I have been using this scabbard for 2 years with the Shockwave, it's been great. I prefer the trigger being exposed and I like the overall fit and finish of this product. I recently added a TL Racker forend light on the Shockwave, which adds a little bit of overall size (girth) to the forend. It's a little snug at first but the scabbard seems to have stretched out just enough to still work well with the Shockwave. It is a bit snug and I thought it was going to be too tight at first but it has worked well over a period of time.
I like the exposed trigger for this reason. You’re in your vehicle and someone comes up on you from your side window real fast with a gun drawn. You don’t have time to grab your shotgun and yank it out of the scabbbard, rack a round , point it at the bad guy and then pull the trigger……oops and pushing the safety forward to fire. With the trigger exposed you can simply grab the entire package , pop the safety and pop a round through the bad guy and shave several life saving seconds from your actions. Yes you blow a hole through the end of the scabbard…..but you’re alive and driving away….maybe ….unless he shot you first. Let’s just hope he came to your door fumbling in his waistband which gave you Enough time to react. Yes the scabbard any way you look at it is a giant holster that will cost you time drawing especially if someone got the drop on you. It’s more of a carry case and protector not designed for gun fighting but you gotta make the best of it. Question: Is the strap hardware metal or plastic? If the loops are plastic then they’ll need replaced with some steel Or aluminum hardware loops and catches. I’d probably carry a tourniquet and a small IFAK on this. Looks like a nice scabbard.
IMO, the most important function of any holster, scabbard, sheath, etc...is to guard the trigger from accidentally being actuated. If you do carry your loaded shockwave in that, PLEASE don't carry it with a shell chambered!
Everyone talked about this being a good scabbard for a shockwave, and I made this video to let people make their own decision. After thinking about it, I made the same decision you did and think it isn't safe.
Just the info I was looking for. Ty.

Yea if it weren't for that trigger covering preference, it is a really nice scabbard!
How tight is it with the to racker?

It's pretty tight. You have to break it in if you want to be able to access it quickly.
Looks cool

Carrying with an empty chamber is a must for most pump-action shotguns in general. Very few are drop-safe.
therefore the shockwave has a safety. Of course you can carry it with a shell chambered
will it still fit the shockwave with a side saddle on? i doubt that
