- After failing the first attempt, I decided to give the steel soul bingo with viewer goals another shot. Every objective I didn't complete last time is still on the board, and the ones I did finish have been replaced with all new ones.

During my first playthrough ever i couldn't beat Hornet 1(yeah, i'm pretty bad) so i grinded 1800 geo on mossy knights because i couldn't do anything else. After i got the dreamshield i managed to finally beat Hornet.
i tried to do the same with false knight
i was good enough to do both, but when i got to city i couldn't find the soul sanctum, and so i grinded on the vertical shaft in crossroads for like five hours during online school. i still don't understand why i picked that room of all places, but i can tell you that every time you go through it and kill all the bugs you get 24 geo.
How did the Dreamshield help…
@@thecyberrabbit1440 no clue, but without it I died lots of times. With it I beat her in 4-5 attempts. I guess the ability to "passively" deal damage while you dodge helps.
Finally someone else who had problems with hornet 1 , my strategy was leave game and become better as time passes (worked , only took 6 months of 5gb wasted on my switch)

Its funny how during my first playthrough my favorite charms were dreamshield, grimmchild and thorns of agony( also mantis pride) and only after watching some videos I realized how wrong I was
That's something that I really love about the game; most charms can be used effectively, regardless of what the meta is. Like I used to think that, of all things, GLOWING WOMB was strong!

ive heard of many peoples distaste for baldur shell but as someone who is so shit at avoiding sometimes its saved my life lmao

It’s funny because in my first (and only tbh) play through I actually grinded for the lantern and got it before anything else ahaha. I just went completely blind and I didn’t know there was a boss and I didn’t find the boss room for a couple hours (I don’t know how)

W/ regards to the Dream Nail path being intended, I actually got Nail right after Clock before claw on my first playthrough lol. I thought I missed so much stuff but no love how the game is set up so you can go wherever

For a long time in my first play through, my go-to charm build was defender’s crest, dream shield, sprintmaster, and sometimes weaversong. I made so many bosses harder than they needed to be. I also beat NKG for the first time using the summoner build with weaversong and glowing womb

Here I'll fix it
The grinding for geo for lantern at the beginning reminded me... I recommended this game to my uncle and he didn't realize he could cut vines down in GP to progress. So he grinded for geo and bought out all shops and got dream nail. Smh.
Edit: I also agree that Dream Shield should give you a notch. I won't even use it when it's free in Rando runs. I tried to before because it's literally FREE, but it sucks too much. I know it's tiny extra damage, but my main gripe is that it does that damage to weak enemies when I'm exploring and trying to pogo off of, but then they die. Or I miscount how many pogos I can do on an enemy because of the extra damage and then fall into damage.
The great thing about these videos besides them being entertaining is that you also learn a lot of weird tricks and skips.

In my first playthrough of this game, I looooved Dreamshield. It blocks projectiles! It saved me many times in Kingdom's Edge.

New Goal: Defeat every Dream Warrior hitless
I'm mad. So I was playing terraria, and I wanted to make serious attempts of Empress of Light day time version (Kills you in 1 hit, one of the hardest bosses in the game). I actually have endgame gear so I thought I could just keep shooting at her for like a minute and dodge her attacks. "It'll be fine." I said. It wasn't fine. To even spawn the boss you need to find a rare butterfly in the hallow biome when its between 7.30 pm and 12.00 pm. To spawn the boss you have the kill the butterfly in the hallow biome. first time, I get a single butterfly. I fail miserably. Second time, I put a water candle to make it spawn creatures more often. I catch 3 butterflies. I fail miserably each time. Third time, I decide to make my arena bigger. I make it enormous so that it'll make dodging easier (I had a very small arena before). I wait for it become night time. That takes time by the way, especially if you're impatient like me. I catch 3 butterlies again. Which is unlucky by the way. Should've been able to get like 6 but I was really unlucky and got only 3 each time. I head to my arena, buff up, release one of the butterflie- It dissappeared. Huh. Weird. I release another one. It dissappears *again* . Turns out my arena was too large that some of it wasn't in the hallow biome anymore and you have to be in the hallow biome to spawn the boss. I go to the left of the arena which is in the hallow biome. I spawn the boss. This is my last butterfly for the day. *I die to the first f***ing attack.* *Time to wait for a whole day to pass a g a i n* . Fourth time, *I get a single butterfly.* I spawn the boss. *I die to the first attack a g a i n.* Kinda angry at myself, I decide to play something else. I decide to play bedwars. Which is not a game you should play if you're mad by the way. I go 3v3v3v3. I lose my bed, But I have emeralds. This is going to be an easy clutch for me. I pot up, rush their base *and fall of the map by myself.* I was already frustrated by the whole terraira thing before this, Now I was properly mad. this is going to be a perfect video to calm me :) thanks for uploading at the perfect time :)
5:57 i didn't understand how to pogo the bouncy shrooms that lead to Mantis village on my first playthrough, so i got lantern and, after successfully navigating the crystal-hunter-ridden-hellscape that is the room that leads to Resting grounds, i got Dreamnail.
funny thing i learned: Xero's platform in a bit too high to simply jump on, so the only way to fight him is to go back to Peak, do the whole thing again and drop into Resting grounds, and fight him without falling from the platform. the devs were merciful enough not to close down the doors of the room though, unlike every other dream fight, so at least it's not a softlock.

That is most definitely not what it is about but it is a cool and challenging game that Skurry might like and I think viewers would really like to watch as well. I've definitely watched multiple people's streams or lets play of it and below zero.

Fun fact about getting to city of tears, you can make it to there without killing false knight by going through deepnest after dropping in it from fungal wastes, or beating the mantis lords. I did this on my first ever run when playing Hollow Knight, and I personally don’t recommend it, but if you (somehow) can’t beat false knight, it’s a good alternative.
