As an ISTP I got triggered watching this. My reaction would’ve been the same. He’s being genuine and they’re treating him like he’s putting on an act.
My boyfriend is an ISTP and I'm an ENFJ. I don't know the context of this situation but off this clip, the friend seems so rude, this made me so upset for him.
As an INTP, whilst not in a dating context, I can definitely relate to Paul here. When asked and I give an answer that is accurate and logical to me but then a friend or whatever says that some other random people won't like me or whatever, I'll just say something along the lines of "I don't care. I don't know these people". Not even that I have animosity towards others but I don't care enough for these arbitrary expectations from people I either don't have much of an attachment to or frankly just don't care about.
Edit: Also, I would not jive on well with people like Micah's friends. Like I'm supposed to accomodate for you that doesn't make sense to me but also, they're not willing to do the same for me.
I mean, I felt bad for the brother ISTP. He finds someone he can stand to be around who can actually stand to be around him. They seem to like each other. Then all of a sudden he is thrust in the middle of these stygian witches who putting their own crap off on to him. If it were me? "Listen, I'm going to take off. Call me later if you want to hang out."
I watched this season. He is a scientist. He is giving it the best go but he sees red flags with not only Michah but also the girls she hangs out with. I think he really went into it open minded. When he says he is concerned she would not be a good mother that is a rational concern if you watch how she is with people.
There's obviously no compatibility there. I felt so bad for him because I would be the same way.
