I like that every act has essentially 2 “bonus elites” in event rooms: *Act I has the three mushrooms and the dead adventurer *Act II has the masked gang and colosseum *And Act III has double orbwalkers and mind bloom
Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards and relic in the thumbnail (Grand Finale, Prostrate, and Prismatic Shard): Prismatic Shard: (1:02:13) (Floor 39 Shop) Prostrate: (1:06:33) (Floor 41 Combat) Grand Finale: (1:25:33) (Floor 48 Elite) What a colorful Defect run! (Power outage last night led to no internet this morning, so I'm a few hours later than intended. Sorry about that!)
I love learning small details about how StS works from your videos, til how lice roll their damage values at the beginning of the combat and use that value throughout the combat. Good to know for target prioritization.
I want to point out that though Grand Finale was hilarious, on the same pick Baalor could've picked up Flex to go with All for One and Pellets. Boosting strength to an absurd level while still being able to Unceasing Top (although you can clear the debuffs twice)
Baalor, please take my bow. I've been an A20 player for years but I can't even fathom to come close to your level. You're amazing, like the difference between you and me is like the difference between a firefly and the Sun.
Great content as always! Thanks for showing off such a neat run. I do have some questions, though. With all the energy between Turbo, Ice Cream, and Double Energy, why go for Prostrate instead of Tempest? Was it just because of the All For One synergy? Seems like with Seek, it would be easier to set up a 25 lightning orb attack, and it wouldn't break anything else that this deck was going for, right? It would work especially well on Shield and Spear/Repto when combined with Electrodynamics. On a related note, why would you ever not play Turbo with Ice Cream? Seems like you benefit with no real tradeoff unless my math is mistaken.
This is like the necronomicon run; you couldn't plan to go for this if you intended to, but this deck is _made_ by an act 1 hexaghost pseudo solve. Actually crazy man.
Hi Baalor and community! Relatively new fan right here, I don't know if it is common knowledge and I know it is not Spire-related but I'm really curious how you manage to play standing (I've been considering doing it myself as an alternative for work but always thought it was stupid and crazy, because in my country nobody does it). Do you play in some kind of special setup or just standing? Btw, amazing content man! Super insightful, fun and relaxing to watch. Sorry for my non-native English
The usual thing for gaming (or working for that matter) while standing is mostly just a standing desk. There are just straight up desks with a static height for standing, as well as height adjustable desks via either handcrank or motors. Both are good for such setups one is more flexible but also more expensive.
I would play games stacking my laptop/tv on books while controller in hand. Sometimes a mouse on the side of my leg which I don't recommend for your wrist lol. go for an adjustable desk bc standing in one spot for hours isn't healthy. very doable tho
"The more you try to hone in on a single metric as the end all be all the more you distort everything around it creating a warped reality." Words of wisdom. Multivariate analysis is nothing but beneficial up to the horizon of context becoming irrelevant when the relation is too thin. But that means there's ALOT of space between single variate analysis and context diffused to irrelevance. Now think of how the establishment media operates on a shallow people.

Sees thumbnail, sees defect
THIS IS GONNA BE A FUN ONE
we love charles lightning
basically my reaction, sees thumbnail, oh either watcher or silent
play video: sees defect, WHAT
My favourite thumbnails are the ones where your expectations completely subverted when you see the character.
Did you hear about my Mexican uncle who finally had to go the doctor? He was suffering from his-panic attacks
This is the exactly style of joke baalorlord makes but the subject matter might be a no-no for stream 💀
Slightly racist joke but i enjoyed it.
@antagonisstic a joke that mentions race doesn't make it racist.
@@CorpseMarine That is why i said slightly bro.
@@CorpseMarineIt does depending on who says it. Otherwise it is racial bigotry. I encourage you to learn more about racism compared to racial bigotry.
Pyramid + Ice cream is a strange combo; when ending your turn doesn't waste any resources, it becomes just another thing you do between playing cards
Its actually even more. This deck broke all sts mechanics: retain cards, energy and with callipers - block to some extent.
and with calipers too, we basically preserved our entire state between turns it was so fun to watch.
Getting the "Defect cards ranked" popup in the upper left when he just added shockwave to the deck is peak comedy.

That act 1 RNG was insane
"Rebound meteor strike. You heard me."
*chuckles*
*It's small real estate*

58:52 You accurately describe the typical blue player in mtg.
"Until we want to" exactly made me think of that :D we basically played the game at instant speed from that point onward

This might be one of my favorite decks I’ve seen you put together
What a beautiful run! Definitely one of the memorable ones.

AOE? You mean playing meteor strike 3 times in one turn
1:14:24 how does twitch chat manage to summon cards like this hahahahaah
Given the fight against the automaton, that heart fight was wacky.
Ok that was silly, even by your standards.
I can't win a single game with prismatic shard on a20, but man is it fun
I'm 17 minutes in and I can't believe that this run is almost 2 hours long with this start.
(Edit) OMFG WHAT WAS THAT DECK DUDE?!
I legit forgot tiny house was a boss relic and got confused
Once again, I have been baited by Grand Finale.
Can you tell when the Silent runs start again?
Ive finished the Silent Playlist already multiple times and wonder when something new comes out.
Baalor is currently doing watcher streak attempts on twitch, which will show up on this channel soon. After that, he plans to go back to rotating.
@@Baalorlord Thanks for the Info and thanks for the new Silent video that just dropped.
1:00:20 I wasn't paying close attention and thought he just gave up the blue key
Maybe the coolest deck I've ever seen

Hi there! Baalor doesn't read youtube comments himself, but you can stop by at www.twitch.tv/baalorlord to ask him - he's live right now!

That wheel wrongs me all the time.
It would be nice to see current win streak and best win streak?
best transient kill ever
This run was awesome, but I was really hoping for a Divinity + Grand Finale finisher on the heart.

Defect has two states of playing when winning a run. How is this working and what is actually going on. This is the latter
Turns? What turns?
ridiculous... fantastic
Does this mean that tiny house is op?
