That soup looks SO good! And i admire you just going for it with baking! Nothing I bake turns out . . . even with a recipe, haha. Thank you so much for collaborating with me!
I'm the same way. I'm very indecisive, so you cooking doesn't come easy when I'm constantly thinking, "is it done? No needs a little more time. Ok, done now? Hmmm... Idk. Maybe just a couple more minutes." Oh look... burnt cookies. Yum! 🤣
Pork loin roast. Preheat oven to 375. Place roast in baking dish sprayed with oil. Take a jar of orange marmalade. Add 2 tbs soy sauce to the marmalade. Spread over roast. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Cook uncovered until internal temp of meat is 145 f. Let roast rest 10 min prior to cutting.
Grocery hauls/prep are so helpful because feeding my family is a real challenge for me sometimes. I get easily overwhelmed at the grocery store, and I get tired eating the same things and I lose creativity with meals, etc. So it's really helpful to see what other people are buying and cooking to get some inspiration and get me back on track.
A super easy pumpkin bread/muffin recipe is a spice cake mix, a 15oz can of pureed pumpkin, 2 eggs, and 1 tsp pumpkin spice. Mix it all together, pour into greased loaf pan, and bake for 55 minutes at 350. It is a pantry staple for snowy Illinois winters.
Lynette, that was a very full day. Shopping at 3 stores, cleaning out fridge, pantry put away. Snack prep, baking and making dinner and pregnant. You are amazing!
Lynette really is! 😍 But I think a lot of people would say the same about you, sweet momma! You sharing your faith in your vlogs is amazing and a huge inspiration to me and others I'm sure. ❤
Thanks Lynn, for the lovely post. I enjoy cooking and baking videos. Also love seeing your decor touches. Your house is beautifully put together. I feel I need to learn in that department :). Keep up your wonderful Work! I also really Appreciate your spiritual inspiration that you've shared in the past. God bless you.
Lynette, a pie we love using sweetened condensed milk is Kool-Aid pie, tastes like a no bake cheesecake. Give it a try (If you haven't had it before, of course!), even though it can't be super healthy, it's fun to eat once in awhile!: You'll need 4 ingredients: A 13 oz. Kool-Aid drink mix (lemon or cherry taste the best), an 8 oz. tub of whipped topping (Cool Whip), a 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk, and a 9" graham cracker crust (pre-made). Blend the first 3 ingredients together using a stand mixer then pour it into the pie shell, refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Great food haul. It's so nice to see you prep. I'm sure it makes things so much easier. For the pork, I put it in the crock pot with barbecue sauce for pulled pork. It's really good.
I get a kick out of your videos. I grew up in a Mennonite church in Goshen, In., and was familiar with all the ladies wearing coverings and later the "doileys". Glad to see and hear you keeping the faith ! Gary G.
Good price on the ground beef. It was $3.00 a lb this morning. I love pumpkin muffins. You can freeze leftover ones. I just filmed a food prep video and it will be up soon!
Your soup looks delicious. I love soups! 😋😋 I also think that your pumpkin/cream cheese muffins sound wonderful. You do a great job at prepping ahead! God bless! Look forward to seeing your next video! ❤❤😊😊🙏🙏
Hi Lynette. Here’s a family recipe for your pork tenderloin in the crock pot: sauce is equal parts ketchup, apple butter and Catalina dressing. Put the pork loin in the crock pot. Pour 1-1.5 cups of each of the three things to make the sauce. Cook on low all day. Pork will fall apart and it’s so good! You can do more or less sauce to your taste. For one of those pork loins I would probably start with 1 cup of each (so 3 cups total).
Must try the Cheeseburger Soup! For the past few years, we have made soups every weekend - chicken soup, beef & vegetable soup, kale, white bean, and kielbasa soup. We will sometimes just start with a base of stock, then add whatever we have on hand (I've never tried fish soup). I'm thinking we would like the Cheeseburger Soup. Thank you for sharing.
As hard as its been to get dinner on the table, without some sort of help, with my new little one, that's was extremely motivating and inspiring! 😊 Hello to the sweetest baby girl bump! ❤
I get the frozen PB&J sandwiches too and I wonder if people see them in my cart and think I’m lazy. Lol. But they’re such a quick easy thing I can grab out of the freezer and put in my daughter’s lunch once in a while. Plus I figure they help keep the rest of her lunch cold. 😊
I marinade pork tenderloins in a teriyaki, soy, garlic powder and brown sugar and sometimes a little sriracha sauce. I mix the marinade to taste. Marinade the roast about an hr. Then I grill them. They don’t take long, around 3-4 mins per side. They are technically 3 sided. Grill until the temperature u like. So good this way
My only observation about the muffins is to carefully fold the liquid ingredients into the dry just till blended. It will help greatly with the density. The look yummy
Soup looks delicious! You got some nice clothes at Sam’s. I have purchased a lot of their shirts and clothes and they were really good quality. I think you will like them. Hey there is nothing wrong with buying lunch stuff that makes your life easier. Loved your video! Thanks for sharing!
I always do pork tenderloin in my crockpot. Just seasoning, and a little water. Shred when done and serve as “tacos” on corn tortillas. With sour cream, salsa, avocado, cilantro, tomato, cheese, whatever...
The soup looks amazing! Love your grocery hauls and food preps, too. I’m about to get better at food prep because I’m trying to stay focused on eating more healthy than has become our norm. Wish me luck! 😝
I slice the pork tenderloin a into pork chops and then save the ends and make pulled pork. If you cut in half the slice towards the ends you can get amazing pork chops.
From one buckeye to another...it's like listening to my grocery list lol. You can tell you are from Ohio and it's fall lol. These are always fun to watch, I love to see what other people consider pantrt staples. Fun video.
Great video Lynette going to Sam's love the pumpkin long sleeve shirt! Also going to try the cheeseburger soup thk you so much for sharing sweetheart! You're baby bump is growing so cute!!! God Bless you and your beautiful family...🌾🍂🍁🎃
I haven’t finished watching the video yet-just got to the pork loin part. I buy pork loins on sale and slice them into pork chops and freeze them. Lots of meals!
If you have dry muffins or cake, why not turn them into a Trifle? Just tear up your Pumpkin Muffins into a bowl and layer them with Vanilla Pudding, Whipped Cream and Apple Pie Filling etc...those flavours all compliment one another OR pick another pudding and some other type of fruit OR just use Fruit Cocktail...
Online at Amazon they have a stainless steel press(15-20) that you can use to make your own uncrustables, it does seal the edges. It works great. I use it for my granddaughter. PB&nutella, PB& different flavor jellies. I even use it to make egg and ham(or a variation). Just freeze them and poof, grab and go. I’m not a make everything kinda gal, but these took me less than 30 minutes to make 2 loaves of bread.
Hi Lynette, Muffins do not have to be beaten. Stir everything together until just combined and then put into your Muffin tins (don't be tempted to beat like a cake), guaranteed much softer Muffins. Best wishes.
On those pork tenderloins I like to poke a few holes with a knife and sprinkle it with a couple tablespoons of Balsamic vinegar, rub olive oil on the top and add garlic powder and pepper and roast. It gets nice and brown on the top and stays moist inside. I usually roast some small potatoes at the same time.
I haven't watched your videos in a while. I had a baby and things got crazy. Lol I saw you were house hunting, and I live in FL too! Gosh this heat is crazy. ALDI, SAMS AND PUBLIX ARE my go-tos! Glad y'all are doing well. Love & blessings!
I got a pork loin here while back from Sam's. It was wrapped in bacon. I put it in the crockpot and put Hughes sugar free bbq sauce on it. Oh my goodness it was sooooo good. 💗
Lynette we freeze the gogurts for school lunches.. our Granddaughter also enjoys eating them frozen in the fall heat after school at our( Papa's & Grammy's) house.. You need to simplify your life as a Mom at times. We all do. It is ok. You are looking really good at this stage of your pregnancy.. Get some rest while the boys are at school. GOD BLESS
When I'm stocking up for lunch hauls for the kids I hide those items. Currently they are in my lg thermal tote in my master closet ~ LOL. If I don't hide those certain items they'll be gone in no time. Another great video!!!
I ❤ Pampered Chef products. I have several items. My favorite is the stone bake-wear and bamboo utensils. I always forget to use my food chopper though...
Hi! I'm new here from Katie’s channel. I love watching y’all cook. If only you girls would have been around when I was a newlywed.....I would have loved that. I loved cooking then but not as much now. I do it because my husband loves for me to cook. 😊
Lynette, that soup looks so tasty. I also love anything pumpkin n was craving for a pumpkin muffin or pumpkin flavored coffee. Thanks for sharing with us. Luv u much my Sister. Blessing to you Nick n the boys.
Oh I’d love to make those pumpkin muffins. Sadly here in Germany you can not buy pumpkin purée, I tried buying it a few years ago and ended up with pickled pumpkin ... If you prep carrots just put them in a water filled container and drain before eating. That way they stay crisp and fresh. Lots of love from Germany
It's hard to get in Australia too. You can make your own. Just steam or boil pumpkin until it is very soft, then use a blender (or stick blender) to puree it
Hi Lynette, thank you for your video! What is your opinion regarding organic food vs not organic as well as such ingredients such a high fructose corn syrup, palm oil, gmo vegetable oils, especially when it comes to kids. Would greatly appreciate your thoughts on that!
Put garlic powder and onion powder, salt and pepper on a pork loin, put it in your slow cooker and pour a can of rootbeer over it. Let it cook on low all day. It makes the best pulled pork ever!
I love the Magnolia Journal! My husband got me a subscription to it for Mother's Day. That volume of it has some great recipes in it. I want to try the creme brulee recipes! 😋 I love your channel. I have two little boys close in age to yours.
Hi Lynette, great vid, loved it. BTW, have you heard of Marcia Adams? She has these wonderful Mennonite and Amish cook books with stories about Mennonite life, they're wonderful books. You can find them on Amazon if you don't already have them. God bless.

That soup looks SO good! And i admire you just going for it with baking! Nothing I bake turns out . . . even with a recipe, haha. Thank you so much for collaborating with me!
Lol. I did have a recipe that I went by but then I decided to tweak a few things to make it my own 🤪 but it could still use more help!
I'm the same way. I'm very indecisive, so you cooking doesn't come easy when I'm constantly thinking, "is it done? No needs a little more time. Ok, done now? Hmmm... Idk. Maybe just a couple more minutes." Oh look... burnt cookies. Yum! 🤣

What a nice idea for a menu for a chilly fall day. Cheeseburger soup and pumpkin cream cheese muffins. Then a nap!! Thank you for those ideas.
Save all those carrot ends, onion peelings, celery ends etc in a gallon size baggie in your freezer. When time permits make stock out of them. Delish.
Mine to I love life cereal I was going to buy some today I love going to Sam's
