I just got the biggest crapshoot of a win ever. 400 damage to the heart from a lucky turn 2 hologram +letter opener infinite, pretty much all of my draw came from a heatsinks + a doubled magnetism from a potion, and I still had to block up until 8x15 and finished with 3 hp Inspired by Baalor saying yesterday that a run is not over until it's over
Beamcell is actually the worst card in Defect in act 1 not effective on orbs + bad with strikes alone .. because both Dual cast and Channel lightning require a Upgrade to be powerful! Defect actually requires very little investment to beat act 1 its 2x upgrades and 1x Good defense card... Boss swap makes things weird by having to remove dual cast unless you Highroll a random Biased Cognition..
@@AyVaZzZ4o0 I don't disagree; my comment was in reference to how many times Beam Cell popped up in the card rewards, not how much I thought the deck needed it
Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards in the thumbnail (Defragment x2 and Capacitor x3): [Updated for the new thumbnail. Original thumbnail was Loops.] Defragment #1: (17:49) (Floor 14 Elite) (None of the remaining cards appear to be added to the base deck, instead probably being created with Creative AI.) Original comment about the Loops: ...from my skimming, it looks like he doesn't, actually. He does pick up a Creative AI, though (and that's as much as I'll spoil about cards not in the thumbnail).
It wasn't awful because we could get a key instead. But many other relics would have been more immediately impactful and that's what's most important early on. Getting like a boat relic or fossilized helix or bag of prep would definitely have been better.
@@shanecommins7968 I think what they mean is that they got a guaranteed dead relic early on in the chest when the goal is to beat the heart, meaning that it was relatively painless to get the blue key. You have to give up one of the chest relics anyways so having one that's guaranteed worthless to trade for the key so early on is at least not the most inconvenient thing to deal with
@@shanecommins7968I don't think it's "yay I got a blue key in act 1" it's "yay I don't have to give up a potential good relic for blue key later." And even if it is the former, why is that take so horrendous? If you know you're going for the heart and you see a chest relic you don't want/need in act 1 why not take the key?
damn managed to hold the quick reflex to insta click white beast statue LOL
Baalor: Am I forgetting something important?
Meanwhile beam cell still at school waiting in the rain.

That beam cell REALLY wanted to be invited into your deck in Act 1

Leap+ Enthusiasts Club Meeting here
I love Leap and Leap+. It's a better defend, or two defends for one! I just think they're neat.
leap+ = BOGO defend
@@LordTreyHowdy even more value in the heart fight bc of beat of death only proccing once instead of twice!
Woohoo, 9 in a row on Defect is a truly remarkable achievement. Congrats!
Both as someone whose worst character is Defect and because of your wonderful content, it's always a joy to see your Defect runs.
Got my first defect heart kill this week. Had like 7 loops, a darkness orb and a recursion my favourite combo

Esoteric is pronounced with short e sound.
Defect is my favorite and you play him masterfully
Perferct timing for lunch once again Baarlord!
Congrats on the PB!
20:10 - See, an Echo Form is an Echo Form, but Seek can be anything. It can even be an Echo Form!
Man, Act 1 really wanted you to have Beam Cell!
57:38 Welcome to Buffer Town! Population: your face
After 500 hours I finally beat a20. Your tips are the ones that clicked the most.
I think that was a funny busted crown angle at the start of act 3 :D, would have been fun
Hi , vietnamese fan here
The White Beast Statue in the treasure chest was actually incredibly lucky, it was probably the best case scenario for a Sozu run.

What game you playing my guy?

@@roshivvymegido9178 I know that. "Yay I get to take blue key in Act 1" is a truly, truly horrible take, hence my comment.

What would this deck have done against awakened one? Just outscale with defrag/frost orbs/lighting damage?
Loop is probably my favorite card on defect. It’s just SO DENSE.
What is the origin of creative AI being called Albert?
Albert Einstein reference?
