      I uses to do his down tilt a lot like that but his forward tilt in my opinion is so much better. Why? Well for one it's like a sparta kick 😂 but aside from that it can kill quickly and the angle it sends opponents off is hard for many characters to recover from and it sets up for a down air spike or stage spike. His down tilt sends them upwards. It also can 2 frame the ledge but we're not trying to save our opponents we're trying to take a stock

    5-7 times to take a stock? Don’t be modest. One forward smash puts 2/3 of the roster into kill percent lol. I just hit Elite with him, and you reminding me of some buffer options will help my game. I hate the buffer system generally, probably skill issue though. Good reminder to reset me. Thanks. P.S. if you’re trying to get down throw>dash>up air get good at idj. It’ll work until pretty high percents, excluding the really light characters.

    Is fsmash a safer option after a side B tech chase if he rolls behind you? Because up until now I've been using Dsmash to punish backrolling players who tech my Side B, but I've been noticing some characters can react quickly enough to block the Dsmash drawback once they've rolled behind and also that more and more Ganon players choose the Fsmash option instead.

    • @JulesTrades

    I've mained Ganon from day 1 and he is no longer viable at all. His speed and recovery are way too bad to compete with any character in the game after the last patch. Any character on the roster can choose to derp him out to victory regardless of you being a better player. Thanks Nintendo.

    Hey man, what controller do you use for smash ultimate and what are some good options in your opinion? (My old GameCube controller broke)

    • @tomc.5704
      @tomc.5704 5 років тому

      Well you've got two (real) options. I've heard good things about the pro controller, so if you're playing ultimate exclusively that could be worth looking into. But there's a reason we all still use GameCube controllers. Nostalgia. And they work. And muscle memory takes like a week to retrain.

    Ganondorf is powerful, but once you know how to trap him with reads.. he's completely screwed because is kinda slow and predictable and easy to combo if your careful enough, but still he's a powerful fighter that guy only needs like 5 hits to knock you out.
