- I stumbled across a scammer from Nigeria who was sending out fake checks. I managed to convince him to let me in on his operation and then I sabotaged it!
Don't accept fake checks and don't take jobs mailing them out either.
Imagine confusing a scammer so much that he'd ask you if you've taken your medications today. 🤣
Keep up the great work!

@@miciso666 yeah it's really sad. i know i'm now suspicious of every accent i hear on the phone. these scammers complain about people being racists but they promote racism with their scams and lies. and that is bad for the entire world community.
I feel really bad for you
The part I really hate and am quite embarrassed is when I hear the accent, I think its a scammer and it shouldn't be this way. I hope things change but I also wish I didn't get as many calls as I do. I'm not sure what the answer is.
I saw a woman trying to buy $500 worth of gift cards at 7/11. I told her how scammers work and she was so grateful. I wouldn’t have recognized it without your videos. You’re doing a great public service brother. 🤙🏽
great job!
That's great. The 7/11s should be required to tell people buying large amounts of gift cards about the possibility of a scam.
Can you please explain
@@notanotherusernameScammers sometimes require you to buy a lot of money worth of gift cards, and this person spotted someone falling for it so he kindly pointed it out.
Good man for stepping in and helping her.
I have worked for the post office for over 20 years and I have sent countless numbers of these packages to the postal inspectors in hopes of saving these people from being scammed. I once was able to retrieve a package for an elderly woman who sent an overnight package with thousands of dollars to a scammer, thankfully she told her son what she had done and came back the very next morning and I was able to get her money back and give the address to the postal inspectors. I wish I was able to do more and I’m grateful for all you do. Keep up the fight!

It's actually sad and scary that many people get hooked into being victims of scams so deeply that even when someone warns them and explains them exactly the scam and why they shouldn't continue falling for it, they don't believe it and just continue.
it's a common problem, nobody wants to believe that they have been scammed, so some victims will react aggressively when you warn them because they think you are attacking their intelligence
@@MrLTiger you are. They did something stupid. They know they did something stupid. It's what you do after the stupid thing that really matters
lol I remember reading this story a while back about this guy who fell for that Nigerian 419 email scam, they claimed to have millions for him but kept asking for "fees" to cover transfers, bribes for customs, etc. He ended up giving them tens of thousands of dollars (most of it borrowed from family and friends), then the scammers just stopped contacting him. I think that whole time, he had been lying to friends and family about why he needed to borrow money, they all stopped talking to him afterward.
@@bengonzales1182 That's what happens when we are so addicted to a get rich quick scheme we ignore every bit of logic and sense. And often the person who LET themselves get scammed causes a lot of loss and hurt to those around them, like their family. There should be no pity for these people. Hopefully they will learn from their foolishness, but sadly many don't.
Thanks for doing a great job in stopping these scammers. I appreciate what you said “stop giving Nigeria a bad name.” As a Nigerian who is sick of these individuals, I appreciate you acknowledging that not all Nigerians are scammers. Most of all, I appreciate you stopping them from stealing from these unsuspecting people. Thanks! I am subscribing.
Not all nigerians are scammers. Many of them are princes that have a difficult time accessing their fortunes! Luckily, with a small loan of $1000 US, we can help these poor people access their millions again. Just happy to help a Nigerian prince any way i can!

Why didn't you explain the scam in the letter to the victims? You could even include the check, tell them to try cashing it and they will see it will bounce. Show them that they just by luck escaped losing their money, raise awareness to avoid that these people fall for it again.
I’ve been a mystery shopper for years with over a dozen clients worldwide. I received one of these checks that they asked me to use to buy gift cards from Walmart to “evaluate” their customer service. Of course I was supposed to immediately give them the gift card numbers, after which the check from them that I deposited would have bounced, leaving me high and dry. But I didn’t bite. I reported it to the authorities who wanted copies of everything. Idk what ended up happening. Keep up the good work!
I was a secret shopper for a fast casual restaurant about 25 years ago. They sent me forms to use to evaluate, I would mail them and the receipt. and they'd send a check. They were based out of Lexington KY, it was 100% legit, and it was kind of fun. I don't think the restaurant ever caught on to me being a secret shopper. Hardest thing was timing time from completion of the order to when they gave me the tray (without being seen to use a stopwatch). But these are rare opportunities, and my only payment was a meal for one every couple weeks.
I was one of those little spies for the company I used too work at. I got both my legs broken from it. I walk with a limp, now.
You're my favorite!! Love your videos!! Keep doing what you're doing!! Due to your videos I've helped others be aware of scams and I'm always recommending your videos.

@@PleasantGreen people over on tiktok ripping off your content
@@MYERZ08 I would guess he's just happy that the message is going further. He's really trying to diminish the amount of scams people fall for.
@Ellis The DJ without any credit? Also uploading someone else's content isn't "sharing"
Next time please ask them to send you an advancement of $50 to "Buy more ink" to print the rest and when he does so, IF HE DOES, then just donate that money lol
How is he going to donate the fake check?
@@56585656587 - Umm, because he would keep up the pretext of needing advance funds to buy more ink. So he would force the scammer to either send him a legitimate cheque, or cut him loose completely. If the scammer sent him a fake cheque, he would try to cash it and say it hadn't worked and there must have been some kind of mistake. Are you following this?
Guys scammers never give money, they just trick out people out of their own pockets.
@@ilimitadouc - I'd say it's not impossible for a scammer to invest money in a person if they foresee a much bigger return from doing it.

only to tell the scammer someone called them pretending to be a person helping. further ruining it.
There is also a chance that one of the recipients was scammer's friend, not a victim. He included him in the list as a quality control measure to make sure checks get mailed

This happened to my mother. The person on Facebook who the scammer was claiming to be, ( my mother's friend ) was ironically scammed herself. I took the phone off my mother and replied to the scammer, asking her how her children were doing, but actually called her children the wrong names. After playing with scammers I get 10 to 15 scam calls a day. If they are on the phone with me they are not stealing money from a susceptible Seniors.
i bet you like 90% of them still went on to get scammed, they called the scammer back and he was like oh sorry you got sent the wrong thing and then he resent another one. It takes a special kind of person to fall for something like this in the first place.
a fool and his money are soon parted
If he only sent what he wrote in the video, it probably didn't help much. If these people are already falling for it, it's probably as simple as the scammer sending another text to get them back in it.

The mules are not the victims ! They might don’t know the details of the scam but they definitely know it’s a scam. You signed up with them with no work contract and same did the mules. Which means they don’t pay income taxes . Some mules have been doing this for years and, when they get caught, they are considered to be victims.
As independent contractors who work without work agreements, they still must file taxes quarterly. Every 3 months. None of the mules does it. Because they know exactly what they are doing. They are not the victims.
He's just going to lie to half of those people and still scam them..
Yeah, this wasn't the best solution.
Especially sending people falling for scams a DUM DUM
Holy smoke! This is insane! You are doing great fighting back with dirty scammers 😃😀✊🏻
There should be required training before opening a bank account and you have to be retrained every 5 years.
This is fantastic work, although I believe that you should have left a more detailed letter explaining the whole scam, and an instruction to not text or call John Valdee about the replaced note and the lollipop. I bet you could get paid for this if you kept it up long enough, surely the money mules get paid for this kind of thing. Not only that, stealing from the scammers could really benefit the local community and international charities if you don't plan to keep the funds for yourself.
Trying to get paid as a money mule without doing any of the illegal money mule work would be an absolutely fantastic series to watch. How long do you think you could retain the job before the scammer finds out? Would the scammer ever find out?
What's sad is there are so many underprivileged people desperate to find work. If they come across this and don't know, they'll just think it's a good opportunity. Even if they're underprivileged and desperate some people are going to figure out it's a scam. Unfortunately not everyone though.

My Uncle once “got a job” shipping merchandise to buyers on eBay that was originally purchased with stolen credit card numbers and shipped to his house. He was not only dumb enough to fall for the scam and think he got a job as an “internet shipper” (he never asked why he was re-shipping items that came to his house by UPS, FedEx and USPS from a domestic address back out to a domestic address) but once he figured out he wasn’t going to get paid he called his local TV News station and they did a news segment about a scam where you ship things out and you don’t get paid for it.. 🙄 Him and the news channel never touched on how the brand new merchandise arriving on his doorstep was originally purchased (stolen). I seriously think that they have in the first batch of people, maybe a friend or themselves that you send the stuff to, so they will know at the first batch that it's not going to work
@@nostalgicumbry3279 you think they will go through that effort?
@@codex4046 - Yes, quite possibly. Unlike say a massive list of e-mail addresses which are worth relatively little to a scammer, a list of names with postal addresses of people who have (presumably) already shown some degree of falling for the scam is quite valuable. So it's certainly possible that the scammer might have one of those addresses that will report back to them, whether as an actual confederate, or as a potential scam victim who would still trust the scammer over the UA-camr's warning letter. Because gathering those names and postal addresses has taken a not insignificant amount of work for the scammer. So they don't want to risk the 'payroll employee' either not sending the letters at all, or sending the letters with warnings.
@@LHyoutube Yes, thank you for this response while i was away.
