I found out I'm the opposite of a watch collector. I never wanted a whole collection, but I was interested in buying just one watch I can wear everyday, all the time. I do mean, all the time because I sleep and shower with the watch on. I've always worn a quartz watch so I got curious about mechanical watches. I was looking around at the different styles and complications and I thought I was going to spend $12k on a rolex, or at the least $4k on a Tudor. But after I found out that even with the accuracy of Rolex at +/-2 seconds a day, I would have to reset the watch once every two weeks at least. Having always worn a quartz I never knew accuracy was a problem on the watch except once every two years I had to replace the battery, and even that was something I found to be a waste of time and inconvenient. It was then that I came across a Solar watch that could charge itself daily, and GPS to automatically set the date and time itself so it can always be accurate. I no longer want a mechanical watch and in fact plan to buy this quartz because a watch for me is an important tool, but first and foremost it is functional and convenient to give me time, not take away from it. So, today I found that I am the opposite of a watch collector.
Hey that's great I can't imagine wearing a watch to sleep and shower I don't think I could do it. I have had a few atomic clock g-shocks that I'm sure would be perfect for you
That one type that I might never get. The closest thing I had was an Orient Bambino back in the day but I just feel like for my taste I prefer bracelets or rubber straps. Maybe it's because I dress very casual and wear slippers all the time. Thanks for watching
New sub. Great collection.. recently purchased the Tudor burgundy on jubilee its a keeper in my collection marking rhe birth of a baby boy 3 weeks ago. It will be his one day❤
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MaMaCoo brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
I bought a Rolex Daytona a few years ago from an AD and have enjoyed it immensely. However, I'm now considering selling it, hoping to make a good profit from it. Forget the grey market hype, as a collector I'm focusing on the value this investment can bring.
Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector myself, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $42million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $42m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs, including IITU and IUCM.
Scratched my Explorer real quick too. I believe its a more scratch prone mix of metals so that it has more lustre 🤷♂ It's a daily now and I look forward to living long enough to have it polished out when serviced in 9.5 years haha.
Thanks I actually make them myself I am planning on using them for some membership options but email me at my address in the description and I’ll try and get some to you since you were the first to notice them!
beautiful collection. There are a lot of turn around in the collection. Do you take a loss when selling the pieces? How do you sell to take the minimum loss? Thanks
Great collection! I’ve been eyeing almost those exact watches for awhile 🤩😂 Enjoy and thanks for sharing! 🥳 Some recommendations would be to check out Tag Heuer Monaco Blue on bracelet, Doxa Sub 300t, Seiko SLAs, Brew Watches, and of course some Grand Seikos
I had the SNR029 for a while and thought it was an amazing watch but the bracelet was lacking and even though it was quite big being titanium it wore very well. I'm still waiting for them to update this line then maybe I'll pick another one up!
Yesterday/Tomorrow date windows are very odd IMO. Not least because it will show dates in several months that do not even exist. Nothing wrong with 'quirky' though ; ) Great seeing your collection. Was the Speedmaster repaired or replaced?
Beautiful collection but don’t sell the explorer II especially the polar, which is a beautiful watch, very masculine and different in the Rolex catalog on the other hand the explorer l is a boring watch in my opinion unless it has a sentimental value
I swear every other SOTC on UA-cam is like Deja Vue. Watches are now a symbol of what tribe ppl belong too rather than who they are as an individual. Most belong to the same tribe as well.
If you ever want to sell the BLNR let me know! Its my dream watch! I live out in Haleiwa and don't have any friends into watches lol. Great collection!!! If you ever want to chat about watches give me a shout! Aloha my braddah!

I think the Seiko Astron is the right 1 watch do-it-all for you
Lol psycho. You don’t need to know the time at all times of the day.
The Citizen is a good choice
This Bell and Ross watch is amazing!
Thanks it's one of my favorites!
A very solid collection and great story telling. Congratulations on having this awesome collection !
Thanks for watching I really enjoy your videos as well!
Totally agree on BLNR. Once I got mine it was a game changer - wears so nice and comfortable and is visually stunning!
Exactly it's an amazing watch!
I have the same Monta and it doesn't look out of place next to my Rolexes, Tudors, Omegas and Seiko SLA's
They do make some amazing watches that go perfect in any collection!
Amazing collection. Hopefully a dress watch soon

Fantastic collection my friend, keep up the great work 👏
Thank you kindly

Aloha, brother. Do you have any recs for places on Oahu that sell vintage watches or Pateks? Thanks in advance 🤙🏽
My coworker just bought a vintage rolex from honolulu time company

Sure it's all about DCA, could you please share her name with me or any details so I can look her up online? Thanks!
That is an amazing collection my friend. Congrats!
Thank you kindly

Yeah I agree the mirror polish is a scratch magnet! lol
Those “For Exhibition Only” patches are so cool! Where did you get them?
Thanks I actually make them myself I am planning on using them for some membership options but email me at my address in the description and I’ll try and get some to you since you were the first to notice them!
beautiful collection. There are a lot of turn around in the collection. Do you take a loss when selling the pieces? How do you sell to take the minimum loss? Thanks
I lose most of the time but hey that’s part of being a watch collector!
Great collection!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing, brada! 🤙🏼
Thanks for watching

Thanks for the recommendations I would love to review those models!
Very nice collection 🤙
Thanks!
Nice. Get a Grand Seiko or one of the SLA models and tell us what you think. Totally agree about Monta and I like that bell n Ross.
I had the SNR029 for a while and thought it was an amazing watch but the bracelet was lacking and even though it was quite big being titanium it wore very well. I'm still waiting for them to update this line then maybe I'll pick another one up!
Ever since I bought a watch from amzwatch , My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
Amazing collection! When did you add the explorer 2? Is it the 216570 or the 226570
Thanks it is the newer version the 226570
Nice collection you have there.
Thanks so much!
Yesterday/Tomorrow date windows are very odd IMO.

Great seeing your collection.
Was the Speedmaster repaired or replaced?
Thanks! The speedy was replaced it took them about 3 or 4 weeks I believe
Lovely ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks
nice white speedy! how long did it take to get?
It took about a month after release I believe or maybe about 6 weeks
switching out a batman/batgirl for a pepsi is the most insane thing ive heard.
i must be crazy then lol
Beautiful collection but don’t sell the explorer II especially the polar, which is a beautiful watch, very masculine and different in the Rolex catalog on the other hand the explorer l is a boring watch in my opinion unless it has a sentimental value
Thanks for the tip I'm thinking about it!
Very nice bro😊
Thanks 😊
Great collection. Want a BLNR so bad 😩
Thanks I hope you get one soon!
if a rolex SA takes your info for a certain model, does it mean that i am going to get one?
I wish that we the case! But I do believe that they are getting a little easier to get
All dat MaMaCoo watches sssssoooooooo gorgeous!
I swear every other SOTC on UA-cam is like Deja Vue. Watches are now a symbol of what tribe ppl belong too rather than who they are as an individual. Most belong to the same tribe as well.
I buy watches that I like and some are classics for a reason

@@HawaiianHorology Sounds good!
I'll buy the PRX.
Thanks but it's staying in the collection
Did you sell the smp?
Yeah sold it!
You should rename your channel to Hawaiian Hunk Horology
lol
Just saying, if I could get a red Tudor, two toned explorer and speed master I’d be complete
That would be an amazing collection!
Keep the explorer and sell the rest- actually keep the burgundy Tudor
I just might do that!
I have to say that #MaMaCoo 's watches is amazing!
The Tudor, Omega & Rolex are class 🔥
The rest are not.
I can't wait to see your collection!
