This is how I remember the low tone with dead syllables: 1. If you are short (short vowel) and low (consonant) and you end up dead( dead syllable), you have not reach your dream of growing tall (high) so it is HIGH tone. 2. If you are tall ( long vowel) and you bend very low ( low consonant) which cause you to die ( dead) due to the fall so FALLING TONE.
Kru Nun is the best online Thai Teacher, Thank You Very Much ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing this! Btw I like the way you speak English, you’re so unique 💕💕💕
For those who suggested to merge many characters into one, it's not that easy due to historical reason. These characters were imported from Indian script and form part of Buddhist scriptures.
Thank you for helping me explain.
Thank you for your lessons. I never thought, there were Thai lessons on youtube. Every time, I was in Thailand, I was listening a lot and I have found out a bit. My mom-in-law usually speaks Thai to me and I kind of understand it. But it is simple, it is always about food :-) And I try to learn the writing from the traffic signs. So I can perfectly read "ทางออก" :-))) I think, I can learn more from one video, than in one week in Thailand. I will not remember all of the lesson - no problem, I can repeat it sometimes. What I will not forget is that there are low class and high class consonants.
Explaining the own native language is pretty complicated. I have to explain German to my wife. She has learned the rules and I (usually) know if something is right or wrong, but I don't know the rules.
I think, you are doing excellent work here and I am grateful :-)
Thank you for nice comment and keep learning.^_^ at least you can read some words. That's good already.
9:10 it helps me a lot where I was lost in the past. Thanks a lot. U really know what foreigners r confused about Thai.
Try my best
You do a fantastic job' explaining everything! By far the best teacher I've found. Thank you!
Thai aksorn is the most complicated writing system! However, the language grammar is very easy....
Yes
I think Khmer is more hard 😭
Chinese left the chat 😂
You mix in information that makes your videos extremely helpful. Just great.

Thanks
Hello, i still try to learn the rules of the reading. How about rules for low class ภ in word with no tonal mark and no sonorant or dead end. For example word ภาพ, it is falling sound. What is the rule?
🙏🙏🙏
ขอบคุณ มากๆ!!!!
I'm a bit confused between the high tones and rising tones when reading or speaking, they sound so similar. Do high class consonants mean they should be pronounced with high tones and/or rising tones?
And by the way, if I want to spell the name "Kim" using thai letters, which consonant k should I use?
ua-cam.com/video/Y3J-1Pm9mGI/v-deo.html check it out
ขอบคุณมากค่ะ
ยินดีค่ะ
Thanks for the lesson & download above-will practice.
Thank you
Thank you very helpful 🐻🐻🐻✨❤
You are welcome
There are letters that sound exactly the same and falls at the same class for example the letter “ท” or letter” T”, so which one should be use? Where they depend?
low voice There will be a main and a minor,
for example: ท ธ ถ ฐ ฑ
ท is main
ธ ถ ฐ ฑ is minor
Shit. I cannot distinguish the tones, even after thousand listenings!
It takes time to learn tones .Keep learning.
the tones aren’t really that hard after awhile.i struggled with it at first but i got it like yesterday . bc it’s middle, low, falling, high, rising. only thing that confuses me on how you pronounce the consonants. and you put them together to make a word, and. how you use the vowels.
In เด็ก, what is the symbol or mark called? I thought it also a tone mark.
Mái dtài kóo ไม้ไต่คู้
thank you for this video
You are welcome.
🙏🌹💕
Kop khun krub! :)
Yin dee ka
Its so hard ka 😭 but i really wanna learn thai so bad
How do you know if a consonant is high-class, mid-class, or low-class: by the sound it makes, or just through memorization?
Kör kài =ข , kor kwaay =ค start sound are different.
@@SpeakThaiEasy The sounds are different, but what is the relationship between sounds and class?
Class and tone are totally different things, correct? There are 5 tones in Thai, but there seems to be just 3 classes.
1ex1uger I would suggest you to distinguish by memorization first. When you are able to memorize them all, then, you can memorize by tonal differentiation. For example, when I was a kid, started learning Thai grammar, my teacher gave me a trick to remember mid-tone and high-tone consonants so she gave me to remember “ไก่ จิก เด็ก ตาย เฎ็ก ฏาย บน ปาก โอ่ง Gài Jìk Dèk Dtāi Dèk Dtāi Bōn Bpàk Òng (A chicken pecks a child so he’s died on the large earthen jar) so this gave you to be able to remember “ก จ ด ต ฎ ฏ บ ป อ” as the mid-tone consonants. For the high-tone consonants, we remember ผี ฝาก ถุง ข้าว สาร ให้ ฉัน ศึก ษา ฐาน ขวด Pëe Fàk Tüng Kâo Sän Hâi Chän Sùek Sä Tän Kùad (A ghost gives a rice sac to me to study a base of a bottle) so now we know that “ผ ฝ ถ ข ส ห ฉ ศ ษ ฐ ข” are grouped in the high-tone consonants. The remaining consonants I didn’t mention are automatically grouped in the low-tone consonants.
@@hackkers1 omg this helps me so so so so much!!! Why didn’t they just share this in yt vids :’). ขอบคุณมากนะครับ🙏
I don't know why there are more than one alphabet for similar sound.. It's so confusing, how do we know which alphabet we will have to use if we know the pronounciation. Means we will have to remember spelling of each and every word.
Hard and soft sounds.
Me gustaría que los doblarás al español seria de mucha ayuda para las personas que no entendemos ingles del todo gracias amiga
I dont speak spainish sorry.
Awesome

Im stuck at identifying what words are high class middle class and low class 😭

Depend on student. T
You need to open your heart and your hear to learn Thai language.
If your a beginner. For how long will it take to learn Thai ? If you learning now
Reading takes around 20-30 hrs to be able to read basic word. Speaking takes time to repeat and practise.
I struggle to remember the Thai consonants. There are so many loops and quad loops.
Some loops are on the inside and some on the outside.
I think its just a matter of rehearsing and repeating over and over until it sticks.
thai tone is soooooo difficult!
And soo beautiful to listen :)
flag in your logo its not thai.. its costarica
It was a mistake.
Hi Kroo Nun
Hi
Forgot the “to tau”..
ฒ TOR POO TAO
So many characters with the same sound and class, why not just keep one and merge 2 into one etc for ease.
That's would be nice for Thai kids also to learn to read Thai.
Why not petition a change to the education minister there and streamline it and make it simple to get children and adults to read and write.
What de...
Bo Sheek, That's not possible because thai is a tonal language. The different thai letters imply different tones. Thai people know, depending on the letter, which class it is and thus which tone. They don't need to think about that anymore, it's just part of the pattern references they have developed from when they were young. As a example, take a look at German that has cases. Foreigners have to learn the cases, but Germans themselves they have a feel for it.
If you want to encrypt any message and make sure nobody else read it just write it in Thai

Speak Thai Easy khry noon.
l think the best way to teach thai language is by reading a text and pointing to each of the word on how to recognize and to read the word with the tune's symbols.
hope u will make a video regarding on my request.

best regad from indonesia
Can I spell phom with either ผ or พ?
