i'd rather hear you tell the stories than any guide...I never knew the story behind Mary in the nursery rhyme either! Wow...looking forward to the next video..Thanks for taking us to see and learn the history .
I love listening to your stories just think how much knowledge you will have accumulated in your brains. When you have finished your tour you two will be able to go on Mastermind lol better? another great video.
Love your videos. I keep checking to see if you have uploaded a new one. So much history about my family's home land, and you have such an entertaining personality to tell it. You best watch out though, one of these days Mazzie just might thump you on your noggin😄 cheers from the USA, and keep on trolling
Here in Hawaii if the King or Queen didn't like you they just threw you into a volcano, or ate you. They so like to deny they ate Captain Cook too, but the truth is the Hawaiians were used to eating humans that ate yummy stuff. One bite of that scurvy ridden, stringy English sea captain, and they denied they ever ate him. Much like me accidentally eating liver once. The memory still haunts me. LOL
That will be really cool. I have always wanted to hear about him from other than the Hawaiian perspective, or the American high school textbook perspective. I'll bet you have some good nuggets of information on him. Here on the Big Island they have put up a monument in his honor, but still lie like a rug about eating him. They don't want the tourists to ever think they could do such a thing. It is sort of the same thing the American Indians now try to propound. Why they never hurt a soul and their tomahawks were all made of rubber. I hate revisionist historians. If someone did something why sugar coat it?! I didn't do it, so why should I be offended by what someone chose to do 200 or more years ago, even if they may be my ancestor?! This is why I so enjoy your stuff. You tell it like it is, but in the most hilarious way possible, without bias or prejudice. You both rock!!!
Really interesting again Dan and Mazzy. Makes you wonder if the education authorities/teachers knew the truth behind these nursery rhymes when they taught them to us at school/nursery.?
There is a story behind every nursery rhyme. Like ring a ring a roses is the symptoms of a decease. Can't remember the name of it. Really enjoying the videos, thanks. X
Another great walk and another great tour through history. However that was a cheap shot at the end, but so like a man. I don't see how Mazzy puts up with you Dan?! LOL I think a better poem for Mary would be the following, but no doubt if anyone had dared at the time, they would have been roasted too. Mary with a thirst for heat, burned fair maidens up like meat. Then she said with humor quaint, "This fires so hot it makes me faint." Sad story.
We remember Bloody Mary with a true vengeance down here in Sussex...we respect the protestant martyrs every November 5th... in Lewes especially but other places too...check it out...we burn the pope...and anyone else who upsets us...we're pretty democratic down here.
Dan, If you are talking about Rouen, France, you might be interested to know that is where Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) was burned at the stake by the English.
The Sarah Lloyd story reminded me of a Margaret Atwood novel. Alias Grace. Based on a true story. Involving a murder. Good read. I preferred it to The Handmaid's Tale, any day! 😜
Dan what do you think is better, Restoring old important ruins or trying to preserve them as they are? I only ask because the place where you were in this video looks to have been changed significantly by building relatively modern structures inside the ruins? Im from Australia and you get shot for even thinking about messing around with heritage stuff here.
Mazzie is SO special...love her to bits... Dave PS I hope someone among those uncivilised prats westpond with an ounce of decency grants Mr Gosnald the respect he deserves and restores him to his christian burial...but this is Murica under Trump, so I doubt he'll get it...
Please don't forget to like, comment & subscribe. Thank you :-) x

I will be telling a detailed life of Captain Cook at some time in the future. Ive had it planned for a year but never got around to it.

You learn something new every day
Ken U.K.
Could it be that Bloody Mary's "garden" was the graveyard rather than her truncated lineage? Enjoying the tour! Thank you.
you don't half get some stick, Mazzy, great vid.
Good video
Thanks

Mary with a thirst for heat, burned fair maidens up like meat.

She loves me because I do all the cooking and cleaning and washing and scrubbing and ironing and.....ok, I dont know either.

Alright, Dan...you better go get Mazzy a bundle of those daffodils for putting up with your shenanigans!!!
Another very interesting video, I know the editing is time consuming 5 *****
Great job interesting to no why they removed all the headstones
Is it just me or does Mary look scary mean in her picture?! Gore a person could die of fright seeing her coming. She was a proper fanatic she was.
Yes she looked evil.
We remember Bloody Mary with a true vengeance down here in Sussex...we respect the protestant martyrs every November 5th... in Lewes especially but other places too...check it out...we burn the pope...and anyone else who upsets us...we're pretty democratic down here.
Nice video what’s with the one dislike.?
It would only let me dislike it once.
Sorry I just don't comment. I like your videos and have watched your videos for as long as you have been on.
Funny enough turns out i was Sarah Lloyd in my past life. Long and strange story but loving the videos 👍
very strange.
The American band called the 10000 Maniacs was founded in Jamestown.
Dan, If you are talking about Rouen, France, you might be interested to know that is where Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) was burned at the stake by the English.
Aww! Dan! That was mean! Lol! Mazzy's sweet!! You know you lover her!! Just admit it and get on with it! Lol! 😋💟
The Sarah Lloyd story reminded me of a Margaret Atwood novel. Alias Grace. Based on a true story. Involving a murder. Good read. I preferred it to The Handmaid's Tale, any day! 😜
Dan I hope you jest! Some one is going to sleep in the dog house.
Thomas Clarkson has a statue/memorial in Wisbech
We still have to visit Wisbech but we will.
Dan what do you think is better, Restoring old important ruins or trying to preserve them as they are? I only ask because the place where you were in this video looks to have been changed significantly by building relatively modern structures inside the ruins? Im from Australia and you get shot for even thinking about messing around with heritage stuff here.
them houses had been built into the abbey ruins hundreds of years ago. Its not something that would happen nowadays.
Yeah, thats why I said "relatively modern", compared to the ruins.
MAYBE SARAH WAS PSYCHO SARAH AND HER BOYFRIEND DID NOT DO ANY OF IT .
It seems that Americans couldn't be bothered to come up with their own nursery rhymes, I feel like we just used tried and true English ones.
Bad Bad Dan! Kiss and make up. A very good series. Keep at it.
Liked but haven't commented yet...
Hang on...
It’s all right mazzys disliked it to lol
Like :-)
