Hawaiian Gun Laws with Cold Country Ammo
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 роки тому
I got to meet some great people at Cold Country Ammo while on the big island of Hawaii. I always enjoy learning about the gun laws and gun cultures in different parts of the country and I really enjoyed getting to know Mike and Sherwood. Their prices were reasonable by mainland standards, which is saying something in Hawaii, and they knew their stuff. I learned a-lot, and I'd recommend them if ...

LaRue Tactical A-PEG AR-15 Grip Review
Переглядів 1,4 тис.3 роки тому
This is the LaRue Tactical A-PEG Grip with a smooth finish. I think the smooth has plenty of grip and wouldn't suggest the rougher one unless you operate in a silicone factory. This grip had some flashing that had to be cleaned up, but was otherwise a fantastic grip and has earned a place on one of my rifles.
White Label Armory LPK AR-15 Budget Lower Parts Kit review
Переглядів 6473 роки тому
This was one of the cheapest complete LPK that are available. Generally speaking I recommend getting a LPK separate from the trigger and selecting your own trigger as this is a critical component to the overall quality of your rifle. In this case it was so cheap with trigger included I grabbed it for a spare.
AR-15 polymer vs Metal Magazine Weights Pmag vs L5AWM vs Brownells

VooDoo Tactical Breacher Shotgun Scabbard with Shockwave Review

I wanted to make the video so you could see how a Shockwave fits in this scabbard for yourself. If you have a side saddle or other bulky accessory on the receiver this might be optimal, as it does not cover the triggerguard and leaves most of the receiver exposed. No rear sling swivel, and no front sight, plus no threaded barrel because you can't mount a Silencer on a free floating Barrel. I believe they have some engineering to do.

    I do a lot of Deer Hunting in thick swamps. Have to do a lot of hiking in. I use the 12ga and have taken deer with it each year. Love the fact that it takes Beretta Mobile chokes. This gun can group extremely well. Do not let the 18" barrel fool you. I actually have two. The other is a Turkey 12 ga that came with a Turkey choke and a scope mount installed. This one is 22". I want a 20ga but hard to come by. These guns weigh only 4 1/2 lbs. I also have Adapters for various center fire calibers like 9mm and 20ga inserts as well.

    Remember HE or Elite has a 10yr warranty. The HS or Standard has a 3yr warranty. Just something reviewers never seem to mention. I agree on Auto Mode. I like a low setting in manual mode. A year later & she's still smoking pennies at 25y. Not a single issue. I also have the tp9sfx & love it. My carry is my G19X w/ Dagger Upper & HE 407c x2 green 2moa. No printing appendix carry with the right holster & clothing. However, I'm in TX, so we can open carry if we wanted too but that's kind of dumb. lol keep up the reviews 🤟

    I got my HE "elite" 407c x2 2moa green dot last year for less than $200 shipped new from OpticsPlanet & slapped it on my G19X w/ the Dagger SW4 Gatormouth cut Upper. I love this dot & I CCW it on my G19X. No printing, etc. You can make 60y coyote headshots easily. The dot would never cut off if your carrying it like i do but, it doesn't print at all compared to the grip

    First impression! I just received my steel strike. In my back yard after reading the instructions and viewing several U T videos. 1, buy a lot of CO 2 cylinders. You only get 3 - 4 30 round shots single or full (6) auto. 2, not very powerful. 20 feet from target all very low. 3, It needs an orange front sight. Very thin. Very hard to see in full daylight. The several Y T videos I seen. Now I know why they did not show distant from shooter to target. Those nice tight groups had to be very close range. I do know how to shoot firearms. I do get good grouping at the range all calibers 22 to 357 hand guns and 3006 9 mm 45 cal 7.62x39 long guns. I know I went out to just get the feel of the Steel Strike. BUT I do shoot to hit. If you just have money to waste to just have fun. OK otherwise save your money

    Thank you for taking the time to make this review. Just thought you should know that Duramag SS are Stainless Steel so what you may have found isn’t actually rust but rather a coating that somewhat resembles light rust but assure you it’s not rust. Duramag CPD used to use their proprietary lube on their SS mags along with milspec ss springs but have since switched to Teflon coatinged and Chrome Moly spring which last longer than standard SS milspec springs. Thanks again 👍🏻

      @5Minuteman Рік тому

      Nice. You seem to have some inside information!

    • @txgreek3512
      @txgreek3512 Рік тому

      Well, I’ve been around the block a bit. Have run every mag on the market and have found myself tossing or giving away magazines that I’d worry about their feed lips when stored loaded. Milspec springs are NOT the crème de la crème of springs as stainless steel springs are required for military use for all weather and elements but the chrome moly springs are much better choice for those of us not submerging our mags in salt water. Btw, the military has deemed magazines as disposable after 30-40 reloads per magazine. The new Duramag magazines run Chrome Molly springs designed to far exceed mil spec springs life span. I’m a huge Duramag fan boy and have “your” previous stainless steel versions with that coating which I even thought was rust but after a great conversation with their customer service, Justus explained the previous processing detail of that coating that resembles rust but rub gun oil on it and it disappears. New SS mags are Teflon coated and no longer use mil spec springs. I have lots of the 556 and 308 mags and after thousands of rounds I’ve had ZERO failures. Get more of them, stock up cause they’ll eventually and if standard magazine capacities become hard to get then they’ll become the most expensive mags on the market. Duramags RULE!

  • @vikingrobot4179
    @vikingrobot4179 Рік тому

    I like the exposed trigger for this reason. You’re in your vehicle and someone comes up on you from your side window real fast with a gun drawn. You don’t have time to grab your shotgun and yank it out of the scabbbard, rack a round , point it at the bad guy and then pull the trigger……oops and pushing the safety forward to fire. With the trigger exposed you can simply grab the entire package , pop the safety and pop a round through the bad guy and shave several life saving seconds from your actions. Yes you blow a hole through the end of the scabbard…..but you’re alive and driving away….maybe ….unless he shot you first. Let’s just hope he came to your door fumbling in his waistband which gave you Enough time to react. Yes the scabbard any way you look at it is a giant holster that will cost you time drawing especially if someone got the drop on you. It’s more of a carry case and protector not designed for gun fighting but you gotta make the best of it. Question: Is the strap hardware metal or plastic? If the loops are plastic then they’ll need replaced with some steel Or aluminum hardware loops and catches. I’d probably carry a tourniquet and a small IFAK on this. Looks like a nice scabbard.

      @@5Minuteman Not necessarily. The auto adjust is not very smart. If you're standing in a darker area (say shade) and shooting into a brighter area (or vice versa) the optic will get fooled and set the brightness wrong. Also, I don't think the shake awake feature requires the auto settings. It's just using an accelerometer to detect the motion and that shouldn't require the solar panel to be enabled. I don't own one so I can't be sure about that, but I would think the manual would tell you.
