I liked that Ross acted as a father figure of sorts to Phoebe, including teaching to to ride a bicycle.

That doesn't line up with continuity. Rachel found out about Monica & Chandler's relationship by overhearing her calling him "Mr. Big..." on the phone, so to imply that he's too small doesn't line up with that previous episode.

@@aliali-ce3yf either way, it doesn't make sense. It's a sitcom, and the writers didn't exactly care too much about continuity in later seasons.

This scene between Ross and Phoebe is incredibly cute!! ❤ I love the fact that Ross is willing to mock himself to help Phoebe and that later they have a genuine, serious talk about the marriage, and Ross tells Phoebe how he really feels about it despite all his marriages ending. That takes guts. Also, notice that when Phoebe needed serious advice about smth, she usually went to Ross, no one else. Not even to Joey. Ross and Phoebe were opposites but that's why I feel they were the most honest to each other from the entire group, and loving and supporting each other at the same time. They were Dharma& Greg, before Dharma&Greg were created (and the direct inspiration for Dharma&Greg was Phoebe and Ross's relationship on Friends, btw).
Joey had not been married so that’s why she would not ask him. And Monica and Chandler were happily married and Pheobe wanted an answer that would make her feel like it’s ok not to marry. Although Rachel was engaged to Barry and married to Ross in Vegas so she could have asked her. And Pheobe calls Rachel her best friend once when she mentioned that Ross has a child with her best friend.
I didn’t know that about the connection between friends and dharma and Greg. I always liked dharma and Greg better .

Well Phoebe wanted Ross to tell her marriage is horrible because of his divorces but Ross couldn’t do that. However Ross did tell her that marriage wasent for her but Phoebe realized it was what she wanted cause her life was so unconventional. Phoebe did end up with Mike but they needed to be on the same page first

It wasn't marriage advice she was after. Mike told her before that he wasn't interested in getting married again so she needed Ross to tell her that marriage is bad so that she doesn't feel like she's missing out on anything.

It was the actor's idea I think, but yeah, I couldn't stand the character in later seasons
@@alenciaga21 But I think Matt LeBlanc suggested to dumb Joey in initial seasons saying that no one will remain friends with him if he was straight forward and rude. He chose to play a lovable dummy rather than smart dick. We all loved stupid Joey in season 4 and 5. The writers dumbed Joey down seriously in later seasons to the point that he wouldn't even survive if he's on his own. The writers were clearly at fault for Joey in season 10

I get his point, although I did like him most in the first 3 seasons tbh. I'd rather they have him remain witty, and had an actual character arc for him to act less like an asshole. Later on he was stupid AND a dick most of the time

oh, look, here is AGAIN, the insufferable, pathetic Ross hater and troll, who just has to comment about him negatively 24/7, and prop his own fav characters, even if the scene is very cute and Ross is great here with Phoebe. You need psychiatric help, imagine being as pathetic as you! Phoebe and Ross had a great friendship - FACT, and Phoebe didn't have any real connection with Chandler, she mocked Chandler the most through the entire show, and she thought Monica was an awful, controlling bully in general, and in her marriage too, and Phoebe actually did say this to Monica a few times on the show.
That's why Phoebe didn't go to Mondler. Not everyone, thank god, got manipulated by Mondler's superficial cuteness when in reality, especially after the wedding, Monica became a total abusive bully to Chandler, and Chandler was basically afraid of her. They were toxic and far from a good couple, cry! 🤣🤣
Phoebe had a special connection to Ross, and they always gave advice to each other, you notice this if you watched the show. And the same time, Chandler and Phoebe rarely had storylines together, they only had casual dialog exchanges at the start, one full storyline when Phoebe and Rachel found out about Monica and Chandler, and Phoebe tried to 'seduce' Chandler, and one at the end of the show when Phoebe got married to Mike, and it wasn't even the full storyline, it was rather one moment when Chandler walked Phoebe down the aisle, but that was clearly the decision of the writers exactly because they realized that they didn't write many interactions between Phoebe and Chandler for the entire show, so they threw this one for Chandler.
And just like other people here, I notice you always hate Ross, under every single video, literally all over UA-cam. You are really obsessed and it's funny how you don't see this as disturbing and sad. It's just a fictional character, you don't have a real life to worry about?
To be fair, only 1 of Ross' marriages ending was even partly his fault. He and Carol had a really successful relationship for years...til Carol suddenly realized she's a lesbian and cheated on him. He and Emily were a good couple too, it just ended because he made an albeit terrible and unfortunate slip of the tongue but he clearly did love Emily. Just because he had those divorces doesn't mean he's bad at talking about his feelings on marriage. I love Chandler and Monica as much as the next guy, but you heard Phoebe, she wanted to be told marriage sucks and those two clearly love being married to each other.
Whenever marriage is mentioned around him I always remember “who? Two divorces and Joey ?” Monica’s roast
