First episode of To Your Eternity is basically a 22-min movie experience. Highly recommend it even if you drop it after episode 1.
Unironically i think this concept would work much better as a one shot

Ah man To Your Eternity is fantastic. Still one of the best first episodes in anime that I've ever seen. It's a really interesting concept and we're waiting on season 3 now. I'm so excited to see where the series goes from here. The only issue I've had with it is once in a while the pacing can get a little wonky but imo the story makes up for it. Also the narration voice in the trailer is the same actor for Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen!
To your Eternity feels like a poetic anime series that you would expect from something like Studio Ghibli to make if they made a show. It is very emotional and very powerful. One of my favorite elements of the series overall is how as you watch it go from one small arc to another it really feels like the show itself is evolving and learning just like the main character is. From a writer's perspective it is beautifully written and one of my favorite anime out there. I hope you do a reaction series to it! Not many of the reactors I like have done this one and I feel it really deserves it.
It is a much healthier mix of emotional drama, growth and character building compared to a lot of other more mainstream anime but still manages to have a good amount of action and build up just right. The prince-like character in the second opening with purple hair is a fave, the character growth of some of these characters is just outstanding!

As a whole, the rest of the show is also very good, but I'll admit that some arcs are weaker than others.
Very true. SPOILER …maybe ? ….. season 1 the best season 2 weak af but it sets it up for the next season coming up which I think will be much better than season 2. (Caught up manga wise)

At first I Season 2 yeah was a bit wonky and felt off but the character growth and build up of Ban as he went from being very flamboyant and very cliche silly side character to a much more serious adult whom now dreamt of doing what is right for himself and his kingdom instead of being king was just so good to watch. Especially how his ability not only affected how others viewed him growing up but also how it affects Fushi.
That said I've only watched the anime and do not know the Manga so not sure how it is going to go from here.
TYE is one of my favorite manga, and I'm very much looking forward to season 3 whenever that gets here. It does not fall off after where season 2 ends IMO.

I love this anime and it is so heart wrenching like Violet Evergarden, but more supernatural. I recommend you put it on your reaction list.
The first half of season 1 made me cry like a baby lol, and the first and last episodes of season 1 are incredibly beautiful 🥹🥹
Just finished season 1 watching season 2 now but let me tell you season 1 was a masterpiece.
To Your Eternity anime was a great journey of 2 seasons with quite different approach to development/evolution. Sadly I'd say a fair amount of people felt frustrated in the long run and I can't even blame them because it is hard to keep the right mindset imo. So I'd like to give a little advice for anyone wanting to start this show: Do not forget the MC is just an orb to begin with!
To Your Eternity is Masterpiece no doubt. But it's too sad, I dropped after season 1. I might watch it again though.

honestly, the series isn't worth it after what they did the Knockers... they could've done it better without integrating some of the human aspects into it.
