Thanks nick for bringing me back to middle school with the fear no evil and rock you to hell riffs...you sir are one of the influences for me to play guitar 🤘🏻🤘🏻

This guy is like the BFG or something. He’s just like the most “Oh don’t mind me lad, I’ll just let you know when the trolly arrives! :)” that I never expected to encounter in real life.
For those that don't know (and it seems like there are a lot in the comments), Diezel, Friedman, Soldano and a few other companies are distributed by a company called Boutique Amp Distribution (BAD). They also all have "amp in a box" type pedals meant to mimic some of their famous tube amps. These mini amps are just those pedals in a box with a solid state power amp. These amps look neat but are a gimmick. If you purchase the pedals and a SS pedalboard amp it will sound EXACTLY the same and cost less.
@@SocksworthRiffs Yes, the VH4 is a little more expensive than the others, but it's close. You can get a Mooer Baby Bomb 30 watt power amp for $99, so about $350 total vs $329 for this thing. Of course, if you want several of the "mini amps", you can get one power amp and multiple pedals and it's a lot cheaper.
@@mechmat12345 I know its just barely less expensive but we're also talking aesthetics and packaging here. Sure you could run a bunch of these pedal preamps and the power amp, but you're going to account for other real estate on the pedalboard (and have it specifically set up for that) and also extra cables/power etc. Of course these are somewhat of a novelty, but the most important thing is that these all sound really good and can ACTUALLY be used to make music and practice with. The closest we get to something amp-like and diezel is nearly 1k (Synergy module) and after that, about 3k for a VH-2. I'm just tired of seeing the "THIS IS STUPID AND WAY OVERPRICED" comments. it's priced really well in relation to the alternative.
@@SocksworthRiffs Pedalboard real estate is irrelevant with these, they are not useful in live scenarios. And I'm tired of reading people prop these up as something that they aren't, so stop with the self-righteous BS. Lots of people don't understand what these are, as evidenced by the comments on this video. And no, it's not priced well in relation to the alternative, as the alternative is a pedal and cheap power amp which has more uses and flexibility than these. Once you add in the added cost of a cabinet, you're in spitting distance of just buying something like a Boss Katana combo and this VH4 pedal, which is exponentially more flexible and loud enough to use in a band situation, unlike these.
Nick, you did it again!!! Amazing stuff!!! Loved it!!! Loved the tones you got out of that thing. They sounded a little like back in the old Grim Reaper days!! lol. Nice!!!
