I highly recommend you get one of the cheap harbor freight portable metal cutting bandsaws. I have had mine for 4 years. Almost no sparks. I even cut through a railroad track with it. You build a stand for it and it's easy to move your small pieces around to cut. I love mine
Love your no-frills approach. Simple and useful. I don't have a torch for brazing (at least, not yet). When I get around to imitating your design, I may skip the ring-pulls and just add knobs to my cabinet doors, using essentially the same closure mechanism. Because it works! I already have some aluminum flat bar which I may use it instead of steel since it's easy to work and won't rust.
I'm so embarrassed. I've been working with wood since 1976 and you know I never thought of taking the blade loose to cut holes with the coping saw. I never thought of it. 😮
First I/ve seen of you. Straight up, no fancy schmanzy BS. Superb/ Thanks!
Thanks for watching Peter! More on the way.
My grandfather made locks like these in his work shop. They work great Thanks T it brought up some great memories
Thanks Bradley. I also had a grandfather that I admire as well. Great memories!
