A long time ago in far far place next to the Van Nuys airport, there was a restaurant named Lue Lue's Diner back in 1986-87 if I recall. They had the bar area where you could have an early drink and breakfast. My uncle was sitting having a cocktail and breakfast; Tommy sits down next to him. They shoot the shit for two hours having a good time. My uncle comes home, he says, have you ever heard of Motley Crue; Unbeknownst to him, I'm wearing a Crue shirt and stood up and showed him, that was when he realized his nephew was a hardcore Crue Fan. Over the later years, I met all of them in a public setting and all of them have been super humble human beings over the years.
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview, Allison! I’m biased because I love the Crüe, plus John 5 has been my favorite guitarist for many years now, but this was special. During the “group therapy” part, I couldn’t help but think “What if they never think to express things they appreciate about one another?”, but you forced them into doing it, and they probably loved saying and hearing all those things!
MICK MARS was never mentioned very sad ,just remember you can think your the greatest guitar player in the world but MIck could write the best riffs ever and if you cant do that then your a YNGWIE MALMSTEEN with no hits and no radio play ever.
I'm no doctor, however (for those asking), it looks like Tommy is dealing with a case of "Alopecia Areata" which is a sudden case of hair loss that starts with one or more circular bald patches when the immune system attacks hair follicles, which can be brought on by severe stress. I dealt with it once years ago. It grows back.
Yep. This is why I looked at the comments. I wanna believe that it is a camera goof, Tommy, of ALL the "Crue" he was the one who would have a head of hair, even after the bones have dissolved.
the dude is 60 he isnt going to have all the hair he had, also Nikki Six has been wearing the same cheap wig for a decade, that dude lost his hair a long time ago. With all that money you would think he wouldnt wear a wig that can be bought at a Spirit of Halloween store. Also i hate the new song, and the video is shit.

Great interview! You really got them comfortable and asked the questions diehard fans would have asked. Never knew what a group wraparound was before .... learn something new each day, ha!
They did an excellent job of syncing the audio to the lip movement. Crue is getting better at using the whole "backing track" thing. Crue is the only band in the world who can pull off a lip synced interview with all 4 band members.
If you really believe that this whole interview was lip synched, you’re insane. Obviously they have backing tracks during their concerts, but to say a whole interview was lip synced is comical.
I grew up in the same area as these guys and remember the hollywood days around 1980. Here they are still putting out good shows and new material... it's a tough path to take and it's not for everyone (especially touring) but you can't deny they have a unique sound and all of the guys (now only 3) have big personalities that keep them interesting over the years. I do feel Mick should get more credit. I think his illness should get more respect. It's not like they had a blow out, they guy doesn't have the ability to do it anymore. I think he's got way more image on stage even though he actually stands in place most of the time. Mick just has a presence about him. He's the original. And I can say after meeting him (I've talked with all the guys more than once....) and talking with him, Mick was very kind and humble. They should at least give him a nod publicly... Otherwise this was one of the best interviews I've seen with them.
Allison you are such a great interviewer! Just a request that sometime in the future, can you request a interview with the maker and master of the sound of Motley Crue, Mick Mars? His riffs are what made this band's existence relevant in these times. He is the only reason I still give the first (2) albums a spin in these current times!
I remember how much I loved Live Wire & Dr Feelgood. Admire the longevity of this band & the fact they've always been very transparent. Stiil crazy after all these years.
Its all sweet and dandy here! No questions about the real force of the band Mick! Its like Mick never happend! Avoiding bad vibes ok!? New chapter or not! But you gotta give credit to Mick also in the end he came up with the bands sound even the name hello!?

Vince will tighten up as the tour legs progress. Number one priority for Vince is slim down , lighten his load so he can breathe more efficiently . Hes a pro , he knows this no doubt , maybe J5 can instill some fresh perspective and positivity into Vince and his stamina work outs . It can be done . For singers tho we all need to remember their instrument is literally a body part . A physical part with limitations . As a guitarist I can strap on a Les Paul with old strings knowing I need to “replace” them for new fresh ones . or a drummer can bang on and replace old drum heads then replace them w brand new ones . Singers who use their body as an instrument don’t get that luxury . Sure there is surgery and stuff but no guarantees and possible more worse than before . We should support and encourage all singers to work toward staying light on their feet as a frontman needs to be and to help them remember their breathing excercises . Chris D Original SALIVA Guitarist. From 96 to 05 . It was wonderful working with NIKKI SIXX on the video and song Rest In Pieces from the album SALIVA Back Into Your System . He was a complete gentleman and ass kicker and my all time highest rock idol since I was 12 yrs old . I am 54 now .
@deplorablerocker7130 wow! What a great essay. John 5 has been with Motley Crue for 1.5 years and that hasn't changed Vince at all. Yes as people get older their voice changes and it is harder to sing. I get that. That does not excuse his constant forgetting of lyrics, mumbling and making things up as he goes. That had all been going on for years
Great interview Allison-you have a special gift when it comes to this sort of thing and that is to kick back and let the guests shine! (not an easy thing for sure)…I still hold that Vince in his prime was (and is) the single greatest frontman I’ve ever witnessed in rock history-otherworldly voice with beach blond hair in a red leather outfit?--Come on now y’all!

The applause from 100 people at the end when you thought this was an intimate interview 😂 Lawyers and yes/no men on site for sure!
61 and still loving Motley tunes 😊
It's obvious they don't watch their own performances due to the praise they give Vinces singing
It's obvious they're referring to his voice on the records over the years. Nobody expects him to be good now and they all know it.
@jeffg.3250 they at a point were referring to current day. Not to mention he forgets the words, mumbles and makes up new words

Original SALIVA
Guitarist.
That had all been going on for years
I'm so back in high school!❤
Can't wait to see Mötley Crüe at Löuder Than Life Fest in Louisville this year!
John is mind blowing
Great interview Allison-you have a special gift when it comes to this sort of thing and that is to kick back and let the guests shine! (not an easy thing for sure)…I still hold that Vince in his prime was (and is) the single greatest frontman I’ve ever witnessed in rock history-otherworldly voice with beach blond hair in a red leather outfit?--Come on now y’all!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with me, Richard. I really pour my heart and soul into these interviews, so thank you for the love!
@@AllisonHagendorf No-It’s really my pleasure AH, keep up the excellent work dat ya do!

Great interview with an amazing band!
Thank you so so much!
Love this so much, You are the best interviewer. I love the questions and getting to know this band even more,
Love learning new things about the crue everyday, great interview
This interview was great! Everyone seems like they would be so much fun to hang out with! I’m glad they’re back, long live Mötley Crüe!
I'm a Crue fan, but it's not Crue without Mick. John 5 is awesome, love him, but Motley Crue needs to retire before they turn into KISS
I agree.
They already have, especially with the laptop!!!
Even Kiss still has it
@@allencolvin4320 KISS is finished...Gene and Paul are doing their own thing now, they sold their catalog and rights and are collecting checks. Peter is retired and Ace is doing his thing and being Ace. Tommy and Eric are back to being hired guns this time without Ace and Peter's make up.
@@allencolvin4320 Not anymore, they're recently retired. Besides, they drug it out too long if you ask me. But hey, that's my opinion.
I love Vince too!!
Fantastic interview!!👏 Words to live by: "We're not here for a long time but we're here for a good time!!"💯♥️✌️
Thank you so much!!!!
Motley crue has been one of my favorite bands for like 15 years. They've always managed to stay relevant which can be really difficult so props to them.

I'm so happy for John...True class act...but Mick deserves all this fun. This is not Motley without him...I know time goes on, but come on guys...
