I definitely agree with your review of the Jimny. I got my first Jimny in 1980. Replaced it in 1990 and again in 2005. You could call me a fanboy, and I admit loving this little marvel to bits. I used to live on a small Tasmanian Island, so driving long distances was never an issue. My off-roading consisted only with dirt roads and beach travel. I can recommend the Jimny to anyone loving small cars. All three were absolutely reliable, and I had never any problems. I live now in the city, still have my Jimny and would not hesitate to get another Jimny. However, being now 77 years, I would buy an automatic one!
With HT tires my new jimny did 5.8L/100km, with AT tires its 6.3L/100km on inter city paved road. You can do it if you keep the car speed below 90km/H.
Would a compressor be a better option than Turbo, by gradually getting more power at higher revs? What would be the best to have more power but less revs at >60 mph?
i love the car. My biggest hesitation is the 300kg payload. By the time i put myself and my wife in and a tank of petrol there isn't much allowance for mods and luggage.
But you have a point. The doubled gastank ads already 30 kg fuel. Max on the roof I saw specified max 30 kg. Let’s say, you spent allready 5 kg on the rack. In EU there is a version without backseats. That is a gain as most users have them down anyway. But one man 85 kg and wife xx kg and you are getting close to the max. I would like to have this car for me and my two dogs 2x 10 kg. The wife may take a seat at rare occasions ;)
The 3 star safety rating was low because is was bad at pedestrian safety. I would care about what is inside. 73% adults 84% kids 52% pedestrians 50% safety assist Good for me
I swapped to the mud tires by BFG.Know a few things fuel consumption went up, the tires often slip and skid on wet roads ,the vehicle is sluggish on takeoff .If you swap to these types of tires weigh the pros and cons
Nice video! I really like your tyres. I'm thinking of getting some all-terrains that fit with the stock alloy rims. My concern is if it would void warranty at all? I understand bigger tyres would also adjust the speedometer, could I get this adjusted so it is accurate? Thanks for the advice.
@@soheil8317 i paid in ILS so i don't know how much it will tell you. cars are super expensive here because of taxes so it's nothing to go by for the rest of the world
A well balanced review. It kept me interested from start to finish.

Suzuki engineers know what they are doing. If you strengthen the plastic mud guard the panel will take damage upon impact.
If they weren't so goddamn expensive I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Yer, when he said 10.5 - 11 litres per 100 k's, I'm thinking does he sit on 140 k's an hour ffs.
Its 4x4, I can sleep in it and park in the city. Wins on every level

The safety rating is 3 because of it is pedestrian unfriendly... so, use a bull bar ...
Really looking forward to getting my Jimny in NZ,bugger I have to wait till next March, thanks for your point of view.
Have you received it yet?
@@haroon420 morning yep have had the jimny for a month thanks.
Its such a funny vehicle,we are both very happy jimny owners.
Wanna see this thing turbo. SUBSCRIBED.. wish u well in your journeys good sir ✌🏽👍🏽🇦🇺oh and a heat gun might fix those plastic scratches
Thank you
There's no way your jimny is using over 10 lph.
What’s going on guys is how you open ? This is Australia dude , keep it real man

The Old Man Emu suspension kit increases the weight capacity.
Get you’re wife here own car ;)

Really good to know that thks.
I'm still in school and thinking of one-day getting a Jimmy
Thus really helped me Thank you
No worries at all
Chiptune the engine anyhow. Gives you 15HP and better fuel economy. Doesn’t seem mocht but percentile on this car it is some improvement.
I will look into that cheers
Awesome thanks for the review, l’m gonna buy one too 🙂
They won’t let you down great car

In India 5 door Jimny has been launched recently.
Made in India.....? A big gamble
Is Jimny a good car for a beginner?
I did some research and the Jimmy is for more experienced drivers ,but you can get it if you are a beginner though since a car is a car 😂

I am concide- Oh it's banned here for the emissions bullshit... OK Yeah enjoy another great fucking offroader australlia xD fuck

How can you sleep in the back? It’s about a meter from the back of the drivers seat to the boot?

Take off all the extra accessories and save a liter per gallon.

Nice car mate , do you think it would fit a race bicycle in the back with its wheels on seats folded down ? Cheers
Maybe if u put the passager seat all the way forward
@@bullygarage9969 Thankyou i was thinking that too as it seems to go forward quite a bit.
