- WE ARE BACK! The TTD Team return for our 2nd season of the TableTennisDaily Super League as we attempt to retain our title!
This is by far our most dramatic season yet and episode 1 is no exception as we take on the formidable eBaTT team. They are lead by England International Chris Doran and are out for revenge after our victory over them last season! Episode 2 drops next Friday!

Doran is a very smart player. I’ve seen him play a few times…may not have the glamourous whip or umairs backhand but is controlled, good placement, and good backhand.
Lots of local Bath support in the crowd and pleased for my old team mate getting his shirt! Loved seeing Doran playing too!
I'm not kidding, these matches are even better than some international matches!

WOW...firstly , so glad to finally see the start of season 2. I appreciate the editing team have been working hard in the background (unsung heroes) and to be fair the wait was sooooo Worth it. Congrats to Ebatt, an unexpected win there. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I would have put Beast in however I wouldn't like to guess who he would replace. Big up to all involved and looking forward t0 the next episode..... FOR THE LEGACY!

Great to see the TTD team back as it's been so long. Judging from this first episode it seems its going to be more of a challenging season, as other teams in the league have improved. It will be interesting to see how it plays out this season.......Good Luck Guys!!!
Great competition! I enjoyed seeing the highlights. I also had a suggestion: since TTD tries to help teach about different aspects of TT, what do you think about including a player strengths and weaknesses analysis, and a tactics analysis? For example, "player x uses blade____ and rubber ____ because he is strong in the area of _____. His main strengths are __________ and __________, but he struggles with __________." Then for tactical analysis, something like "he's going to try to focus on 3rd ball/ 5th ball attacks" or "he's going to rely on his serves" or "he's going to use spinny loops to set himself up" etc. Finally for match analysis, something like "Doran was initially overrun by Captain's whip, so he changed his tactics and played ________ to help mitigate the whip."
This is the sort of analysis that we can't catch very well in highlights, but is helpful in learning to be better players.

Good match. I know you guys lost but this is what we want to see - you playing against quality players, which is far more entertaining that seeing you beat teams easily. Doran is quality, I thought the Captain and Tom did well to get as close as they did. I presume Tom has played him a number of times in the past when they used to play British League and Chris knew what he was getting there, but the Captain clearly caught him off guard with those forehand bombs. The wily old fox came up with a plan to deal with them though 🙂
Myself and Captain have played him many times over the years as we're all very close in age. We've both actually got pretty good records against Doran but of course he's a strong player!
@@tommaynard8101 Frog took me out cadet masters(now national cup) all those years ago cost me 2nd place came 4th on count back 18 years ago where does the time go. Frog is so hard to hit through and captain hits bombs 💣 both taken me out before was great to play them again.

Captain has a good forehand, but its also his weakness. He rarely has an answer back after.
He also walks all the way around just to do the forehand, leaving 2/3rds of the table wide open. Hes never expecting it back, the weakness.

Table tennis always looks so damn easy especially looking at players like Doran but then you actually get to play against someone who knows what he does and magically can't hit a single ball anymore ....
I myself only managed up to the 9th league (placed~ 10.000) which was very impressive for me already, recently I played against someone who did paly 5th highest league in our Country before and damn first set 1:11 .... after that I kinda started getting the grip and made lots of frustrated attacks getting at least 5 points the other two sets but yeah I lost so badly and didn't even understand why ... I just couldn't properly hit the ball, guess he did some kind of Spin that I didn't noticed that destroyed my whole game making me always hit the returning ball completely wrong.
Made me look like some rather bad beginner ^^V but yeah it looks so easy....
P.S. could you tell me which Balls you are using ? I still sometimes notice very big differences between differend brands.

The Dane and the beast are the two strongest players for me I’m guessing Dane can’t be used in this league as he’s not British but would be sick if j can get him, idk how beast was benched though
This isn't British league, it's TTDs league so it's up to them who's allowed to play. I assume the Dane isn't here because he's in Denmark
Very close match, you may have lost but you still played very well overall. I know the next match will be a victory!
Ferguson: You should NEVER celebrate those edge-points, mate. Not only is it poor sportsmanship, it's also bad karma.
Also Ferguson: When going up against someone that plays with a slower blade, like Tom, you can help yourself a lot by serving long every time. For you to win you need to get in your attacks, even if they're counterattacks, and you need to avoid having to push and back off. So, since this is the case, serving long will make it so they can't send in pushes. Another thing you can do is push long, low, and flat whenever you do have to push. Try to do that push right underneath them too, meaning right in the centre of their body and as deep as possible. NEVER worry about the underspin on it either. And when you do this, DO NOT back off a bunch. Stay close enough to where it feels uncomfortable.
Hope it helps
