we got a guy in my neighborhood that literally every day walks down the street checking doors for packages and trying every single car door along the street. we live about 3 blocks from a police station and cops are always heading out to start their shift down our street. Even reporting it, the cops do nothing. there is absolutely no reason for people not do be doing these crimes as there is little chance of punishment. In cases where people actually set traps or something they often were the ones who got charged. So basically somehow we are now the criminals, when the police were not doing anything about it. It's one of those things that just makes me so frustrated in life and I think a lot of us feel like that. Western society is so broken.
Great work! I remember, probably back in the 90's, a scammer's address was posted. He was PO'ed because hundreds, maybe thousands, of magazine subscriptions were sent to his $million home... probably a few hundred pounds a month, everything from free subscriptions to mail-order catalogs.
Scamming people should bring a sentence of life without parole. They ruin lives. My father was 85 when he was scammed for $30,000.00 … His life’s savings.

I love so many things about your channel but the fact that you do two main things. You make sure everyone is aware of all the scams out there, how they work, how to battle them, and/or how to deal with them. And two, you give so many people that do these scams and actually want out, a place that you can give them that opportunity. A place to sort of redeem themselves using the knowledge they have of that past life. Keep seeking justice where others can’t!! ❤

If it's under a certain amount (such as 10K) then yeah - they won't do anything. It actually costs money to investigate these criminals. But I agree. It still sucks.
Right as you said that they record themselves to be transparent, I was thinking to myself that there's nothing stopping him from opening the package, taking a few extra $$$ off, then putting it all back. I didn't expect him to take the whole amount, though, that seems like a dumb idea.
It is a dumb idea because is not believable…. But what can you do once they have the money? They just try to make it believable for you to hire them again so they can get more out of you
right from the start i knew thats exactly how that was going to go. you cant find random strangers on some group and expect them to help you scam cash from people by picking up a package. the only way that works is if you actually know the person and can somehow have power over them to threaten them into "doing the right thing" while playing their role in the scam. any idiot who randomly signs up to help as a money mule to a complete stranger is clearly out to take the money for themselves
yeah, as glad as I am everyone in this transaction got ripped off it's kind of disappointing that the scammer took the short term payout over the long con, as it were.

@@jwk128 Good thought, but in a refund scam, the "scammed person" is sending cash to the scammer who refunded them for a good or service, but supposedly "refunded too much", so there's no good or service the scammed person is paying for - at most, they're returning an accidental transfer, but there's no real transfer, so even with fake money, there's nothing they're paying for.
@@JG-fe2ym Not sure that argument actually holds water. At least, there is still an agreement formed to exchange supposed stolen money for a partial payment. It obviously didn't happen, and is unlikely, but its not outside the realm of possibility that the scammer could have confirmed the cash and sent a payment before realizing that the cash was fake. Personally, I am on board with the idea that scammers and their financial associates put themselves in a special category where beating them at their own game of fraud is absolutely fair play - but that is very much an argument of personal morality and not legalism.
Its reprehensible that the US post office knew about these types of relationship scams years ago yet still tried to get me arrested as an accessory when they clearly knew I was a victim. Think about it 🤔 how long have we humans been waiting for things to get better …as the technology advancements have come around , only the wealthy can afford the good life . The middle class is becoming the next generation’s of homeless . Less right’s less freedom less money . 🤷 it’s 2024 and despite technological advancements - today on earth there are literally 3 billion people living without electricity or clean water 🤔 . 2024 and people are still living in squalor and dying from malnutrition 🤯. Humans don’t deserve this planet 🌎.
And rather than technology’s improving life - it’s getting harder for more families every week 🚩.
I say screw humanity …. Let the A.I. wipe us out …or Mother Nature …. Or the dammed ALIENS 🛸 ….. 🤷 2024 and we have learned nothing - war - starvation- . Letting criminals walk away 🤷. Screw humanity .
This is what the police should do. I wish people like you could have their own investigation teams and help the society, it could theoretically be run by crowdfunding.
@@dirtyminerapparel I wish it worked that way, but the reality is that the government often fails at doing the job well. That's why we could reduce taxes on the government police and crowdfund private investigators.
APD is useless especially after they faced budget cuts in 2020. They don’t assist for even theft half the times, only for serious crimes. Lately there’s been a shortage of police officers so state troopers have been assisting and surprise surprise crime has been reported going down
It's more that the mules and the system seems to be piggy backing off of corruption in order to thrive, so you'd be making big enemies out of crime syndicates when you shut down revenue streams of them and their corrupt puppets.
The moment you attempt to start a movement or organization to confront scam organizations and circles at the same scale, they resort to more desperate measures, such as shaming, hacking, or even assassinations.
Police are worthless unless you need someone beat up for walking somewhere or smoking weed.
The fact that it's legal for amazon to sell counterfeit money that looks so real is what has my head spinning.
just having that fake money is a crime.
I’m a 7th grade teacher, and my students have these fake bills all the time. They look real, but they feel nothing like actual legal tender. If I catch them with the fake bills I confiscate and dispose.
I worked in a print shop for years and making color copies of real cash is not ok. The copy has to be huge or tiny.... I forget the %'s
@@alanm2842 Interesting question. I looked at the Secret Service website and it appears that simply "possessing" counterfeit money is not illegal. It becomes a crime if you use it with the intent to defraud someone with it
Some of these companies have the words "stage money" or something printed in very small letters on the back.
Man, this has to be one of the best cases of exposing the criminals in REAL TIME. You are doing what the FBI must be doing, but they have bigger fishes (well, Sharks, actually) to fry. The fact that these videos don't get that many views is the real scam. Each video is amazing. Keep it up

Half a million views for a 10 minute video is pretty damn impressive. It deserves at least a million though.
I only saw my first video of him today and I subscribed.
Respect for always taking these videos to the next level!
I’m glad that this video is out there. Anything to make it more difficult to scam people is a step in the right direction.
It does appear methods used are working as the money pocketed by scammers has dramatically decreased in the last year.
Hi ben! Thanks for helping people be aware of scams!
Mr. Green should report this scammer to Local police where scammer's apartment is located for thorough search of his room for other evidence of how many this low-life parasite has scammed!!

You should get the police involved. These scammers need to be punished.

Love that you do this & waste their time & energy. Sends them a message too--that not everyone is going to be their mark. What branch of law enforcement would investigate a crime like this?
I like your videos more than the other guys. I don’t have 45 minutes to watch something only to be told the outcome is only available on their paid site. Thanks for what you do! You do good work & videos are nice and concise.
Can you name the UA-cam content creators that do this?
To really waste their time you should figure out a way to have a package delivered to the wrong city and make the mule/scammer have to drive and hour or more to pick it up. That’s would be good. 😂😂😂
better yet, if he has a friend or neighbor with little ones, send a package with dirty diapers in it to the scammer.
@@feralbigdog heck or even those prank packages. Like the “monthly sex offender magazine” or “glitter bomb” that would be hilarious.
I mean, they probably wouldn't do it. This guy didn't pick up the package for two days and it was nearby. They're not out anything if they don't pick it up.
i am dumbfounded by the idea that people need to be told, "if a giant company is asking you to mail cash, dont do it bc it is a scam." that to me is similar to meeting a random guy in a bar and hearing, "i am a proctologist, if you want to go to the bathroom, i will give you a free prostate exam."
That isn't the worst pickup line of all time...
@@HenryLoenwind fair, but if you hear that and decide to go to the bathroom, you should 100% know what is about to happen.

Since it's in the US you should report him to the proper authorities. along with the footage you have. I'm sure it will be useful for any ongoing cases and investigations they have. He might spill the beans on someone bigger.
It's not at all useful because there wasn't a warrant to do said investigation. None of it is admissible in court.
What COULD be done is use this video as training for people who DO have the authority to do such things
@@Helladamnleet You don't need a warrant for public information or something supplied to the police in good faith. As long as the police did not do anything illegal to obtain the information such as pay him to go do this, its 100% usable for them.

7:13 Scammer's FTX shirt is a really, really good fit for what he does
One man trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon, as we all unfortunately know, but the dedication to do so is admirable for sure.
we got a guy in my neighborhood that literally every day walks down the street checking doors for packages and trying every single car door along the street. we live about 3 blocks from a police station and cops are always heading out to start their shift down our street.

They ruin lives. My father was 85 when he was scammed for $30,000.00 …

I never thought I'd be disappointed by the conduct of scammers but it's pretty next level to offer services to other people who want to scam people and then scam them. I'm actually disgusted, which is kind of weird.
You do an awesome job and definitely deserve more subs
What was the purpose of tagging the package if you had no intention on acting on it. You didn’t expose him, report him, you sent him fake money, and you lost an air tag?

The scammer was wearing an FTX t-shirt! So he ended up being the victim of a scam and he can’t complain that what happened to him was wrong. 🤣
Thank you for helping others understand and become aware of this garbage.
*PSA:* The government is not your friend and is not interested in protecting you. I was scammed for $3,000 a long time ago. I knew the address of the scammer, but NOBODY would do anything.
Whenever I hear "nobody would do anything", it usually means there's insufficient evidence to move forward. Before I'd make a generalization that "the government is not your friend", I'd need to hear all the facts.
If it's under a certain amount (such as 10K) then yeah - they won't do anything. It actually costs money to investigate these criminals. But I agree. It still sucks.
The scam mule is wearing an FTX shirt! LOL
They just try to make it believable for you to hire them again so they can get more out of you
8:43 Why would he bring the envelope to the atm?
Thank you for blurring my face. I will continue to scam. Haha.
right from the start i knew thats exactly how that was going to go. you cant find random strangers on some group and expect them to help you scam cash from people by picking up a package. the only way that works is if you actually know the person and can somehow have power over them to threaten them into "doing the right thing" while playing their role in the scam. any idiot who randomly signs up to help as a money mule to a complete stranger is clearly out to take the money for themselves
yeah, as glad as I am everyone in this transaction got ripped off it's kind of disappointing that the scammer took the short term payout over the long con, as it were.
Really enjoyed this video!! Please do more! You should send him a letter saying if he continues to do this you will turn him in since you have air tag location

i always wondered about the legality of sending those fake bills to scammers.
Owning fake bills isn't a problem until you try to cash them out/pay for goods or services with them. That's why you can easily legaly buy them.
@@MsLoverPower wouldn't sending them, imply paying for goods/services?
@@MsLoverPower don't forget about counterfeit money. They are illegal.
