Was close to giving up until I found your video, big thanks! Only small change I did in the end was to use left Z button to aim instead of L , feels more natural since you also shot with Z right.
I followed this video for the newer Brawler 64 NSO Edition and gotta say, the steps on my end were shockingly the same, down to the controller being recognized as an Xbox controller, even your instructions for the C buttons were identical for my controller. Thanks a lot for the video!
Just the information that I was hoping to find; I was trying to do this and couldn't figure it out. That left thumb and right thumb business would have had be stumped for who knows how long. Definitely out of the legacy systems the N64 is the toughest one to map correctly. Thanks.
Picked up the Brawler64 controller a few days ago. Mappjng was all wrong. Found this and it was near 100% identical. Only reason not a 100% is because I think RetroArch updated the wording on some of the key bindings. This did guide did get me through enough to figure out the couple of new button labeling though. Now time to go and enjoy the games of my youth
Muchas gracias y genial contenido.
I got the USB version of the original Brawler 64, and the default button inputs identified by the computer were all wrong, and the start button just didn't work at all. So I'm rather iffy about spending my money on a new one just in case I encounter that same issue again.
@@ArchadesGames So you're saying it's a different N64 controller? That would explain why it looks a bit smaller. Still had similar issues with mine, though.
Yes I was just going to write that I just solved it, but thanks for the super fast response, I just found your videos and they have helped a lot, sub for sure, thanks!
Saved my day!

Setting up this controller with RA is harder than it needs to be, so thanks for the simple guide.
Super helpful, thank you for this! Was banging my head on my desk trying to map my N64 controller

Mine doesn't show c buttons to program
I habe done everything like this but rumble doesn't work on my legion go. Any idea?
You have it on Xinput

This isn't a Brawler

By any chance, would you know how to set this up on RECALBOX? I’m having a hard time with it
Hi I can’t even pair the controller with the pc, it all blinks rapidly and then nothing. On the n64 works fine. Any ideas?
Hey the reset button when pairing to different receivers

In this great day ... my comment is second but I shall take it !
Woo
Is it possible to just connect it via USB because I have tried and it won't even be recognized
Wireless only
@ArchadesGames oh.. at the very least I did manage to make it work but wired is still my preferred method for controllers
