Just fitted a screen without any assistance. I undid the bottom bolts a good way and removed the top bolts completely. I rested the handlebars on cloths placed on the tank. Having put the screen together I pre-tightened all then bolts so they just nipped up (not correct torque) I found I could manipulate the screen with one hand while the handlebars were held and manipulated with the other. Once the first (top) bolt went in, the other was easy. All I did then was adjust the screen to where I wanted it and tightened all the bolts up. Yay. looks great and I can't wait to ride it and test it out
Thanks for the tutorial. Easy peasy. Ruling is out yet as to it's effectiveness. Like the way it looks. Wish it were a bit larger though. Both taller and wider.

Thanks, good and clear instructions. One thing: you are not using a torque wrench at 3nm to fix the small bolts (no 9) in the Lower Mounts (no. 2, black plastic), you use an ordinary allen key. I did so, too, and as a result the two Lower Mounts broke/split. Can't use them anymore and am desperately looking for two spare Lower Mounts. You tightened them hard, so why did they not split/break? Have you a good advice? Thanks. Your bike looks great with the screen :-)
Wow, mine went on ok, didn't seem that delicate.... I always tighten by feel, so not go full on, just feel them get tight... there's a word for that... can't remember what that is.... sorry to hear yours broke, hope you find some new ones soon!
Unfortunately mine too broke/ split on one side,heard that cracking sound and tightened another cautiously. But then i unscrew both , put some instant glue in that crack , waited for few secs and inserted washer in between the gap. This time I gently tightened the lower mount. Crack on one side is still there but with adhesive it did not grew further and kinda fixed the windshield. But mine is bit movable with some push back and forth though the play is not much I guess I haven’t tightened lower mount enough but i am also sceptical if i did so it might crack the other lower mount too..
Looking at a RE Classic 350, a new leftover '22 - long story short, the dealer recently installed a windscreen on the model I want (not advertised, and increased the cost by $240...). Said I didn't want it, but he won't remove it now. Said it was too much labor / was too involved. This doesn't look very difficult. Should I walk?
I like it and I want one but my dealer says they don't make one for the Classic, only the Meteor. Can you provide a link to purchase the Classic windscreen and a part number?

If you are in the US, the D.O.T. has not approved it for US usage, so it will not be available. Order it from Hitchcock's motorcycles in the UK. It took 3 days to arrive in Florida and looks correct on the Desert Signals version.
Outrageous! Only joking, it is definitely a personal taste item... I quite like it... wasn't sure when I bought it... but it kind of suits the Signals vibe...
Is the screen actually necessary? The max we can cruise on this bike is 80-90kmph, which isn't high speed with lots of wind blast. That said, i tried wearing earplugs for the first time, and it had cut almost all of the wind blast, so there's that

Just one suggestion, wrap a plastic coating so it wont get scrach in long run. Like we put screen guard on mobile

What are the torque specs on those handle bar bolts? RE don’t seem concerned about forge specs but I’m hoping they provide them with the kit.
The instructions say '...torque the handlebar clamp bolts to 12Nm'...
