It probably feels softer because of the larger surface area which means the surface area is more lax and lets you sink a little more, whereas in the smaller seats the curved sides support you more creating a more solid, less sinking feeling?
Finally, a real review for women. I'm 5'4 and also asian, and I sit cross legged (indian style). Thank you for also having different heights and weights to compare. It would have been nice to have them try to sit in the chairs for long periods of time to test for lower back pain. The adjustable lumbar support is important as we get older.
Hey! So for lower back pain, I always recommend a more ergo chair. I just released a best chair buying guide for 2023. But the racing style gaming chairs have certain advantages, such as the recline. If I had to put a % on it, I would say about 20-30% prefer a racing style gaming chair, whereas more like 50-70% would prefer an office style ergonomic chair! There are some cases where people love their Titan Evo 2022 over a $1,900 Herman Miller chair, so I still believe racing style gaming chairs still have a place in the chair world!
I love that they made a smaller option but I also feel like they didn’t get enough input from short people on the design.
Yeah the depth of the seat literally dont differ from each size. And thats the most important part

Thanks for getting some ladies to comment on the sizes of the chairs! I just got a regular myself and I'm 5'4" and I was wondering what the other sizes were feeling like for other women out there. Cool to see what other folks of different heights think and how it really is just a matter of preference. I was worried I should have ordered a smaller chair but this making me feel a lot more confident in my selection. Yay! The magnetic pillow by the way is a game changer. So cool!

Hey, does it feel like the back of your knees are digging into the seat? That's the biggest drawback of the regular for me!

What did you end up getting?
This is really great! I ended up getting a Titan Evo 2022 after watching a few of your other reviews and found that even though my measurements match the Regular size based on their chart and the size finder, I actually prefer the XL size.
I'm a smaller dude. I love this video because it gives me a better idea of sizing! Please do more of this! I would 100% love one of these on the NeueChair too please!

Thank you Ahnestly this was super helpful, im a 5,11 guy and was unsure about getting the regular vs XL because I wasw worried about the head cushion magnets on the XL not going low enough. But seeing Hayoung able to sit with her head leaned back comfortable, despite being shorter than me, on the XL really gave me peace of mind on getting the XL.

I'm 5'11 also. How is the XL for you? Do your feet touch the ground comfortably?
@@Andypandy26 it's honestly been working pretty great, head cushion height is good, but if you slouch heavily it lose connection with the magnets but that honesty hasn't been a problem for me.
As for the feet height, unless you go to the highest setting possible your will be able to touch the ground. i would try to get an idea of how high your desk is to know if that will be a problem. but as long as you keep your chair below 75% of its max height your feet will def touch the ground.
and even if they dont you can always get a cheap foot rest off of amazon

I can't thank you enough for this guide! Most reviews/guides I see are people around 170cm above. I'm only around 161.5cm tall so it was nice to see a review of someone actually close to my height! Have been looking at buying a new WFH chair and was debating between the aeron which i have at work and a secret labs. This worried me because I wanted to make sure I was getting the best out of the headrest and lumbar. After watching this video, I felt reassured and knew that the XL was the chair for me! Great video! I think it would be more helpful if the measurements were included of the ladies like how you did with Edmund and Yong in the sizing guide video. That would make it better imo. Also the recline feature should've been used on all 3 chairs not just the XL. Thanks for the great content. We appreciate you Dan!
Thank you! Yeah I wanted to, but it’s not exactly easy for me to measure the ladies and when they measured themselves, everyone kept using a different method lol so Hayoung came out with shorter dimensions than jenny (but she’s like 10” taller lol)

i’m 5’2 & my dilemma was that i want the new cyberpunk skin but it’s only available for the regular sized chair. it was pretty much a non negotiable for me & i was soooo worried i’d regret getting a regular but seeing the 5’3 girl enjoy even the XL helped solidify my decision & make me feel better about getting a regular as i do also prefer a little extra room, if she’s content with the XL at 5’3 i think the regular will be perfect for me. thank you so much to you & the girls for putting this video together, $700+ (CAD) on a chair is a huge decision so comprehensive information like this video are imperative to making the right choice. appreciate it!

they really need to take women into consideration when designing their next generation of chairs and give us some proper options instead of us just having to pick the smallest chair even though it's still designed for men. the shape and measurements are still out of whack for our bodies.
then start your own chair company or dont buy
Gaming is dominated by men. Women are only but a fraction in the gaming industry.its not a business decision from their end.
I love this video! So helpful when looking at sizes because with my 5'9 height- I could get the reg or XL but my thighs say XL 🤣Having a different people test the chairs is really helpful to see!
Huh this is a really interesting video even as a guy I find it enlightening also to see how everyone sits or where their comfort point is. I like that shorter women that I know also like to sit crisscross style only because that has never been comfortable for me. Being 5'10 I liked seeing everyone's review and I was a little surprised about the favorites ended up being. I guess that shows how little I actually know about how other people are comfortable and what size of chair or what they feel in them.

Same haha. Given my size and weight I should go for the S but seing the smaller ladies prefer the XL makes me doubt getting th S 🤣 I've got long legs and bretzel style sitting so maybe XL will fit better ? So confused hahaha

Thank you for this review! I'm 4'11 and my current chair is much too large for me so I'm looking at replacing it in the future. Honestly, I wish Secretlab had a size in between Small and XXS (the child/collectible chair) - a size XS but at the same time, I understand there may not be a big enough of a market for that to happen.
they did just coen out with xxs chairs
Those chairs don't really have the full range of features though - armrests don't move much and there is no lumbar support in the chair

knowing some of the specific measurements can help in the future, like sole to knee, knee to hip, hip to neck ... but very helpful vid, was certain id be getting the regular (5'9), but now im getting the xl when hearing its softer and will allow me to get more creative in different sitting styles
also xl making julie look like a kid had cracking up 🤣
So I tried doing that, but it’s actually a lot more difficult to do…everyone measures from different areas even when all using the same guide. Julie measured herself and her legs were longer than Hayoung’s leg! Lol so to prevent that confusion, I opted to keep it out.

Just stumbled upon your video, as I'm now looking to buy a new chair to exchange my Ikea Järvfjället.
It helped me to make up my mind about the size. I feared that XL would be too big for me with my 173cm, and with regular I feared it would be too narrow, and that fear seems to be kind of confirmed. If I don't find better and affordable chair, secret labs would be on my buy list.
Really nice review, it'll be useful to know if they had improved the softness quality or perhaps the cushion degraded in such a short timeframe
They didn't change their foam. I think the XL just has softer foam. I wouldn't call it cushion degrading - I just think it's softer and a big improvement over the feel of the other 2 sizes!
@@Ahnestly I'm so down for that! For me it's about seat depth. And cushion height. I saw the depth, but would you know cushion height? My fav wingback chair is about 21" deep from edge of seat to front of back rest. I like it for the knee support, actually where some dont. If I buy, will be the XL:) So glad I watched this!
Thank you for this! I'm 150cm and 75kg. I was looking at the small size, but since I'm a heavyset person, and I normally sit like a pretzel on my chairs (sometimes the "normal way" when I have to stretch them out), I'm feeling confused.
Also, the regular is what's normally available here, and I was wondering if that would work well for me as well? I like my chairs a bit more roomy, after all, but I don't want to get something that would be really bad for my back/legs as well.
What would you suggest? Should I wait for the small to be in stock, or would a regular actual be a better fit for me?

Personally being 5ft also I recommend size xxs it’s so comfy and actually does well with a regular desk size even though it’s made for kids

I'm 5'3''-4" and extremely happy with XL. Enough room to sit cross-legged and other positions. Feels like a business class seat on a flight.
As a 6'2 male, ended up here looking for thoughts on differences between regular and XL. I did take a look at the other video you did, but sadly xl was not included in it.

Thank you so much for this! I use my chair for office work, not gaming, but it's so rare to find the women's perspective on chairs. I have an Omega 2020 and considering replacing with a Titan Evo 2022.
Did you? I'm wanting to replace my Omega and my biggest complaint with it is the hardness of the cushion.
The evo 2022 is still a hard cushion. If you like the racing style gaming chair, check out my video on the andaseat Kaiser 3. It’s my favorite racing style gaming chair right now because the cushion feels a lot better/softer
@@shalaneproctor1103 I just got my Titan Evo 2022 (small) yesterday. The size is perfect and the integrated lumbar support is fantastic. The cushion is very stiff - stiffer than my Omega 2020 that I've had for 2.5 years. Hopefully it gets better with use, I think the Omega got better with use. But I prefer a firmer cushion - when I've bought chairs that were comfortable right out of the box, the foam was complete garbage after a year or two and I was sitting on the plywood platform.
@@rpidrivestick I actually went with the Evo XL softweave (had it for about 2 weeks) and it's a perfect size for me except the back. I'm a 5'4" female 160lbs, but wider hips and I really like sitting cross legged most of the time. I really like it so far, but agree on the stiffness. I switch back and forth using a seat cushion I got off Tamu for a few bucks. I actually went with the Evo after watching @Ahnestly video on the Kaiser 3 because I can handle a stiffer cushion, but what I can't handle is being hot from the leather and sinking into the cushion lol. The lumbar support is nice, but hard to find the sweet spot sometimes.

I wonder how many others like to site cross legged, or one leg under? All these girls. I do as well. The XL was perfect for me to get my legs up. I didn't even assemble/fit the armrests, I never use them. I am 5'7", but with a very long back and very short legs, I sit taller than men who are well over 6' tall, so the high back of the XL is perfect. My toes can only just touch the floor, so I use a foot rest. BTW, the plaque on the side of mine says '2022/2023 Series'. Yes, sleep is easy. OK, let's call them 'naps'. A half to a full hour easy, so comfortable.

Are those little back thingies you can put at the bottom for when you want to lean back kind of??? I like leaning back. I'm used to a giant leather recliner (it's ripped in places and it's just so bulky and annoying to move). I'm 5'4 and 202lbs and I think the regular size would work for me. I'm autistc and can't handle change very well so hopefully I can find one that will work for me. I'm hoping to get this for Christmas. I can't afford one of these, is why. My aunt usually gets us presents and nobody else and she can afford expensive stuff like that. So, I'm hoping to pick the right one and get it for Christmas! Oh, and my birthday is on the 22nd so it can be a combined into one big present like family like to do for me sometimes!

I am currently in the market for a new chair, and after every review I watch I keep flipping between wanting a gaming chair and wanting an ergo office chair. Hearing that other women enjoy these chairs scores a huge point in the gaming chair collum for me, but I feel like it's also making the decision harder! My chair would be in my bedroom, right next to my bed so I wouldn't want it too big or ugly - however the comfort opportunities of these chairs can't be ignored.
tldr; can't pick between titan evo and similarly priced office chairs
I guess it really depends on the price. The good thing about high end office chairs you can try them and return them without penalty. To return a secret lab chair will set you back 150-200. Suggest you try one out before you order one.

@@LAMO0212 Ya i heard it is tougher over there. Honestly I have yet to find the perfect chair for myself. Luckily we have channels like this that try and aid us on our search. Good luck but I highly recommend you try the fern by haworth without the lumbar it has been my favorite chair so far and yes i have tried embody aeron and most all high end steelcase.
This is a tough one. Many chairs in the $500-600 range are overpriced and not great. I have 3 sitting in my studio that I'm going to crap on in a couple weeks bc of these very reasons. The Titan Evo 2022 is a well built chair, and even offers nice head/neck support, which most chairs can't do or don't do well. Try checking out the Bowery and I THINK you should be able to return for free on Amazon (not sure since I'm in the USA)

I've never tried the Kaiser 3 so I can't say...wish I could say definitively!
I tried Kaiser 2 and evo 2022 XL. Anda is much more comfortable yet great support. I can spend hours in teh anda and not feel it where titan evo I could only sit 1-2 hours max at a time. I have not tired Kaiser 3 yet but based on my experience with the 2 and the tita evo 2022, I will get the Kaiser 3 instead.

I just received a Secretlab Titan EVON Titan Leatherette in Black.
The box was well padded, instructions were very clear, but what these reviews don’t mention is the formaldehyde like smell from the chair materials. I’m currently airing it out and hopefully the strong nauseating smell will disappear. Overall, the materials are sturdy, good framing, but the lumbar support looks lame. I’ll have to try it out for at least a week or two to determine if it justifies the $580 price tag. Good luck

i have been checking out your videos related to this chair and have found them very helpful. But I am still not sure about whether to go SM or REG. Just a couple things... I think it would help to have some of the leg measurements of the testers, specifically Hip to Knee & Knee to Floor, possibly Seated Hip Width as well. I am 5'2" but have wider hips & frame than your slender/smalled testers and this has been a huge issue for me since all Specs and videos do not tell you what the inner width of the seats are between the "wings" - same for the back. Lastly, a lot of the buyer/review info I am finding says that the seat depth on both chairs is about 1" deeper than on SecretLabs' Spec sheets. This has made the decision that much more difficult so some insight to this would be helpful. But this was a great vid, TY!
No problem! How do you plan to sit in the chair? Do you plan to curl up like the people in this video? Asking because at 5'2, you will not be able to sit "normally" in this chair, but to be fair, you probably won't be able to sit "normally" in any chair, since they're not designed for that height :-(
@@Ahnestly HI! you know the more research I do (incl watching your chairs for short ppl & foot rest vids) makes me realize that. So I included foot rests in my research as well. I have a pinched nerve so I need a lot of height when I sit. Like I said, your vids were the most informative and I plan to use your line if I bite the bullet - nice work! I also plan to post actual msmts of whatever I buy in the forums.

i am 160cm tall but just over 120kg thank you for the measurements my fit would be reg but i am concerned about weight rating for the reg.
I tried contacting them but they just referred me to their size chart which isn't helpful .
The weight rating does 2 things: helps understand the weight capacity of the cylinder (the mechanism that lets your chair go up and down) and second, prevents the chair from tipping over if you're leaned back.
I would say for the lean back, just be very careful when you do it. Don't go full tilt backwards! As for the cylinder, these are super easy to purchase and replace if it ever does give out on ya!

I am 165 cm tall (5'4-5'5 ft), from your previous video - you recommended the Small size chair. Regular would be too big. XL... Out of question.
But taking regards at Jenny's and Ester's Opinion (Which they have similar height to mine), they actually loved the XL 😁.
So taking all of the above into account, I would love to hear what you have to share.

Hey! So I would say it really depends on how you sit. If you sit normally, then you’d be best off with a small and may need to get a footrest (I made a video on multiple footrests which you can check out!). If you sit curled up, you could go for the bigger sizes! Hope this helps!

Neo is NOT breathable at all, very uncomfortable and I am in a decent weather climate- not hot and not cold. If your body sweat even a little bit, you’ll find neo uncomfortable. Combined with the level of hardness that the evo titan has, it makes sitting unpleasant

Hi, on the Secretlab website, under TITAN Evo 2022 Series and I clicked on the size Sizing Comparison Chart, it said the Small and Regular are the same from floor to seat base(45-52cm). But you were saying the Regular and XL(46-55.5cm) are the same from floor to seat base.....should I trust the Secretlab or you, can you measure it and tell me??

Jenny and Esther, isn't they sat on the same size chair??I guess that not because the size of the chair, seem like its because they have different body type....If the chair seat were same height when they sat on it. In the pic, Jenny's leg is longer.
I don't know how Secretlab is measuring, but I measured meticulously and those are my findings.
