Compare the actual heroism in the face of naked bigotry and prejudice that the senior Elder had to face, with what these grifters like Ta Hesi Coates and Patrisse Khan-Cullors claim to face as they move into all-white neighborhoods with million dollar homes.
Far more important what’s going on in your household than the White House ❣️ thx Larry keep spreading truth.
From a black British man, Larry please keep schooling them and spreading the common sense which isn’t so common these days
Telford Police enter the chat
The police do need reform, but pulling out is going to cause far worse problems. What a mess...
Hire Larry Elder for chief of police, head of education, and anything else we're screwing up.
My father was born in Algeria. His father died when he was 5, very poor mother. One day at school, the teacher wrote a math test on the board and asked if anyone thought they knew the answer. My father was the only one to put his hand up. Teacher invited him to go try. He got it right. Teacher grabbed him by the ear and dragged him all the way to the school gate and told him, if you know everything you have nothing to do here and threw him out. My dad was 10 years old, he never returned to school. Collected trash on the street, sold cigarettes to Americans during the war, that's how he momorized a little English.
He eventually made it to France with my mother in his early twenties. Both couldn't speak the language, write nor read. Did he face racism? Most probably but I did not once did hear him complain about it. He worked 3 jobs. And one day bought his own business, which my mother and him worked hard on while bringing up 9 children. Age 60, he finally managed to buy us a lovely home, with a pool. All of us were taught values. We never were told about race. Be respectful, work hard and go play with everyone. I am so thankful for my father. He has passed away now. RIP
So touching to read about your father. He sounds like a wonderful man.
You had an extraordinary father, may god give rest to his soul. I expect you and your siblings to be a force for good on this planet and we are going to need that. Ugly times are coming.
Thank you 💕 as the saying goes: hard times make strong men, strong men make easy times, easy times make weak men, weak men make hard times and so on. It sure looks like victimhood has become a badge of honour nowadays and some people don't want to let it go. Common sense has left the ship ;)
I wish all the best to my fellow humans in the world. I don't pay attention to colour, there is so much more in the character of a person to look at.
Thank you. May your wonderful father rests in peace.
@@sunbeam9222 Thank you - that was truly inspirational.
This is how you conduct an interview. Not a single interruption.
ask a question and pick the guest brains.. tactical silence of neutrality.
@@KirkKellnWasHere exactly, well said. went to comment this but you summed it up perfectly; this is not your average interviewee!
@M H There are different styles of interviewing. People like Michael Malice and Dave Smith and Dave Rubin bring people on that they have political differences with but don't challenge them because they want to give them a chance to express their views. By not being confrontational, they are able bring more people in from a wider political perspective.
@@KirkKellnWasHere You should have a podcast rating platform or ref a debate, your views are well thought out.
I'm sorry, but this isn't correct. Ever since the Newman / Peterson debacle a couple of years ago and even before that, sensible people sick of woke nonsense have been writing comments like this, and I have some sympathy with the sentiment given the woeful crop of 'progressive' Paxman wannabes still prevalent in the mainstream, but the truth is that a good interview does require a bit of back and forth (except in special circumstances, such as interviewing a prestigious academic about their life's work).
So refreshing to hear voices that challenge the narrative. Im sick of people being labeled 'racist' for simply questioning the narrative. I'm incensed by everything being reduced to the colour of one's skin. STOP IT NOW!! We need good honest open debate and discussion. We need and deserve the truth.
What's the narrative?
@@halbleavy9900 in short, for me, I see it as - everything being reduced to skin colour and the refusal of some to look at other things that could contribute to outcomes. It's lazy, it's cowardly and it's dangerous.
@@craighart9278 My friend, I have no quarrel with anyone in regards to skin color. But it is apparent since the first Africans showed up at Old Point Comfort we've been judged by skin color and it continues today.
@@halbleavy9900 hey, 🙂👍 No sensible person would deny that racism exists and racism in any form is unacceptable. Full stop. End of.
I'm not here to quarrel or fight either, I promise and I appreciate your reply. It's the last thing I want. I want truth above anything else. Thats all. I'm no Guru, I don't have all the answers and as I said I just want good, honest, open debate and discussion. That's the way we can all learn from each other. I feel that's not happening right now and more worryingly I believe the truth is being distorted and there is manipulation for political gain, power etc and its causing great division and resentment. To be frank, I believe that some want to fight racism with more racism. That's the way it comes across at times to me. It's not the solution. I want to be part of the discussion and part of the solution too and not lazily dismissed because I'm 'Pale Male and Stale' or if I ask questions to hear 'Oh, that's just your white privilege" it's pathetic the level of discussion at times. Drives me insane. My mind is open. 🙂

Listening to Larry describe that conversation with his father almost made me tear up. That's someone truly deserving of the utmost respect.. such a powerful anecdote.
You should watch him tell a fuller version. Very moving.
“Dear Father, Dear Son” is one of my favourite books, I can’t recommend it enough! Powerful story, absolutely a page-turner!
Just ordered the book. Sometimes you're a gooney bird, wobbling about on a south Pacific cliff, feeling awkward and overstuffed - but then, jumping out into that air and off into space, unfolding those beautiful wings, you soar just like the albatross you are.
Elizabeth, I'm not sure if this will make sense to you, but throughout my life I never saw my father wetshave. Self discipline - incredible discipline. He shaved in the morning and he shaved in the evening without ever missing a beat.

This is music to my ears . Let's deal in objective reality
Better not mess with Larry Elder. He'll just pepper you with facts over and over again. I really enjoy watching him in action. Well done guys.
When I saw that you guy interviewed Larry, I had to prepare. Daughter in bed, hubby having dinner with the boys and me chilling with a glass of red listening to truth and fact so beautifully put by Larry. I am a child of immigrant parents from Nigeria, education is the key this was the mantra in my home. I am now an educator myself and teach at a private International school in Shanghai I create a safe environment for students to explore topics and discuss their thoughts. I was once a leftie and happy to say I no longer am I see through the BS. I am black, successful and never have I felt oppressed in the way the BLM or the media wants one to believe. Well done boys!
Word! This was incredible!
Sometimes I worry about my own objectivity because I like Larry too much.
You like him because he espouses empirical reality. You and I would be the first to call him out if he ever trafficked propaganda, but Larry's values would never allow him to do that.
@@kenhiett5266 He is nothing if not consistent.

Love Larry and the two British Bigots; but can't stand Michael Knowles. Tim is pretty cool but I worry about his ego. :D
I've been watching Larry Elders for years, hoping the black community would get the hint...
It's strange how the black community will ignore all the brilliant black men and women for race baiting community leaders.
It's really sad. Guys like Larry Elder, John McWhorter, Glenn Lowry, Coleman Hughes, Zuby, etc. Are absolutely brilliant, and should be leading thought leaders/intellectuals of the Black community. But they are dismissed for the race hustlers like Ibram X Kendi, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Ta Nahisi Coates, etc.
The Black community deserve better leaders. It's just a shame those better leaders aren't listened to.
Unfortunately, some folks just need to blame others for their situation.. and some will never hear this message. Pray and strive, that's all I know to do.
In short term, it feels a lot better to blame others for your situation and believe, that you can't do anything about it, than to admit that you might be partially responsible and to try and improve your situation.
Not surprising his political opponents won't debate him. Elder is highly intelligent, passionate and compassionate. He would run rings around those that believe in perpetual victimhood. Great interview chaps!
Can you imagine him Thomas Sowell and Ben Shapiro on a Debate team? Against Harris & the squad & Pelosi and Waters? Let Trumps press secretary moderate..

Here in the UK, since Saint George Floyd, we've had constant BS and blatant propaganda from the BBC, Channel 4 etc. So it's so very refreshing to hear someone fearlessly stating the facts and hard data regarding policing and criminality in the US. Along with people like Brandon Tatum and Candace Owens you do an excellent job of dismantling the prevailing narrative. Respect sir.

Why is BBC talking about George floyd
@@theisisreincarnate Hi, It's because the BBC has embraced the ideology of identity politics and has built its ideas into its management structure and recruitment policies. It's obsessed with this stuff.
Take a look at CBeebies some time (I have to because I'm stuck at home with my 18 month old child). The unmistakable fingerprints of woke intersectionalism and 3rd wave feminism are all over it. Why don't you bring it up. Show them this interview and ask them to use it.
If they refuse, ask why. Ask them what facts are wrong in mr. Elders speech and can they show the"right facts". Don't be confrontational just insist in getting the reasonable explanation,if they start BS-ing you dismiss their answers as being very questionable and retreat.
Let them continue with their dogma but seed some doubt in their souls.
@@ms-jl6dl I've done that multiple times, had HR meetings. Raised concerns at company meetings with our ceo in attendance in front of around 250 people. Had several people approach me in agreement but to scared to say anything. I've pointed out the hypocracy and contradictions in their actions and even had them tell me directly that they want less white people in senior positions. Aside from making a name for myself they just deny it is what it is.
I think my next step is to write a lengthy complaint using only logic and reason, no stats, have it proof read by a few people and try and rally up a group to show them I'm not alone. I just need a minority or 2 to agree to the points I make about it being patronising that the company believes minorities need their help and I should be good.
