One of the greatest bands to ever walk the face of the Earth rest in peace to all members of Lynyrd Skynyrd that are not with us anymore I'll always miss you and I always love your music till my last breath
I had all their Albums damn I played them on my cassette in the car all the time, Oh the 70's brings back so many many great times with friends and lovers!
The magic of the band is that its just everyday blue collar people music. The current Skynyrd has some really good songs you should check out like Simple Life, Love Don't Always Come Easy or Red White And Blue
The pianist Billy Powell, was a concert pianist, they dent know it, he was a booker/ manager, they went 2 git lunch came back, he was doing piano 4/ Freebird, and th rest is histry
The songs that don’t get played on heavy rotation by them are deserving of a listen too. Just check out their double live album. One More From the Road.
Yes! One More From the Road is a live album at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, donations made to the Save the Fox Foundation. It's unbelievable that that venue was on the verge of demolition.
Synyrd’s One More From the Road and the Stones’ Get Your Ya Yas Out are tops in my list of best live albums. I give a strong honorable mention to Thin Lizzy’s Live and Dangerous
I'm enjoying y'all playing and reacting to the Skynyrd deep cuts. They really don't have a bad song. Thanks and looking forward to more. Made In the Shade would be a good one for y'all check out.
This is great. No song is bad by them. IMO opinion "Give Me Back My Bullets' is best song by them. After this and other love songs to booze and drugs, Give Me Back My Bullets is a song about moving on from the addictions and gettin back in the game....would be a great reaction for you guys to do.....whiskey is great, but sooner or later you gotta get it together lol....
Check out the VH1 behind the music about Skynyrd it is a great watch. Also there is a great documentary on the music about muscle shoals alabama where Skynyrd, the rolling stone, percy sledge and many other artists recorded their music.
I know you do these reactions but don't let that stop you from listening to the bands first five albums. You will not find a bad song and the band went thru different musicians, When it was just Allen and Gary on guitars they used Billy Powell on piano almost like the third guitarists. Billy was classically trained pianist and he added so much to the band. Anyone that says they saw LS recently saw Gary and others that played with him not TLSB.
Wife here..Hey You Guys..,I've been really really down lately.., And my FAVORITE REACTION CHANNEL is reviewing an AWESOME Skynard song (I always LOVED this paticular song...(Not too overplayed on radio).YOU 2 ALWAYS On POINT!!!🥰❤. The Guitar..,Voice with a jazzy Bluesy sound..Yessss Ms. Asia!!!.Not brown Not going down..YesssBJ
From there album Nuthin Fancy. My second favorite album from them. Interesting note.. This was Artimus Pyles first album with them replacing Bob Burns on Drums and Guitarist Ed Kings last album with them. Background vocals Bass Player Leon Wilkenson.
Billy Powell was the piano player, it is not widely known but he was their roadie and when they first recorded free bird he played that part while Skynyrd was at lunch and they came in and heard it and decided to add it he was a classical trained concert pianist.
Asia and B J This is the best southern rock band ever Maybe the best Rockin Roll Band period You can make a list of all their songs and close your eyes and put your finger on one and I bet that you will like it or at least be able to relate to it in some way This band had so many great songs it’s almost unbelievable that they had this many songs in such a short period of time They didn’t start performing live until 1973 and Ronnie died in the plane crash in 1977 But everyone reacts to their most popular songs and Most people has never listen to their best songs There’s to many to name But just a few like Am I Losing Again, Gypsy Rockin Roller,One More Time, I Never Dreamed and One of my favorites Trust
Keith James- Lynyrd Skynyrd performed live waaay before 1973.Pronounced was released in 73 (if I recall correctly) but Skynyrd as a band performed live and cut their teeth doing live shows for nearly a decade before their first album was released.
Yet another fabulous song by Skynyrd (and one that apparently few have even reacted to). And yeah, there's something about them that's really hard to quantify. So much talent... Fantastic reaction as always!
There are two chapters to Lynyrd Skynyrd. The pre-crash Hall of Fame Band. (Pre-1977) The Band that wrote all of the big hits. Led by the legendary Ronnie Van Zant. Then the post crash line-up. Which,.. let's just say,.. is not a Hall of Fame Band!
From a Jacksonville Florida native and a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd can't help be a fan when your Momma & Daddy raised you on Lynyrd Skynyrd Please do yourself a Favor and do JACKSONVILLE KIDD....
yall should check out LS's "T for Texas", specifically the "Live 1976 Knebworth" performance. real sweet. This song "Whiskey a Roller Live Winterland 1975" performance also rules.
You should check out the Rossington Collins band Gary rossington and Alan Collins both lead guitar players for Lynyrd Skynyrd. They survived the plane crash and went on to form their own band in 1980
👍 any Lynyrd Skynyrd works for me. Have an idea for you, if you care to check out . Stringy the guitar, Alvino Ray and the St Louis Blues. It is an old music video. 1942 It features a talking string puppet with a voice that comes from the first talk box and they steal guitar. It's an excellent clear video. Decades ahead of its time. Considered as important as the electric guitar.
There’s a great video out there for their signature song free Bird it’s alive and I think it’s Oakland California. You should definitely give that one a look and a listen.
I always wish they had had 5 more years and 3 more albums. They were peaking right at the time of the crash and I just know they would've been 100 times more legendary than they are.
Ain't no good life, Honky tonk night time man, I Know a little. All three I know you would love by Skynyrd. And you still haven't done Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes, Stone Cold
Phenomenal band, missed by many!! ❤️
Songs they haven't done:
I Know a Little
Coming Home
Don't Ask Me No Questions
Workin For MCA
Needle and the Spoon
I Need You
@@jayjordan7104 ON THE HUNT
Saturday Night Special
I love them so much, and I appreciate your appreciation for this band. Great reaction. Yeah, Billy Powell on keys. He was epic.
“T for Texas” from their live album “One more from the road” is a top notch three guitar attack!
That is the truth!
Whole album is fantastic. Skynyrd is one of those rare bands that I prefer most of their live versions to studio cuts.
Asia & BJ, you’ll love their "Gimme Three Steps" and "What's Your Name?"!!
They need a little Blackberry Smoke singing Looks like a good one coming on 👍.
You can't go wrong with SKYNYRD
Another gem. This song always makes me want to get up and dance.

Uh huh
Idk if you've ever heard "I need you" by Skynyrd, but that's an amazing one too! "Ballad of Curtis Lowe" is also one of my favorites from them
" Working For MCA "
" Double Trouble "
" You Got That Right "
🤘✌💞
You can't go wrong with the smooth southern rock style of LS.
They Need a little Blackberry Smoke singing Looks like a good one coming on.🌄🐴☕
There ain't one song by them that ain't bad, the ballad of Curtis Lowe along with four walls if rayford are awesome songs too
Love watching your reactions to the classics. Just wish you had more volume. We like to rattle the windows.
Noted!
Another great song about the Honky Tonk bar scene where they earned their stripes
Best of the rest
The pianist Billy Powell, was a concert pianist, they dent know it, he was a booker/ manager, they went 2 git lunch came back, he was doing piano 4/ Freebird, and th rest is histry
Pure Authentic self taught great mucians they're music is timeless
The songs that don’t get played on heavy rotation by them are deserving of a listen too. Just check out their double live album. One More From the Road.
One of the best live albums EVER made by any band!! 🔥🔥🔥
@@vickieray that and J. Geils’s Blow Your Face Out are two of my favs.

Sup Asia & BJ? Hope you're having a great weekend!! Thanks for all the great reactions! ✌️ ☮️ 🎼🎵🎸❤️🇱🇷🎶
Thank you
@@AsiaandBJ You are quite welcome! :)
Check out "Workin' for MCA" live at Knebworth. Pure banger goodness!
That entire Knebworth show is Phenomenal 🔥🔥
Please, please, please do "Comin' Home". It's one of their greatest songs but for reason it tends to get over-looked because it's not "powerful".
Also check out “One More Time” ❤
Big agree. And that’s crazy because I always thought the outro solo had such a big, powerful sound. One of my faves.
The hell its not!
This song is regular rotation when I listen to music

You two are AWESOME! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC OF THE BEST SOUTHERN ROCK BAND IN AMERICAN HISTORY!
Oh how I LOVE Ronnie's voice!
I think BJ would enjoy "On the Hunt" and Asia would enjoy "Call Me The Breeze" from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Love your reactions!

Everyone has listen to S8mple Man, for good reason. Try their song Comin Home....excellent
They Need a little Blackberry Smoke singing Looks like a good one coming on 👍🏁
Boogie band! Southern Rock and blues all day!
Ronnie Van Zant was a grown man his whole life, which is why when he fell out of the sky into that Mississippi swamp, he became larger than life.
Outstanding. .. Give me that down home country ass dirt road Southern freaking Rock and Roll ... lol Great Job
need to check out I Need you from the second helping album
👍 any Lynyrd Skynyrd works for me.

I can relate to this song! Whisky, women and miles of traveling is all I understand...
A treat indeed!!!
Just fyi, the surviving members kept the band together with Ronnie Van Zant’s younger brother Johnny. They released albums and has tour a lot.

There’s a great video out there for their signature song free Bird it’s alive and I think it’s Oakland California. You should definitely give that one a look and a listen.
Already been taking it or leave it when it comes to standard. Like them but only in small doses. 👍🏻
T for Texas from one more for the road live album is worth a reaction!!!!
I always wish they had had 5 more years and 3 more albums. They were peaking right at the time of the crash and I just know they would've been 100 times more legendary than they are.
Yall gotta check out Mr. Banker. Swamp music is cool too. Also 4 Walls of Raiford.
If you haven't heard the song listen to a tip from you to me by Jack White
Gotta do "Don't ask me no questions"
I don't care for fancy music if your shoes can't shuffle around. Women, whiskey, miles of travelling, that's all I understand. Straight up.
Another cool drinking song to check out would be "Have a Drink On Me" by AC/DC.
Asia & BJ welcome to Skynyrd Nation love watching you getting into Skynyrd keep Rock

Fun fact when Ronnie was on stage he liked to be bare foot so he could feel the beats too.
