I build things and fix things. I work alone. You'll see house building, woodworking, metal working, fixing a toaster or a lawnmower, or a tractor, welding...lot's of things I do with my hands. I hate to call an electrician or a plumber or a mechanic...I try to do it myself first. You never know what's coming next...but it'll be interesting to watch! I promise. Please subscribe, ring the bell to get notified of new posts! See ya soon!

I'm making my new workbench and just had the same idea (pipe clamp) but wasn't sure where to begin. Thanks for sharing it'll help a lot.
Thanks for watching!
I found a busted up Craftsman level ( in Canada), much like yours. The tools were guaranteed for life at Canadian Tire. Brought the dead one in, they gave me a new one of the best quality.
Cool story!! Thanks for watching Zoe!
I enjoy cleaning up old tools mainly woodwork related. Nice find though T and they look great once again
Thanks Man!
You ever try a blacksmith finish on tools. It is more durable than bluing
Is that heat to 450 and plunge in oil?
@@onedudeonehammer temperature doesn't have to be exact but yes that's it. Doesn't have to be oil, I often use bee's wax to do it. I showed a couple of young guys how to chase the colors when hardening some chisels we had made. I couldn't believe they had never heard of doing that. Next thing I know they are turning the little leaf key fob's we made blue. You never know what someone missed in their education... LOL... PS...I went to the grocery store this morning and apparently bumped my head on the lift gate of the car. I got home okay but I don't remember how I got home. Blood running down my face gave my wife a real scare. I suppose we need to be more careful as we get older.
Thanks for the info Will! Take care of yourself man!
Good to hear from you again
I was always told to flip the level end for end to check that it's level or plumb only need to check one bubble
🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤣🤣😂😂👎👎👎👎bellend
Stabila is my go to level there reliable and last a life time. I love your grandfathers surveyors level that looks beautiful.
Yeah, that surveyor’s level is something! Thanks for watching, Bradley!
The flea can be a good place for some fine tools that need a little attention. Nice job!
@@thomasbrubaker4627 thanks man. I’ve found some of my best old tools at the flea!
How do you know that triangle is still 45 degrees?😊
It doesn’t change….
Nice pice of work 👍

Holy shit. That was right on the money. Nice work T.
GOOD STUFF DUDE ! What u think of the 400 with the magnesium piston?
You’re way ahead of me man. I don’t know it. Thanks for watching , Gunter!!
is that really already ready for next winter? Is it so dry / fast drying type of wood? I need to dry our firewood (birch, pine etc norhtern stuff) at least a year, 2 or more is preferable to get good firewood. Obviously chopping it really small peaces help if youre in a hurry.
Nope, just some future winter. Lol
Great job landing that one! It would be good to see you make something out of some of the wood other than firewood.
Will do, Thomas!
That was very well done, but Brother I think you work too hard. I would have taken some of my wife's money and paid for someone to come cut it down. I'd feign a sore back or something. In fact where did I put the Advil?
You are smarter than me!

Good to see you again. Have a great father's day

Excellent video . Well done.
Thanks for watching , JB!!
Nice job man!
Thanks for watching!!
Breathing pretty hard there gramps. Didnt think you were gonna make to the end of the video
Thanks for watching!
T, you certainly do come up with some cool stuff!
video starts at 1:16
I've never seen one of these, and as a kid I used to work on a farm harvesting green beans. Also, I'm pretty sure that you were the only person in the world right now to actually repair a Green Bean Slicer!
I believe I am, and covet that honor.
Gee, I wonder why this never took off lol
Hahahahahaha!!!🤣
My mum used one of those for years thanks T
Get out! Really? Thanks for watching Bradley!
I never knew that was a thing
Yeah. A lot of over engineering to cut a green bean. 😬
I have that same Speedex wire stripper for 50 years, I tried different newer models but this Speedex performs better in most cases.
I haven’t had mine for that long, but I think it the best as well. Thanks for tuning in, Gaston!
I just dont understand the holes
The steel dust settles in the holes and stays out of the way and doesn’t muck up the process. Can’t sharpen a small chisel though as it catches in the holes. Thanks for watching ,Snap!
That makes me a little sad. Simply because back when those were new they probably weren't fancy or expensive. They just made things to last. They will probably last forever. If you bought a set new you would be lucky to get 5 years out of them. That is the kind of stuff I love to grab at garage sales.
I’m with you !!!
They must have got it right they still make those kind of strippers today just not the same quality and I don’t think they would last as long as yours have there mostly plastic. Thanks T
Yeah, you’re right not as good quality now days. Thanks for watching, man!
I used to think the term "Cool Old Strippers" meant something else. I stand corrected.
Glad we straightened that out.
Genius. Nice cheap way to make a vice... I'm gonna do this.. Thanks for making the time to put this out.
Thanks for watching Hustle!
nice little organic project there!
Thanks man! It sorta did itself.
I’m keen to see its progress in the next few months thanks for posting T
@bradleytuckwell4881 I’ll continue the progress photos. Thanks Bradley!
Thank you sir

You taught me something today. I never thought you could have to much flux for soldering. Now I can see why certain joints I have made in the past didn't turn out so well. Thanks T!
Thanks for watching Matthew!
I didn’t know there where so many kinds of soldiers that was interesting to watch thanks for the schooling
Thanks Bradley for watching… I didn’t even cover silver solder. LOL
Good to see you again
I love these locks. Great form and function.
Whoa!! Thanks Victor!
@@onedudeonehammer A video on braising please :) I think it’s time I come for a visit.
@victorlaporte7090 will do Sir…always here!
Hold the butter, I want jam on mine. Now let's have some toast before it's toast again.
Strawberry?
Good job. I'll take a couple of slices with lots of butter!
Thanks, Danny!
Love your discovery of the crumb trays. How many times have I done something like that; you're just honest enough to admit it.
Hey Meat! Stuff like that happens to me all the time. LOL
Nice quick fix and ready for another few years of toasting. I still think your antique toaster will out last your modern one though
You are correct, sir.
Take a piece of heavy gauge solid wire bent to the configuration of your curved cut and place it under the glass.
Brilliant! Thanks William!
@@onedudeonehammer You're welcome. I've got a tool exactly like the one you're showing. Maybe not in quite as good as shape but still works....kinda. 👍🍻
Oh, And cool video about the sharpening tool too... ;-)
Hello T. In the opening of this video there is a board on your wall in the background that holds your hammers. It's pretty self explanatory as far as it's construction and purpose. However, I have a question. The silhouette of the hammer in the empty place looks like it was spray painted (at least it does to me in the video anyway). I know, this is not a deep and thoughtful, question but I am always curious about how different folks go about things like this. Me? I would trace each tool and then try to 'paint within the lines' but other folks have done cardboard templates or even over-spray the actual tool in place on the holder with a rattle can of paint (and then clean the tool or something?). Anyway, how did you make those silhouettes?
Hey Matthew! I do what you do, trace tool with pencil, paint with brush. Thanks for your attention to detail! Here’s a link if you want more. ua-cam.com/video/xPhjX6QPsOQ/v-deo.htmlsi=MZDg89IuQoXJOH7R
I wish you guys would blur the bits where you grind the blades blunt. And play happy music too. Because those parts of 'sharpening vids' make me cringe! 😬
Hahaha! Great idea Jones.
That was high tech, back in a low tech world.
You are so right Alan! Thanks for watching!

Brilliant, HF 3/4" pipe clamps are $7. Heavy duty bench wood vise of similar diameter +$300 and wouldnt match my reclaimed wood workbench ;D
