No issues with calling out players when they aren’t trying. Fair enough if they’re but playing poorly that happens, but the least you can do is run around and make yourself a nuisance for the other team!
I’m sick of hearing Ange does not trust the young players. Spence can easily spell Porro, Lankshere is a solid big guy striker. Ange is doubling down on the problems. In the same context, how can you trust Sarr and Bissouma in the penalty area again?
1 game against countless when Pape has not made mistakes. If he can't be trusted in a penalty box none of us in life can be trusted in the eyes of people we know lol
Anges press conference today was very much like Conte before the end. What annoys me is Bissouma hitting the gas just dropped for 1 game. Poor performances from a lot of players all season. You have the poor discipline from Bissouma and Sarr against Chelsea which costs us the game. You have Romero saying what he wants publicly. So Ange calls out Werner publicly a player that isn't in the first team and on loan for the 2nd time that hasn't been used much. It seems like Ange doesn't have much control over the players at all. Werner is the least of our problem because can always send him back. Yang will be in the squad in january. Its the players that have been here for years that haven't been good enough. Ange also made a big mistake by playing Romero and Van der ven last weekend because now they are out during some really important games. Rushing players back tend to bite you on the arse. Its a must win game against Southampton. Bottom of the league only 5 points. Anything other than a win is unacceptable. Ange better start winning games because this could be a very long hard season to watch because most of the football has been dreadful. I would like to say to Forster has done a great job in goal.
Ange appears to be a hypocrite. He advised Romero against publicly criticizing the board for not supporting the manager. However, Ange himself is now publicly criticizing Werner. 🤔
I’ve followed Ange since his debut at south Melbourne and I can’t remember of the top of my head Ange ever calling out a player. I may be wrong but I just can’t think of one .
Sometimes if you have been trying many different ways to get your point across and it still has not gotten across you gotta change your methods you know?
at Brisbane Roar he was furious at the whole team after the game he was interviewed on the sideline and he said the team played like cowards and where gutless this was when they Roar where down to Perth 1 -3 and last 15min came back 3 -3. But when they equalised they sat back started kicking long balls and wasting time. Never have seen Ange that angry before. article after the game. To most Hyundai A-League coaches, coming from two goals down to secure a 3-3 draw with Perth at nib Stadium - one of the world's longest road trips - would be cause for celebration. But for Postecoglou, it wasn't the result that mattered, it was the performance, and that was poor enough for him to label it everything from "unacceptable" to "cowardly" in a remarkable, no-holds barred press conference that was brutally honest. But if his words weren't enough, his body language five minutes later was telling. As some of his players sat pensively on the team bus, Postecoglou was there sitting right by the entrance. The coach almost appeared in pain as he curled in on himself, busily writing notes, but close enough at hand to still eyeball his players and possibly ask the hard questions as they entered the vehicle. "Perth Glory got robbed," declared Postecoglou at the start of his conference, although this was just an appetiser for what was to come. "They deserved to win the game. We were very, very ordinary and it would have been an injustice if we got anything more than a point out of it." "Today, that was about 20 steps back from where we've been." "It's unacceptable, it's not good enough. I'm not interested in getting cheap points or cheap victories playing like that." "That's not what we're about and for a good 18 months we've been about something different." "Even when we were losing games, we were still playing our football ... but [here] there was just nothing." Postecoglou said he didn't understand why the players didn't play to their systems and went as far as to question whether they had the courage to play that way anymore. "We failed on every sort of measure we have as a football club," declared Postecoglou. "It's the most disappointing (performance), I think for 18 months. We haven't played that way for a very long time." "We just didn't stick to any of our principles or beliefs," he added. "The human qualities of competitive sport were missing. The desperation, the desire to win, a bit of bravery, a bit of courage." "Courage comes in many forms but in our game, and particularly in the way we play, courage means wanting the ball in tricky situations and we were extremely cowardly in the way we approached the game." "It's a funny league the A-League; we're sitting in second spot (but) it just doesn't feel right to me, playing like that." "I'm not interested in that sort of performance along the way. I want us to be better than that." "I'd rather finish seventh and understanding we're developing a certain style of game than sit where we are." "I don't want the players to get away with that, I don't want us to get away with that, I don't want myself to get away with it." "I don't want to say, 'oh yeah, we got a point away from home, we're sitting in second spot, things are travelling well', when I know deep inside me I can't live with that sort of performance from our football club."
Thoughts on the game on Sunday? Let me know below!

Ange can call out players but if any of us criticize him we are unfaithful :(
