India's Sons is a feature length documentary film throwing light on lives that have been destroyed because of false accusations of rape. From an 18 year old who spent 5 years in prison before being honorably acquitted to a 70 year old who took his own life because of mere statements ruining his goodwill of years; From an activist who saved animals but got falsely accused of ravishing a woman to an IPS officer who became a victim of a false accusation due to politics; From a man who was one of the several men accused of rape on promise of marriage by the same woman to a man who got falsely accused of gangrape twice by the same woman, the film exposes deep flaws in the system, absolute disregard of rights of one gender in order to protect the other, unbelievable lies that are told with elan in courts and hopelessness that looms over people who are falsely accused. It's a first person account of men and families who bore the brunt of being called a rapist and a rapists family, only to be eventually honorably acquitted of the said crime after years of trial on basis of credible evidence proving beyond doubt that they were falsely accused. It’s a first person account of those whose gender became their biggest curse. It’s a story of those who are being treated as collateral damages - It’s a tale of the false rape case survivors - India’s Sons!
The film brings out voices that matter, facts that are shocking and tales that are moving. The documentary aims to bring to the fore an issue that poses a big threat to sanctity and strength of the rape laws. It makes a case that false rape cases aren't just a threat to men who suffer false accusations but also women who actually suffer trauma of rape. Not all of the cases are free loaders, Deepikaji. A BPD or NPD woman would shout at and cheat on her husband/partner regularly. And, if he catches or senses that cheating, and wants to end the toxic relationship, the BPD/NPD woman would try to restore the relationship. If that doesn't work, she would resort to threats and false charges. If an out of court settlement is done, she would lay dormant for some time, and come back again with fresh charges. Sad part is, in India I have never seen open discussion or awareness on this psychiatric condition of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Even for the psychiatrist it is not that easy to diagnose, as the patient does her best to conceal her symptoms. The suffering partner, on the other hand gets a mental scar that stays with him forever.

Because of such cases, people's ignorance that women can do no wrong and men are always the danger is also beginning to diminish day by day, which will result in less and less biased judgements and more fair ones. The more people see such cases, the more they realize that women are not the goddesses they believed they are, and are just like men.

My brother suffered the same and now he is aquit from the High Court but the punishment he got in five years is taunts from family, lost his grade A jobs, lost his prestige, mentally tortured his family, financially weak now because huge money has spent on lawyers, travelling, files, etc.
He, his parents and sisters suffered a lot, he has done his graduation from IITs, and after case he placed in various prestigious companies but disqualified because of this fake rape case but now he is free but still struggling to get job first and settle in his life.

I'm a woman and I'm strictly against all the prejudices and violences that happen towards men. Human is a human irrespective of the gender. There are many men who are falsely accused of harassment. India's legal system need renovation and flexibility for God's sake.

Millions of women are suffering in the hands of men. I am not saying all men, but "most" men. There is not a single women in this planet who hasn't had any kind of abuse from men. My estranged wife has filed a false 498a case on me and my family. Going aorund courts since almost a year, with no closure in sight :( Indian Judicial system needs to wake up, minimum due diligence of validating the FIR details should be done. These kind of cases kill the soul of the family. She did all of this just because I filed for a divorce because her psychological and physical violence had reached a peak.

A woman tried damaging my name in one of my previous companies just to get team lead position and earn money in the name of harassment. I faced nightmares and had to resign despite not doing anything.(even though there was zero proof against me). when I met one of my previous colleagues of the same company after three years , they told me that she did the same thing to three other men in her defence. I understand your point, but how are we certain that your father is innocent? Given the high incidence of such cases in India, it's possible to have misunderstandings, as shown in the video. However, that doesn't automatically mean every accusation is false, including in your father's case.

This happens even in married situations. They depict men as vulgar predator along with false dowry and domestic violence by wife. That's why supreme court passed order not to arrest husband's without preliminary investigation. Earlier it used to be arrest first and investigate.
Whole reason I've completely stopped talking to women, I used to work in tech sector, never spoke to women at workplace about anything else but work. Never met them outside office. Few years later, I started my own company, didn't hire any females. Seriously, it's not worth the risk. One wrong accusation and your whole life is ruined.

Friend of mine went to india to get married and started talking to a girl before going there and she kept brining up money so he canceled the engagement and she accused him of rape, at the end it was all about money even police had stake in it. Felt bad for him.

After complaining against them to commissioner and other IPS officers, the local police charged a 107/116 crpc against me and my father.
