Oh my god, I NEED this game. I played the original on the PC when I was just a kid. No other Dinosaur game has lived up to the feelings that the original gave me, and this game looks like it will be a staple in my gaming life. I know I can not be alone when I say that people want this game to happen, and if I were able to donate to the Kickstarter I would have, but I had no idea it existed. Please finish this game, I and the rest of the hardcore fans of this series are anxious for another Carnivores. I can not wait for the beta, and I will gladly participate in it. It would be a dream come true to play this game.

They should add a "capture live" mode to the game in which you can set traps for small animals like Archaeopteryx or Microraptor. Those would be like side missions, you set your trap and go about your business hunting dinos, and at the end of the main mission you go and check your traps to see if you caught anything. There would be many types of traps suitable for different species.
Hi Guys, we are actively working on Carnivores: Reborn and will be releasing the Beta version of the game in February on Steam. There have been many improvements and additions to the game and we think you're going to like it.

Digital Dreams Entertainment LLC Only 5 more days! AAAAAaaaaahhhhhh can't wait! The classic Carnivores was the very first video game I actually ever played in my life! I will never forget it! I remember when the T-Rex used to scared the shit out of me!
This is sweet. I remember the first Carnivores from 1998. I'd always enjoyed walking through prehistoric world hunting creatures ten times my size. But I was always scare of hunting carnivores. Especially the T-rex. I really hope to see this game.
This made me cry. I used to play this all the time as a kid. It was my escape. REBORN!

This music is absolutely superb.
The trailer is very impressive but I have a few early suggestions:
1, Have more flying creatures caressing the sky in the background. This will give the impression of an abundance of life and a sense of grace.
2, The butterflies are an example of my next suggestion. Some more flying insects like flies mosquitoes or some dinosaur equivalent would make it even more atmospheric.
3, Snakes and small lizards running about would also add more of a sense of life about.
You don't have to have only stuff you can shoot or hunt for points - giving the sense of being surrounded by ancient wildlife would really put yourself in the zone.
Having smaller creatures flee in all directions when you fire a shot or have a big dinosaur move close to them would really make it appear more realistic.
Some big obstacles to consider would be path finding and collision detection of dinosaurs when dealing with rocks and trees.

I've been playing this game now for 2 days and love every minute of it. My only further suggestion or wish would be to have more challenging dinosaurs to hunt :D

Holy shit I still remember playing the original carnivores when I was young lad. What ever you do, do not piss off the TREX. It will hunt you down to the end of the earth.
I think if the kickstarter had reached its goal this game could be one of the best dinosaur hunting games of the century
Was kinda hoping for a tribute to Turok, but this still looks good in its own way.
One of the first game series i played was carnivores i played every single game, the mobile ports also and i loved them all, so this is really exciting for me and looking at the trailer it looks like a good game. Hope it has a similar atmosphere as the first games. Can't wait to play it.
Looking good, I will keep my eye on this one. One thing I'd love to see would be some extra movement in the dino skin. I think we are all fairly used to textured models moving well with decent rigs and mocap but you never really see that extra movement that brings animals to life. The wobbling skin as a foot stomps down. The massive stomach swaying as the dino walks. We see that in film and I'm sure its expensive to build muscle systems over the model tigs both in money and compute power but it would be awesome to see.

You shoud consider updating your Dinosaurs to modern standards of how we think they looked. Many paleontologists agree now that feathers were probably more prominent on many.

Cant wait! Oh yeah I have a suggestion/idea. How about the ability to customize your hunter in appearance? Like Gender/color/gear? I know this isnt the sims, but I think it would be a good idea and give the game a little more personalization.
I have two things to ask
1) please make the trexes mouth actually open and 2) add More Dinosaurs there are only 8 that I have seen so far
I noticed in another trailer when someone was looking at the dinos, it would show where to hit them by showing the heart and lungs, is that going to be in the game? it kind of makes it easy to kill the dinos, also only 3 guns are shown, otherwise looks good and can't wait to get into the game.

Damn! That was one of my favorite games when I was young (I'm now 26). Hopefuly they will be able to break threes when charging at you. I like how so far it seems like a nice remake, not some cheap sh*t with horrible graphics.

So Kickstarter failed...what now? I was really looking forward to this; bought into The Stomping Land, but production is taking a while, and frankly - the game is a different kind of dinosaur game.
***** Yeah, he came back eventually, and released some shite content to "make up for it", but then disappeared again after promising some content on Thanksgiving. Haven't heard from him since. Don't even think about buying into it, it's definitely a train wreck.

Well this kinda sucks, this trailer is exactly the same as Carnivores HD, the exact same game, just for the PS3. I was hoping they would make this game for XBOX 360. That would really boost sales.

Hi John - yes, we are using game assets from the PS3 version but much work has been done to improve it gameplay and production values from the PS3 version. We will also be adding new content if we can achieve our Kickstarter goals. So while the PS3 version has it's issue that was developed by Vogster Online. We are NOT Vogster. We are a different company who licensed assets and are hoping to release a much improved version but you guys will be the judge of that.

John Vazquez Honestly though this is about the best your going to get for dinosaur games even with the ps3 one since Jurassic Park doesn't seem to be coming out with anything anytime soon, I haven't heard anything on to many more dinosaur games like Turok Sequels, Jurassic The Hunted sequels, etc. and those are about the most recent good dinosaur games they've had. This one looks awesome though, the reborn one
