Great video! I loved to watch you do this job, the result looks fantastic! It made me realize how much more complex the XJS is compared to my XK8. I remember having read that the XK8 is made of much less parts than the XJS - now I understand why 😉I managed to find a complete new old stock veneer set for my XK8 and can't wait to fit it to the car next spring - perfect glossy wood is just the icing on the Jaguar-cake 😍 ...and no, you're not just picky! These parts have to line up perfectly, there is no other way! 👍 All the best for 2025 and for all the work you will do on you beautiful Jaaaag 😻
Yea there's a lot of parts involved, I guess by the XK8 designers had simplified a little, though if that simplification includes more push fit stuff I'd be worried ha I hate prising off fragile parts! That said I wish that stupid computer was push fit haha. Always loved the XK8 too, maybe one day! Thanks for watching 😊
Very nice. New subscriber here, as I am a potential Jag XJ12 owner. Provided that the car I am considering is anywhere near the condition I hope it is. Merry Christmas from Norway! 🎅
Hello, first all the best for 2025 ! The 2 videos about veneers are very interesting. I have recently bought a 1996 convertible XJS Celebration and have to put some attention to the veneers that suffered a little. Could you provide us an idea about the cost to reveneer a full set like you did ? Thanks
It's amazing how new veneers transform an interior. Enjoy seeing the love for the XJS.
Yes definitely! Will have to get the front seats restored to new at some point too then the interior will be perfect on this car
Fantastic. So much detail. Thank you.
