I do admire him for what he was able to do. I had worked with someone who had a form of Ankylosing spondylitis. He was in pain everyday and couldn't even walk without help from a walker or wheelchair. For Mick to have it AND stand AND hold a guitar, let alone play a full concert, is amazing. He is someone to look up to. I understand where he is coming from with opioid addiction. You take one and the pain is manageable. But after awhile one isn't enough. You need two, three, four................each time because your body gets so used to the pills after awhile. Then you run out too early and have to wait until the next script. In that time, withdrawals happen and they aren't pretty. Your pain is amplified. You get pains in other spots that you didn't realize you had because the pills wiped them away. Too hot. Too cold. Sweating. Depression sets in. You're an addict without the thought of becoming one.

I am a young rock guitar player in my 20s with scoliosis , and while it is nowhere near as severe as ankylosing spondylitis, I have been dealing with back pain since I was 17. Mick Mars is a total inspiration for me, because throughout the pain, and through the feeling of your spine turning against you, he not only pulled through, but he became one of rock's most unbeatable icons. Motley Crue themselves are my inspiration, and that's what makes the recent events so hurtful because of the way they treated him. But as you said, true Crue fans love and appreciate Mick for everything he did.

Band of Ego´s... Never been a big fan of MC, but i have always had a sort of respect for Mick Mars since the late 80´s, due to hes personality and yes the man is the soul of the band, yet he has always been in the shadow of the other ego boys.... As its clearly indicated in the documentary, lets form MC again, weeks of negotiation with the ego boys and suddenly they come to realize " Oh wait, we need a guitar player...." No one even bothered to know where and how the guy was during all those years.... As if he had been a session player all those years... shame really.

I’d had a minor operation on my foot and got addicted to the Percocets they prescribed me. Back then, they’d throw the damn things at you. Today, you almost have to have a leg amputated to get them. He's in healthy weight, with shiny eyes and hair. He also smiles a lot more than he used to and looks much healthier and happier. I think he's truly blessed to have Seraina. Curious about how Motley Crue fans are going to see you, Mick? Oh, man, that hurt my heart. Like seriously.
Brother, you are a legend and the reason many of us even started playing guitar! You could be playing from a wheelchair and I'd still come to see it! I have a guitar that stays in whole step down tuning just so I can jam Mars tunes. I use it for nothing else.
The amount of courage and heart it takes to do what you do with the hand that was given to you is truly an inspiration to all.
Its your drive and love for music that, in my opinion, makes you the greatest guitar player ever.
I doubt Eddie, Eric, Jimi, or Jeff could do what you have done in the face of all you have fighting against you.

Whole thing is hilarious ‘the band will freak if they know cameras are here’... I bet all my money on Nikki being behind and directing every step of this. Can’t play bass but he sure can create a spectacle. I do think Vince seems like a pretty chilled out guy. Everyone’s used to rock singers being absolute lunatics (DLR, Axl, Steven Tyler).. Vince just seems happy to be there. Mick was (and is) a very strong person to battle through such a severe disease. When I saw Crue he was the highlight, too. Great player

Watching this you see Tommy was the one with the real problems. Vince was keen as was Nikki and it shows you who the real problem in Motley was !

Yet you don't know the history behind his behavior. Tommy had a lot going on during the time

He comes across as a selfish prick in this documentary. It's all about him!
