Hi Zimpaz, I'm struggling to get internet connection and wondered if you can help? I'm with sky broadband superfast and also have an openreach mk4 master socket (one port for phone line and one port for internet). I just can't work out how to set my router up while maintaining the internet service from Sky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could I ask if you had any issues with the 5Ghz wifi network dropping connections? I have the vr600 v2 and after a few days all my devices had been dropped off the 5Ghz band and I couldn't reconnect them until the router was rebooted. I could see the network but couldn't connect to it. 2.4Ghz worked fine. I read it is a known issue and many people are affected. I found a BETA firmware for the EU version here: forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/9rqw1rp3?p=49 and already flashed it, but at the moment I'm using my bt hub6 because engineers just brought my connection back from "death"... so I need a stable connection for couple of days to stabilize.

I've only come across these types of things recently. I have no clue what these are meant to do. I live in the countryside meaning that WiFi is shit, I do a lot of work needing WiFi. If I connect this thing to a laptop or something will it make the Internet faster for it?
It won’t make your internet connection any faster but might make the WiFi reach further if that’s what you mean?
Can it be used as a modem only?

Hello , are the lights always light even before you made the configuration because when I connect the power the lights opens like normaly , but my old router the lights on after I make the configuration, thanks waiting for your reply
The lights stay on unless you configure them off in settings. Is that what you mean?
@@Zimpaz I mean if the Internet is not working , why the Internet light is on , is that mean the router has problem

Can you help me with something? So I am getting a router like yours but I need it for my office thats up stairs but my sky fibre router is down stairs. Can I connect them together some how? If so could you tell me how. I just cant understand what the guides are on about when I google it and it exains
What is the purpose of this? This device would normally replace your sky router. To use it as a WiFi access point?

There is a hotspot setting in the menus. I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to help you in comments if the guides are too complicated for you. Are there video guides?

No this router is for vdsl and adsl. You could use it for the network and wifi side of things if you have a stand alone cable modem?

How can I do if it's hard to connect to "192.168.1.1"?
Just set up the Ac1600. Warning the 5G on high output makes your head feel strange both myself and my wife felt ill so we turned off the 5G option. the 2.4 is fine . Anyone else notice there head feeling groggy ? great router but i am not using the 5G wireless again.

Does this work with standard broadband?
Does the ISP list have now tv.
If it doesn’t I imagine sky will work. If that doesn’t work you can manually input your settings
@@Zimpaz you do realize ISP's don't like giving them details so they can force you to use their garbage routers so they have remote access to it ..
