A list of obscure games that are actually obscure! And all great games indeed. Excellent job. (Btw Corona as a name for the protagonist sure aged well XD)
I grew up with the SNES, and had little experience with the Genesis. I've been playing through Genesis games recently and have been amazed at the library
This is an amazing gems video!! My parents bought me Ranger X once randomly for Easter (don’t know why I got a game for Easter, it only happened that once) and I was like oh gee thanks I never asked for this but cool I guess.... then I popped it in and it became an instant favorite of mine! Thanks Mom and Dad!
I cannot believe that Rocket Knight Adventures was not on this list. To this day it's still my favorite game of all time, a real labor of love, and decades ahead of its time!
I remember years ago when the Genesis was current I seriously debated buying Dungeons and Dragons Warriors of the Eternal Sun. I regret that at that time I did not buy it and I never played it still but I saw some UA-cam videos on it that looked good although I have not seen it in top lists. I really have not seen it mentioned in any recent YT videos.
Great list! For me, I'd personally swap out Mutant League and Gargoyles for Burning Force and Trouble Shooter. I remember seeing a lot of ads for Mutant League Football and Gargoyles back in the day and knew a few folks with one or the other, so not super hidden in my experience, but perhaps difficult to track down depending on where you were, so I can see how they could make a list like this. I only discovered Burning Force and Trouble Shooter in the last 10 years and I give them a pretty strong recommendation when folks ask me for relatively obscure games to check out. Also most of the Renovation games catalog on the Genesis could fill a top 10 hidden gems list, if I'd known about any of them prior to 2008 I might have made a concerted effort to track down a Genesis sooner. I was a Nintendo kid growing up and the Genesis marketing machine was pushing titles that didn't compel me to lean that way instead of SNES, shame because there were plenty of games I would have liked on Genesis if they'd gotten any love whatsoever.
Obviously late to the party, but I have to say having trawled through numerous hidden gem playlists over the years. This one truly stands out. Hidden gems indeed. Everyone should subscribe to this guy. A genuine hidden gem. 💎👍🏻
Mutan League Football was so awesome. We also played Mutan League Hockey as well. Both were so much fun. I love Target Earth but man that game is hard. Really enjoyed playing Alissa Dragoon on the SG Mini.
Ranger X is in my top 3 of Megadrive Best graphics. Awesome. Superb use of the shadow and highligh, palette of colours, 3D graphics and tons of god sprites and parallax effects. ❤❤❤
Some good games on your list. Did you ever play Jurassic Park? Man, that game was fun! You could play as either Dr. Grant or the dinos. Or what about D&D: Warriors of the Eternal Sun? That was awesome too! Ooh! Just remembered Rings of Power! That was a great game as well. Man, my nostalgia vibes are comin' on... love it!
The only game I heard of was Mutant League. One game series I remember on Sega was Shining Force. There was a couple of them for Sega. It's a tactical turn base rpg. One of those games I only heard of because a friend stumbled onto it.
@@Xygor I might have too look into it now. I hacked my SNES mini and put all the sega shining force games on it. Ive only been through halfway of the first game.
Excellent list, sir. I grew up with this system (born in 82) and I've never even heard of most of these. Having a great time exploring old games I never knew existed.
Crusader of Centy seems like it would have been a big hit if it had come out sooner. It's exactly what I was looking for on the Genesis, and this is my first time hearing about it. 1995 was very late for the Genesis, and four years after A Link to the Past. I'll check it out thanks.
Nice list my friend. Own every one of them except for Musha (and only because of the price of it). Not obscure to me, but indeed very rarely seen in other videos, kudos to you! Some obscure suggestions: battle mania, wani wani world, garfield caught in the act, wardner, devilish.
It's fun, but don't expect to play any serious football on it. One of those "just got guys night" type games. They made a hockey one too, which I prefer but the general public doesn't, really.

I always knew, if I would just see some scenes of the game I would immediately know that this is the game of my past, but I never found it. Until now: Beyond oasis. Finally I know the name of the game I remember from my childhood, thanks to your video.
Thank you for recognizing target earth. That was one of my favorite games of that time and it was the closest thing to mecha/robotech/macross that i could find. I would say check out Herzog Zwei, that game should be on here, completely unique game for its time.
I always enjoyed shooters even if I wasnt good at them. Musha looked really awesome and makes me second guess my Nintendo bias lol. One of my favorite shooters is Stinger on the NES.
This top 10 is interesting. I actually didn't know some of the games. Cool ! I am glad to find Alisia Dragoon on the list. This game is awesome ! Also Crusader of Centy in #1 is deserved in my opinion.

Rocket Knight Adventures. One of most graphically impressive, polished, well playing games on the system, and my personal favorite genesis game.

It sucks that a lot of these are selling for over $400.00 now. Back in even 2010 no one thought games would ever get that expensive.
True! My financial advisor is glad I don't have the collector's bug as much as many people!
Everdrive cartrige is about 40 bucks, then the games are a download away 😊
I will never understand why beyond oasis wasnt an enormous hit
It was a really great one for sure!
Probably because it came out after the Playstation and Saturn. People weren't paying as much attention to the 16 bit machines at that time.
@@SonofSethoitae Thats a good point. I think if the Internet was a thing back then a lot of games would have been discovered easier and sold better .
