I lost my wife and son and I was gone on the road singing in my band, I fuckin lost it.I had a noose around my neck ready to out with my favorite band and they played a song I never heard( if I die tomorrow) before the song ended I had the rope off my neck. You guys saved my life and I could never thank all you enough. I love you guys and I want all 4 of you guys for all the great music and most of all for saving my life. Long Live Motley Crue .
It was tough to hear Mick was alone all those years when he was desperately wanting someone to help him. I understand he didn't have the strongest relationship with his kids but no friends to check up on him when he truly needed it until Nikki and Alan came before the reunion. Brought a tear or two. Mick you are a legend and all fans in and outside Motley respect and appreciate you still playing through that terrible disease you suffer
Nikki and Micks’ relationship was one of the strongest bonds ever. Don’t forget when they first met, they hated each other. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Really, it was that strong? That strong that, as Mick says here, he fell into a pit of despair, addiction and pain, wishing someone would come for FIVE YEARS, and nobody (not even Nikki) ever came until it was time to roll Mick out onstage and make some money from it.
w0bbl3r Mick hid himself and nobody could get in contact with him. But just because nobody gave him open arms of help, that doesn’t mean the relationship was terrible.
Really, I was under the impression that Nikki and Vince were the closest to each other and Tommy and Mick were the closest to each other and I thought that they didn't hate each other when Nikki and Mick first met.
Mick Mars is truly one of the best guitarists of all time. He will go down in the history books for sure. He is awesome to listen to and his courage to help himself feel better is amazing.
Exactly what I was thinking... it wasnt even directed towards me but it wtill made me think "Damn well maybe I should get back on heroin.." i liked heroin. It was numbing to me I was as on heroin and pills for almost 5 years and after the love of my life died I tried killing myself all the time by overdosing because I didnt want to live, it was either I was being criticized by my family or by drug dealers trying to not sell me much because of me trying to kill myself by od
It's so sad to see how the band's gone from rooting for Mick and being there for him to completely shitting on him present day. They are a tribute band now at best with yet again another super talented guitarist holding them together.
Great comment I completely agree100% I can't believe Nikki is a Sagitarius as I am but his birthday 2 days before mine .If anything we are supposed to be loyal ,ethical and honest, surely he can't be a Sag lol
This was the start of Mick being Mick again. The band getting back together saved Mick's life and he stepped up like the strong person he is. Great guitar player, one of the best. When they first started, Mick was the only one that was a master at his instrument.
Part of me hopes they saw Mick and realised they had to put their egos to one side and do it to save him. I am not a MC fan as such, but I have tremendous respect for him as a guitarist and also for finding the fighting spirit to come back from rock bottom to do this.
Mick.....you're a beautiful man....we the fans care so much about you and always will.....you're such a great guitar player but you're also a great human being. Rock on Mick
He says he's doing well. His wife says the same thing. You can tell it's true by looking at his newer photos. His wife Seraina has some on her Instagram. He's in healthy weight, with shiny eyes and hair. He also smiles a lot more than he used to and looks much healthier and happier. I think he's truly blessed to have Seraina. She takes great care of him. And she seems to be a very positive, life loving person. Perfect for someone who dealt with depression.
who would have known how this story wasnt as much about MC as it was about the raw humanity and realization that people need each other and its never been more self evident in all of them . The courage Mick showed brought a tear to my eye and how he put his uncomfortable embarrassment to the side. And the video omg.
I was never a MC fan until the later years... That being said: I have ALOTTA respect for what they’ve accomplished over the years-not to forget what they’ve also overcome!!! MC is definitely a force in the world of R&R👍🏼

I saw them that tour. I had front row and backstage passes. Awesome. Out of all of it I think it probably saved Mick's life. Sure glad he's still here.
Completely agree - Mick is mc to me - certainly the least heard of member of the band - but his story intrigues me the most out of all the crew of motleys
FloodyBoy Randal you’re right. Dime was in his own league bubba. NOBODY had more FEEL in their playing. Soul brotha. Not jus playing licks and bs shredding. Means nothing if you have no feel behind it. I love Micks playing. Excellent riffs. But you’re talking glam/hard vs metal. 2 different styles. Ask other musicians and they’ll tell you Dime was the man.
Wow/ The way they pulled If I Die Tomorrow was phenomenal. This is what sets superstars and internet sensations apart; gods/superstars and titans/everybody else. Mick is the star of this whole thing...
These guys should consider themselves lucky this documentary is about 20 years old already and they are all still alive. Considering the fact they have been through so much as a band and their personal lives. You only live once and if you still got it you still got it. We all die and life is short so get out there and keep on keeping on. Rock on! RIP Randy Castillo that played with them right before this documentary was made. Just be happy for each others accomplishments and learn to forgive.
Curious about how Motley Crue fans are going to see you, Mick? Oh, man, that hurt my heart. Like seriously. Brother, you are a legend and the reason many of us even started playing guitar! You could be playing from a wheelchair and I'd still come to see it! I have a guitar that stays in whole step down tuning just so I can jam Mars tunes. I use it for nothing else. The amount of courage and heart it takes to do what you do with the hand that was given to you is truly an inspiration to all. Its your drive and love for music that, in my opinion, makes you the greatest guitar player ever. I doubt Eddie, Eric, Jimi, or Jeff could do what you have done in the face of all you have fighting against you. Don't ever doubt yourself, man. Your fans love you and always will. (Glad you kicked that opiate addiction. I had a back injury myself and got hooked the same way. Glad to see you sporting that cross too!)
I've seen them 3 times in concert starting when I was in 7th grade and they toured with Ozzy for their Shout At the Devil album. Hands downs best live show ever. Rough seeing Mick like that but maybe the reunion gave him the will to go on maybe like a purpose. Glad they did get back together. Been my all time favorite band since I was 12, 36 years ago and always will be! True American Rock n Roll bad ass band!
Everyone is saying “this and this person is the reason the band held together” but if u take away one of them it’ll all fall apart so basically Nikki Tommy Vince and mick make up Mötley crüe, nothing more nothing less
I think the point being, Tommy and Vince would easily step away, if not for Nikki and Mick. Vince even seems open to burying any past issues, it's Tommy that is holding a grudge.
All of them being difficult personalities oddly tend to balance things out. So its the shit that breaks them, also makes them. If they replace someone, that replacement person wont have any say on anything. They made a great record with Corabi, i still listen to it, but its not Mötley Crue. Im just stating the obvious here.
We flew from Perth Australia to see them in Las vegas, San Diego and Los Angeles.. The Forum show was killer and so was the pre and post gig get together (at the Rainbow)with the fans from all over the globe! was excellent! Great Re-union
This is when Tommy was being a complete princess. I think he thought his solo career and popularity would sky rocket. Boy was he wrong. However I'm glad they swallowed there pride and made it work.
Love these guys 4eva always will even when they are 75 years old I would still go and see them, all there books are amazing outstanding I would recommend everyone needs to read. Seen them at the final tour here in Australia and will go again hopefully real soon with another world tour 🥰🥰🥰
I could tell right away after seeing the making of the If I Die Tomorrow part that all four members were in on the reunion. You can tell that all four members were having a lot of fun during the making of that video and it was magic.
I have osteoarthritis through my spine shoulders hands ankles knees hips although every day is painful I know it is still no way as painful as micks I totally relate to his embarrassment and feeling like you just can't go on with it i honestly don't know how he managed to get on that stage and play are bodies have to work 3 times as hard just the smallest thing's will tire you out yet he carried on the man is a trooper and an inspiration

@mikedavis8008 The virtuoso of those group always deserve his money , Mick Mars is the reason for Mötley Crüe
Mick needed his boys
If there weren't gonna be a reunion, Mick would have died in 2004, instead of having his hip replaced.
Yes
Yes he did they were his family
On with the show
Yes,i'm glad they all got together for one more round. 😊
Mick: " People are questioning if I'm gonna make it, and my answer is: watch me" Damn!!! What a legend!! My personal favorite guitar player in the world! These guys are the definition of Rock Heroes! #LongLiveTheCrue!!
I saw them live several times. They had that intangible quality of hard rock uniqueness that left people wanting more of them. They were just like Mick said; 'We become some kind of entity.'
This I like a lot. To meet them was great. To finally get to tell Mick how I felt as a fan & also one who also has a disease I try to keep calm. Mick I wish you the best you'll always be a great guitarist & a man in my eyes & heart. Love ya. The look he gave me was it for me. Thank you MC
Mick saying "watch me." With that smile. Yessiirrrrr! Let's gooooo! 🤘🤘 Crue Head for life
This reunion saved all their life's including my own.
Rawb Roberson ❤️👍🏻
God Bless you brother!🙏
Wow, what a story, you are so brave. God bless you🙏🏻hope life is looking better now.
My first concert at 16 years old in 2005! Loved it, my favorite band.
Those 4 are like true brothers, who gets annoyed at eachother and have their up and downs, truely a legendary band and forever will be
It was tough to hear Mick was alone all those years when he was desperately wanting someone to help him.
Nikki and Mick are definitely the closest Nikki even has a tat of Mick on his leg
Bullshit saying
Fuckn kill ya enemies
Mick Mars is truly one of the best guitarists of all time. He will go down in the history books for sure. He is awesome to listen to and his courage to help himself feel better is amazing.
I started crying when mick walked in 😭
I would pay just to see Mick period
That’s 90% of the reason I’m buying concert tickets😬
"I liked you better on heroin".... yeah that's always a good thing to say to a recovering heroin addict lol
I would've said I liked you better when you were eating locks and bagels you $ sign JEW! (click)
@PAbcentral ______ I don't care if some cunt calls me a junkie. They can suk balls
@PAbcentral ______ I've been called a junkie ... Nikki did say after speaking to Vinny, "now wouldn't be a bad time for a hit of smack" ...
Neal Daamkjaer aaaand we found the anti-Semitic asshole
It's so sad to see how the band's gone from rooting for Mick and being there for him to completely shitting on him present day. They are a tribute band now at best with yet again another super talented guitarist holding them together.
Great comment I completely agree100% I can't believe Nikki is a Sagitarius as I am but his birthday 2 days before mine .If anything we are supposed to be loyal ,ethical and honest, surely he can't be a Sag lol
@@batphink2655 Right. His DOB is probably as fake as his name
This was the start of Mick being Mick again. The band getting back together saved Mick's life and he stepped up like the strong person he is. Great guitar player, one of the best. When they first started, Mick was the only one that was a master at his instrument.
When Mick said “watch me” and smiled I both cried and cheered at the same time. Fuck yeah, the beast lives.
Poor Mick, he really looked terrible back then. Mick is the talent of that band, hope he's doing better now.
Coy Leigh they have confirmed his condition has stopped progressing
He says he's doing well. His wife says the same thing. You can tell it's true by looking at his newer photos. His wife Seraina has some on her Instagram. He's in healthy weight, with shiny eyes and hair. He also smiles a lot more than he used to and looks much healthier and happier. I think he's truly blessed to have Seraina. She takes great care of him. And she seems to be a very positive, life loving person. Perfect for someone who dealt with depression.
@@amusementfilms4616 The damage is still there though. The pain doesn't go away.
who would have known how this story wasnt as much about MC as it was about the raw humanity and realization that people need each other and its never been more self evident in all of them . The courage Mick showed brought a tear to my eye and how he put his uncomfortable embarrassment to the side. And the video omg.
You can see that Nikki is the most positive!
He always has been its his band and he would never give up on it for a chance of a reunion
And smartest
Seeing mick broke my heart. I love mick he’s just an amazing guitarist. We love you mick
I was never a MC fan until the later years... That being said: I have ALOTTA respect for what they’ve accomplished over the years-not to forget what they’ve also overcome!!!
MC is definitely a force in the world of R&R👍🏼
Great respect for Mick.. what a way ... love the band
Firm believer that this band and his friends saved Mick Mars life! Amazing what music can do for a life. Always said that music can heal the soul!! Having a ruff day throw on your favorite band lay down and enjoy...
What's Mick doing now? I know the other 3 are still playing with their own bands. But do you know if Mick has his own band.
@@seanoconnor5730 he's doing a solo album that should be out soon, and he's played on Phil Campbell's album
I really believe they saved micks life he’s a strong little guy because of them
“You guys have to hide the cameras because if they see them they’ll freak out.”
14:11 *camera walks right up to Nikki*
Right? That stood out to me too. Like....how was that "hidden"?
@@JennaLeigh They had it hidden somehow. Nikki would’ve said something about the camera.
@@KennyDresden98 a lot ofthis is fake no way would management secretly record a band meeting thats a huge betrayal of trust
Yeah its all staged bs
Nikki was one of "them". He was trying to make the reunion happen. The hidden cameras was more for Tommy and Vince
I saw them that tour. I had front row and backstage passes. Awesome. Out of all of it I think it probably saved Mick's life. Sure glad he's still here.
Mick is the man. So tough. Such a legend. All hail the kind of rock!!
You never have to be embarrassed Mick!!! You sir are the king of guitar! You are god! MM1313 for life!
Completely agree - Mick is mc to me - certainly the least heard of member of the band - but his story intrigues me the most out of all the crew of motleys
sjaxemaster11 Ehhhhhhh...... Dimebag holds the title King Of Guitar. HOWEVER Mick is JUST under him.
You said he was embarrassed???
FloodyBoy Randal you’re right. Dime was in his own league bubba. NOBODY had more FEEL in their playing. Soul brotha. Not jus playing licks and bs shredding. Means nothing if you have no feel behind it. I love Micks playing. Excellent riffs. But you’re talking glam/hard vs metal. 2 different styles. Ask other musicians and they’ll tell you Dime was the man.
This was 15 years ago. I get to see these guys in concert in August. I can't wait!!!! 🤩😍😍😍😍😍🙂❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow/ The way they pulled If I Die Tomorrow was phenomenal. This is what sets superstars and internet sensations apart; gods/superstars and titans/everybody else. Mick is the star of this whole thing...
“i think people are questioning me if i’m gonna make it..watch me”
And MICK WE LOVE YOU!
We love you Mick, and we always will !!!
Saw this back in 05 ! Watching again in 2020 Glad to see and say that Mick Mars is still kicking ass!! Rock n Roll will never die!!!
Mick Mars was originally named Dick Jupiter.
Even after the final tour, Tommy is still a child.
@Mark Cianfarani Tommy gets credit for Heather, but the rest were all skanks and skanks don't count!
Tommy is a bitch.
Gerber Bernstein Child ? No ...he’s a complete douche.
Because he's a total fucking douche bag! I mean, damn, his own fucking son knocks his ass out cold!
@@tacojoe5936 Calling people skanks is disrespectful and demeaning.
Tommy has been fried since this band has started, I love motley but god damn Tommy had always been a child
Amazing band. Mick Mars is an impressive human being and the other members matured a lot since I knew them in the 80's. Crue is legendary now.
Amazing bands don't perform over backing tracks or play fake bass. Jane's Addiction mops the floor with hair metal tropes like these guys.
God bless you Mick and thank you for all the years of rock I grew up with you guys rocking everyday thanks again God bless brother
Everyone is saying “this and this person is the reason the band held together” but if u take away one of them it’ll all fall apart so basically Nikki Tommy Vince and mick make up Mötley crüe, nothing more nothing less
Awesome talented band members Vince, Tommy, Nikki and Mick
I think the point being, Tommy and Vince would easily step away, if not for Nikki and Mick. Vince even seems open to burying any past issues, it's Tommy that is holding a grudge.
Oh Hell No: WELL SAID, MY FRIEND, WELL SAID!
Couldn't of said it better myself, they all contribute something to the band and are all great in their own respected ways
Wish Vince still sounded like he did 30 years ago now you can’t even make out what he’s saying and it hurts 🥺☹️
He could get it back to good for his age if he just tried.
Mick I really hope life is treating you good. I'm praying for you sir
We flew from Perth Australia to see them in Las vegas, San Diego and Los Angeles.. The Forum show was killer and so was the pre and post gig get together (at the Rainbow)with the fans from all over the globe! was excellent! Great Re-union
How are we gonna see Mick .. as we always have as a quiet good natured guitar virtuoso... thats how we see you Mick God Bless
All of these musicians ! Are fantastic ! That's what makes the band , as Motley crue !😀😉👍
If they see cameras they're gonna freak out... *points camera directly at Nikki*
This documentary is a reminder that no matter whether you're famous or a nobody, health issues can come for anyone. I really hope Mick's health improved. It was said that it's an incurable disease, but I hope that at least something could be done to improve his situation. My heart goes out to him.
This was 2005. Since then Mötley Crüe have been on several tours, and an upcoming tour this summer, so his health must be holding out?
Watched Carnival Of Sins a few years ago and became a bigger Motley Crue fan than ever. Nice to see this documentary about the events leading up to that concert. Thanks vh1. You rock!
Well done Nikki staying sober., Such Heart!!
@My Opinion Right! It's called NO CHOICE anymore lol
I adore Nikki.
I have so much admiration for Mick! I have had several back surgeries and endless blocks. Many days I just don’t want to get out of bed. He is the hero of this story.
MM fantastic guitar player. If those guys had been clean in the 80s they probably could have been the Aerosmith of their generation. I'm truly amazed they all survived. Glad, but amazed.
Mick is alive today because of this reuniting of Motley. Band members have issues every day, but guys.... it's nothing that you can't talk about, say your sorry to each other and move on and get back to being the four brother's like you were back then. Motley is truly ROCK legend's and us fucking fans love you guy's.
Mick Mars you are wonderful, so glad your doing better! Motley Crue is wonderful. Looking forward to you concert in Nashville June of 2021.
Mick just said how our Fan's would react to this, well I'm one of them lm one of those Fan's, we care about you , and want to see you as healthy as you can be that's all, if you can't that's ok to.. your health comes first ..
I really think he's gonna do some new music
That shit with Mick broke my heart!..
We love you Mick you’re the man please stick around and keep on jamming
I wish this video was another 2 hours long!! It was awesome to see Mick Mars come back and make it on stage to rock like he always has. I even have 3 Motley Crue: songs on the playlist I made to get my ass outta bed. You can't listen to Motley Crue: motionless. LOL.. ;)
Wild side is a must.
MICK HAS ALWAYS BEEN A STRONG!! INSPIRATION FOR ME EVERYTIME I PLAY MY GUITAR. ✌ I'VE SEEN THE CRUE LIVE 3 TIMES!!! WHEN THESE GUYS TAKE THE STAGE!!!! THEY OWN IT!! BECAUSE OF THE DEDICATED TEAMWORK THAT THEY HAVE!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS GET THE BEST SOUNDING SHOW. " THANKS VINCE!!! YOU SHOT ME A BIRD IN HUNTSVILLE V.B.C. IN NOVEMBER 1987😅 I LOVED IT 🤐🤐 I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MOTLEY CRUE!!! SEMPER FI!!

Ty, good to watch...One of the first bands I got into at school.... loved them all the way, a worthy epitaph!
Graeme Sweetapple I love em , I miss em, miss the 80's.
George - there's a hell of a lot of us out there that do, and would go back in a heartbeat!
Dang Mick, Ida come over and chill for as long as you need brother, you have done so much for me over the years as far and giving me inspiration and incredible guitar riffs, as I play. I feel for the other side too, I was given OCs for my blown rotator cuff and already had a drinking issue, happy functional drunk, but eating those things and eventually graduating the same as everyone before me, but finally got it figured out 7 years ago. There are a millions of people that would love to support Mick!
wow....seems like yesterday.I sen this tour and back in 1984 when the crew toured with ozzy bark at the moon tour.Love these guys. Thanks motley for all the great times.
Dead Weight March 10th, 1984- my first concert!
I have the same thing (Mick) ... I'm 42 ... when he said he feels like Quasimodo... Fuck it made me cry... Same feeling... Go Mick Go Mick... Go Mötley !
Look at Tommy's body language at the conference table. He's a teenager.
Danny Krinkle he has ADHD
Yup
He's a drunken teenager.
It's called crack
He also wanted to be at the center of attention.....that's also why He was 5 hrs late. What a bratt
Mick is over here like “watch me b” and I’m here for it
my heart and prayers go out to mick and his family and to all the band members do not forget where u came from and no matter where u guys end up u have some 1 out here that loves u
That was TOTALLY awesome, how they ALL had got back together!!! Thank you for sharing...
seen them several times great shows always ,and mick is so underrated cannot wait for his solo album. would love to see them back together again they fucking rocked
28:14 - 29:08
Mick god damn dude
I fkn love this man and hearing that breaks my heart 💔
No one deserves to feel like that, that is an incredibly low point...
Who was being rude?
Vince Neil seems like he ives for the adrenaline rush of going out in front of a crowd and performing.
I think you have to get a rush out of performing if your line of work. I'm a DJ and I'm the first to say there's a definite rush to performing. I enjoy creating new music at home in my studio but nothing like watching a room full of enjoying what I do.
The word performing.
Should be removed from your comment.
BLUBBERING IS MORE LIKE WHAT HE DOES !
Performing in front of a crowd always adds another layer of rush on top of a solid performance
Oh like singing every third word. Looks that kill sounds like this with him singing it. Now up. Razor sharp' get way' slice apart' cool black' moves cat. LOL. Vince sucks as a vocalist.
I love Vince's style.
Whole thing is hilarious ‘the band will freak if they know cameras are here’... I bet all my money on Nikki being behind and directing every step of this. Can’t play bass but he sure can create a spectacle. I do think Vince seems like a pretty chilled out guy. Everyone’s used to rock singers being absolute lunatics (DLR, Axl, Steven Tyler).. Vince just seems happy to be there. Mick was (and is) a very strong person to battle through such a severe disease. When I saw Crue he was the highlight, too. Great player
I hope Mick is still doing good today! Loveys Micky!
Watching this you see Tommy was the one with the real problems. Vince was keen as was Nikki and it shows you who the real problem in Motley was !
Michael Marshall yea tommy seems like a moody baby
Yet you don't know the history behind his behavior. Tommy had a lot going on during the time
He comes across as a selfish prick in this documentary. It's all about him!
