    Thanks a lot; for such a brief review. My mother is now under a health insurance policy(group plan) since 2019 under HDFC ERGO and Bandhan bank, purchased through Bandhan bank. Now their tie up is over, so the existing policy could not be renewed any more. She is now 65 years old suffering from BP, cholesterol and hypothyroidism. HDFC ERGO said that group plan can not be migrated. Now according to the rule 11 of IRDAI, migration of plan in indemnity policies, said plan can be migrated to HDFC ERGO retail plan(in the same insurance company).? Please guide me. Thanks in advance

    5 years ka Moratorium period toh 1 April 2024 se hi applicable ho chuka hai as per IRDAI. But I have purchased a policy this month, usme 8 years h moratorium period. What can I do now? Company customer care wale bol rahe h ki abhi koi update nahi h.

    Add : agar ombudsman ke award ko timely company honoured nahi krti to per day 5,000/- ki penalty insured ko as a compensation deni padegi... Kindly refer to page 10 clause 20 of the said master circular....

    Hi...the 13th point is live now right? As I have taken 3 years HI one time but i have asthma but it has been a decade now i am not having any issues with asthma but i have not mentioned the same in policy but now if i am with company more than 5 years now it can now easily get covered with the same disease if something happened right???

    Regarding point 13 you have covered in the video which mentions that Policy / Claim cannot be contested after 60 months of continuation. But what if a policy-holder has migrated to a different plan within the same insurance company ? OR what if the policyholder has ported to a different insurance company ? - will this clause still hold true?

    Helth insurance policy done by bank customer (bank group) can be migrated within the same company, either on an individual or floater basis, please
    clarity.

    hello…some companies are providing protection for list 1 for non medical items.list 2,3 and 4 are charges which are subsumed to be part of room ,diagnostic procedure treatment etc.does it means they are covered automatically and only we need list 1 add on cover

      Few companies are covering list 1 and few are covering list 1,2,3,4 .
      The claim is paid out accordingly.

      NCB ,ay not be transferred currently, these rules shall be applicable from 31st july.
      You may check with New India for better clarity.

There is also news about withdrawal of this policy and I'm not sure if they just stopped issuing a new policy or actual withdrawal where the policy holder has to migrate to another policy. I thought this might be a good topic if the news about withdrawal is true

    IRDAI is said to be formed for the protection of consumers right or heard in your video here that insurance companies adhere to follow the rules and regulations of the IRDAI but in practical their motive is just opposite of it. They do not take action against the fraudulent companies because they are highly obliged by them. I can provide ample proof for it.

      As per the clause, After the expiry of Moratorium Period no health insurance claim shall be contestable except for proven fraud and permanent exclusions specified in the policy.
      However, not advisable to buy policy on non disclosure

    Still there is a grey area about pre existing disease, if someone intentionally didn't mention about the disease, and claim after 5 yrs, who is responsible or find out the problem????

      It is a duty of policyholder to disclose the pre existing conditions that they are aware of

    Your first point itself is false.
    We can underwrite only those cases which are risks that can be insured.
    Certain conditions like: existing cancer patients or patients with cancer history even though treated, heart conditions, end liver stage or kidney stage, aids etc. are still never accepted in any circumstances.
    Insurance is a business not an NGO.

Aur SBI ka arogya plus plan Jo tha lifetime same premium o hum sabne leliya aur kayi log doosri company SBI me port Kiya kyunki same premium lifetime hai karke laikin ab o withdraw kardiya hai aur renew bhi nahi ho Raha hai , o kehte Hain ki SBI ka super insurance plan me hi migrate karna padhega Jo k one is to trible premium aata hai..aur hum doosri company me bhi port nahi karsakte agar koi major ya critical disease hota hai to it's cheating to customer, Jo sale karte waqt kahata ki life time same premium aur lifetime renewal bolke
    IRDAI ko strict action Lena hoga k koi Bhi company apna Plan agar withdrawal karti hai to bhi existing customers ko o plan renewal k liye Dena padhega, kyunki customer plan benefits dekhke insurance kharidta hai aur baad me o plan withdrawal kardete hain to use Kya hai

    Madam ...13 point yani moratorium period ko leke ek sawal hai....agar kisi ne policy lete waqt alocohol ka nhi bataya....aur baad me wo peene laga aur uski policy ko chalte hue 5 saal se zyada ho gye ho...aur agar 5 saal ke baad koi claim aata hai , ...like LIVER CIRRHOSIS ya kidney se related bimari ka...aur blood ya urine me alcohol milti hai, ya agar wo drink karne ke 72 hrs baad hospital me admit hua to kya use claim milega....aapne kaha ki 60 mahino ke baad insurance company claim ko kisi bhi ground par deny nhi kar sakti ..kya ye thik hai.....PLEASE MADAM ANSWER ZAROOR KIJIYE.

      The claim can be denied because of the self infliction clause

    hello…some companies are providing protection for list 1 for non medical items.list 2,3 and 4 are charges which are subsumed to be part of room ,diagnostic procedure treatment etc.does it means they are covered automatically and only we need list 1 add on cover

      Few companies are covering list 1 and few are covering list 1,2,3,4 .
      The claim is paid out accordingly.
