      Only thing you owe me is that you share the good news (anonymously) on the channel when you win.

    This is one reason why I'm scared to get an attorney and am thinking of going pro se. I'm afraid my case is too complex and if someone takes it they won't put in as much effort.

    How long should a case normally last for retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination? Even when we caught them in lies...

      My case is still going on 4 years later... but that does include CV-19 court/society closures. Either way, the Plaintiffs case can still take years even with overwhelming evidence, believe me, I know! 🙄

    I really think if there is a good intention and minus the concern of money then I think passion will move you forward! Integrity is important as well as accepting reality.

    That's the way it should be - the lawyer doesn't get paid until there is a result. That is not my experience with too many attorneys that get a retainer and then have an hourly rate - no skin in the game.

      Your attorney may be able to assist you with some expert witness fees attached to your treatment.

    Please sir please answer this question for me. If it's been two months and the respondent hasn't agreed to mediation with the eeoc yet but you ask your attorney to send another demand slightly lower then the last by $20,000 should the attorney take that new lower amount to the opposing counsel? My attorney said to me we can discuss it next month and I am confused to be honest. The thing that confuses me if my attorney said he valued the case at $50,000 but I was sticking to $70,000 and the employer said no. I am now wanting to drop my demand to $50,000 but he does not seem eager to send that to the employer any reason why this my be?

    If an attorney sends a demand letter after depositions that went well for the plaintiff's, should the demand ask for a different number from the interrogatories , what would cause the settlement number in interrogatories to, be more or less money on a demand letter ?

    How about the two words most used by attorneys....BILLABLE HOURS?

    • @JobAttorney
      @JobAttorney  Рік тому

      Well defense attorneys sure, but hopefully not too many plaintiffs' side attorneys are billing by the hour.

    What if opposing counsel was dragging there feet at the beginning and now they are pushing for a quick ending to the case. It's been over 2 years now in this process. Had a settlement mediation conference and it's been postponed etc. Now my counsel has withdrawn from the case. And employer attorneys are at the door step demanding this and trying to do dispositions on me without rep.
