Much enjoyed thanks, Wendall. So disappointed how Leeds centre has changed. I used to live in West Yorks, and my neighbour was from Leeds. We regularly used to have a mid week soiree on the train into town to explore the numerous off-beat pubs. I spotted the Wren in your vid at the top of Brigate. It's a shame your new mate didn't take you into Whitelock's bar off Brigate. They used to serve the most excellent McEwans IPA. The food in there was fantastic. Catch you again, Big Steve, East Yorks.
Leeds Kirkgate Market is fantastic and the Street Food Court is my favourite place for a lunch in West Yorkshire. The chicken shawarma wraps there are amazing 😋
I was once in a major chain store days after it had announced all stores in UK were closing down permanently... A group of young people were laughing about it in obvious earshot of ( for the short term) still serving staff 😮 So sad they had not been shown how compassion is such a gift 😢
Wendall, you should visit Norwich sometime on a Saturday afternoon. Lots going on, the market has lots of great British and foreign food, lots of independent coffee shops around, and friendly people too (on the whole at least!).
Never been to Leeds but I’m surprised how busy the streets look. It doesn’t seem like a bad place everyone seems friendly except the horrible kids. Also nice to see two of my favourite UA-cams together
British food “So bland and boring”? No Wendall, it really is not. It should not be fish and chips, breakfast fry up, or roast dinners that come to mind when you think of traditional English food. While up North a delicious Lancashire hotpot or a Alnwick Stew, or an iconic Parmo chicken. Or if you go south, Devon cream teas, Cornish pasties, Hevva cake, Portland Pudding. I’m all for flavour but a lot of so called imported cuisine is too heavy on spices, salt etc and less on subtleties. As a man who travels extensively throughout the country you might like to make it a priority to seek out local traditional foods in the area and especially now as your videos become more food centric…. Don’t dismiss ALL English food as bland and boring. And seeing as you were in Yorkshire, seek out homemade Yorkshire Brack, sold in all good bakeries.
Britain having "bland food" is an amerimutt/eurotrash invented stereotype cliche because they have always had massive inferiority complexes and jealously towards the British and GB.
I lived in Leeds for a year or so, and that whole thing with local kids starting trouble in the street for absolutely no reason is incredibly common. I've also had adults behave in appalling ways to me there as well, also for absolutely no reason. I haven't experienced that in any other city in the UK. Leeds is not a friendly place in the slightest unless you are from Leeds.
I was in Leeds city centre for the first time in years and years a few months ago and I found it to feel significantly rougher, more unsafe, threatening, unpleasant, dirtier, and diverse than it was 15/20 years ago. I used to say what a great city Leeds is to people but would not recommend it any more.

Love your video mate. I was actually in Leeds bus station while on my way to Manchester a couple of weeks ago and there are a lot of hidden gem places for food but the city as a whole has gone downhill. I had a night out there in 2007 and it was OK. You can get far better nights out in Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle.

England's gone to shite. Its becoming a 3rd world country now. It's 100 years past it's best days.
Huge unemployment, a social welfare state , an unproductive workforce, all jobs shipped overseas and an elite that robs everyone blind. Not to mention heavy heavy taxes. Its joke and I don't belive it's deterioration can be stopped. Half the woke british people keep voting foe the same thing
Where in leeds did you live? I lived in Birmingham in the 90 s ans got burgled 5 times in two years
4 times in the same house. Same gang of 14 yr old boys .
Lived in Bradford my entire life, never been burgled.
LOL @3:23 "Your mums gonna see this"
Hi man, I'm from Poland, living in England for 18 years now. Love Your You Tube channel 👍👍👍👍👍
Never thought of comming back?
You need to go back to Poland and serve your country.
Must be tempting to go back to Poland at the moment isn't it?
Thank you for recording this, talking to the homeless and challenging the youngsters
It's nice to see Mel B looking so well
These children are nothing but muppets and need to grow up.
Great Vid, glad to see your doing well, both personally and the channel, your reaping what you've sown buddy and hats off 👍
Appreciate that Mick, thanks for sticking around from the start
@@WendallExplores it’s my pleasure bud, if the content was crap i wouldn’t be here, your vids are brilliant insights in to the real world and real questions, a voice for the otherwise muted 🔇
If you keep following him around corners you'll end up back where you started. 😆
Good honest down to earth videos. A very good formula…I enjoy your videos very much
Leeds Kirkgate Market is fantastic and the Street Food Court is my favourite place for a lunch in West Yorkshire. The chicken shawarma wraps there are amazing 😋
Yes Wendall! I'm from Leeds & you actually really captured it. & big up for showing the homeless respect. Massive homeless situation here xx
Leeds is the beat no matter what I love it
I was once in a major chain store days after it had announced all stores in UK were closing down permanently...
A group of young people were laughing about it in obvious earshot of ( for the short term) still serving staff 😮
So sad they had not been shown how compassion is such a gift 😢
Is that scary spice off bo selecta ?? Ooooh crab paste 🤣
Nice tour bro thanks .. lots of love for the good people in Leeds and hope the boys in the hood will grow out of it soon
Wendall, you should visit Norwich sometime on a Saturday afternoon. Lots going on, the market has lots of great British and foreign food, lots of independent coffee shops around, and friendly people too (on the whole at least!).
Norwich is wonderful.
Kicking people when they down on their luck is pityfull typical bully
And seeing as you were in Yorkshire, seek out homemade Yorkshire Brack, sold in all good bakeries.
sounds pretty bland to me compared to a brie and raspberry jam qinto from N Spain.
Britain having "bland food" is an amerimutt/eurotrash invented stereotype cliche because they have always had massive inferiority complexes and jealously towards the British and GB.
Glad to see someone understands the score with English food.
@meisterlymanu5214 Industrialisation ruined British cuisine. Agricultural countries such as Spain don't have that disadvantage.
Go to Bradford, then you will experience the most delightful (cough) friendly ambience as that is rough as..
Kids they have no respect now. And they think there so hard.
All the crap rap music they listen to mate and they think their from a certain culture so act like it, totally embarrassing
Called his bluff on that threat, saying he'll do this and that while walking away hahahaha
His mate "Your mum's gonna see this!"😆
Plastic Gangster alert!
He makes threats but too scared to fulfill them.
Soft as claggy toffee man
When you started talking about Metal, you gained a regular viewer. Keep on showing off these awesome neighborhoods for what they are.
Ya mums gonna see this 😂😂😂 best line ever
Wendall should have told him he's had his mother
@@cultfiction3865 🤣🤣
very fast paced. and I love how you stand for those people in need and against those aggressive others.
The problem up north is that, since people are quite friendly, they're less shy to strangers so the bad ones have more confidence to give you grief.
Holy shit I can't believe you mentioned Sikth!!!
Bland Street Bloom is an absolute classic! Love it 😁👍👍
Another day in paradise
Luv your videos wendall show the real meaning of life
“Diversity” means lots of homeless locals and foreign nationals in council houses.
🎯
10:05 is not a Russian banknote, it is an old one from Kyrgyzstan (ex-Soviet Republic in Central Asia)....cheers and thanks for the amazing video!
I was in Leeds city centre for the first time in years and years a few months ago and I found it to feel significantly rougher, more unsafe, threatening, unpleasant, dirtier, and diverse than it was 15/20 years ago. I used to say what a great city Leeds is to people but would not recommend it any more.
5:04 Ya 💯% you would mate but a day to you might be a third the way around the block when the wind is let out of your sails my kind sir lol
I wasn't expecting you to mention SikTh! What a band.
Our people sleep on the streets while the rubber boat people are snug in their 4 star,3 meals a day heated hotels
What a load of crap
It's a lifestyle choice!
@@smartypants7284Your perspective.. ?
Yes.
Are you a glue sniffer 😂
Found our Daily Mail reader. What an embarrassment you are.
Damn, Sikth were my fave metal band for several years, incredible live playing by them boys. Happy to remember them, nice one mate.
4:08 - Mel b looking different
😂😂😂😂😂
Lad on Mobility scooter seemed a very nice person
These wee brats have got no breeding as my wife used to say 😮thanks for sharing this buddy 👍 all the best from me in Birmingham
I adore you and your channel I hardly comment but you got so much empathy you put a lot of humans to shame. God bless you ❤️💛💚🙏🏼
Whenever I visit a new city I always go and ask the local hobos where are the best places to visit.
theyre the same in the tourist office though, sick everywhere, one pink flip flop, one blue.
Eh up lads. Love the films mate, and makes me fooking chuffed I live in South Wiltshire. All brilliant. Especially the search for Del Boy cuz. Nice one ciao
Feral kids are everywhere in low socio -economic areas all over the western world, it's not just in Leeds or the UK.
Yep and they're not even that feral. They wear decent clothes and brands, certainly not from a poundshop. Just lawless.
Yeah didnt used to be that bad my family grew up in a low economic area but they got given good morals an cultural pressure to be better thats the difference.
@@WolfWest-e8u The same with my family . I would never have dreamed of getting into trouble with the police and upsetting my parents.
@@WolfWest-e8u Its always been like this. Certainly back to the 60's
@stewartmurray5830 I mean definitely not where I live. My parents have always said it's worse now.
That was sad to listen to their stories. What a rough time some people are having. Thanks for the tour 👍
Leeds is a great little city, to be fair there are parts so much nicer than these areas.
Moved to Leeds last year, some of the most unfriendly people I've ever come across unfortunately, moved on to Newcastle then and it's the complete opposite, the Geordies are lovely!
You and your mate made a very enjoyable video, thanks.
Thank you 🙏
