The white film is a mixture of skin oils and dead skin. If you look at well-worn leather recliners that aren't cleaned often, the head will leave this film over time. It does clean off, but if you neglect it for a long period, it is VERY hard to clean. My dad's recliner developed this issue, which is why I know. Unfortunately, he has a very oily scalp. Thank goodness I don't suffer from the same condition.
I just received my chair today and put it together in about 30 minutes (I take my time when building disassembled furniture...think Ikea) and so far, I'm REALLY impressed. I've read so many negative reviews, but I am a heavy man and need good support, not soft, supple nothingness. My back is already feeling the difference! I also have an extra-firm mattress, so I guess this chair kind of fits my MO. I agree, it's not for everyone. For me? YUP!
    Great, honest review! Subscribed!

Hi Nick! I Just watched your review which was very interesting in my opinion so thanks to you and thumbs up! Can't believe you only got 16 likes for it 😯I just ordered the 2020 version with the SoftWeave fabric (as it gets really hot during the summers where I live in the south of France + no A/C in that room) and I also don't have a dog at home so the chair should remain clean 😁
Keep it up with the reviews! 🤠

Great Review, I have had my titan XL for over a year now and I do have a lot of issues with damage. Part of it could be my weight mixed with ADHD rocking and constantly adjusting in it, but I have had the same arm rest issue except mine eventually did break. After going through support, found it was not the arm, but the bottom of the frame in the seat that fails first. They replaced it no questions asked. My other issue has to do with the tilt mechanism, it has now broken twice in the same spot in the guts of the mechanism. First time they replaced it and they are in the process of doing it a second time. But during the replacement process, they ask for you to remove they hydraulic piston and the wheel base. Those things won't come off if it's a heavily used chair, it almost feels welded on. They replaced the wheel base and piston as well. Overall, Customer Service is a 10/10 but the chair quality for long term use needs work and I could not buy another once my warranty expires.

Hi! Great review! I do have one question that I hope you can answer. Have you felt the chair lower overtime? Like does the Hydraulic Piston hold up overtime? Because all of the chairs that I've bought lower overtime due to the Piston (It mostly happens after 1 year) and I'm hoping that the Titan 2020 is the chair I've been looking for.

Thankfully I have yet to see any type of lowering of the chair with my usage! The Hydraulic Piston seems to be just as strong as it was on Day 1
