Hi I seen ur videos question I cant leave my ground its cement is it ok if I but bricks under the sticks to level my pool will that damage my pool plz help
@@vanessaprieto3749 I did use bricks this year, the problem is, it raises up the legs a bit, also be careful the bricks dont touch or push into the pool. I have recent videos if you want to look.
Oh, I thought my pool was off level LOL I laughed hard at your pool, but it makes me so much relieved about mine! Thank you so much for this video, it's a GEM!
I've probably watched all the videos about above-ground pools and this is the most inspirational video I've come across so far. (I watched both parts) . Thanks a lot for sharing. I think you did a great job to get your kids and yourself a pool to swim, which is something many of us out there can neither afford, nor have the willpower to do. Keep up the great work.Best wishes from Cartagena,Colombia.
Wow thank you! It has been a journey, full of frustration and disappointment. This year we finally got the pool level after three tries and much arguing with my husband :) there are many things to spend hard earned money on, this is very worth the cost. Most of the cost is actually effort and work. Thank you for the sweet comment. Have a good day and one love.
I feel the same way. Ugh it’s so much work. Most of the year I’m totally over having a pool but in mid summer when family and friends come over and the pool is the central hub then I’m like yeah it’s worth it.
Right! Kids getting outside and exercising too. Mine need it. It's too hot to move outside otherwise. It's like no other the humidity and im from Hawaii so..I know humid.
Happy Farms, "Pool is laying on the ground...but It's Fine!" LMBO I was so worried about my 1.5 inch off level pool. Thanks this is going to help me sleep better at night. Thanks for the vid.
You can remove the air from the vacuum hose by putting one end of the hose over the return jet and it fills with water while pushing the air out. but the attachment that comes with the skimmer that goes on the suction hole you can put the vacuum hose on that and it will hold on while your vacuuming
Hy, again me, I just want to say something about pump suction. In last video I saw there's a lot of air in the pump basket. I don't remember have this pump an air relief od doesn't. Anyway, when your pump is off and your valves are open, just unscrew the pump basket lid, again, just a little and let the air comes out. When the water start leaking out (from the lid of pump basket), screw it (hand tighten only) so there's no much air in the system. Then you're ready for action. P.s. A little bubles in pump basket is normal, but when there is an half of pre-filter housinf filled with air, the suction of the pump isn't on maximun
We slapped our pool up and didn’t even try to level the ground. Ours came out pretty good. If one pole was to high we’d dig down and put the pole on a piece of cinder block.
Thanks for the update! We drained our pool a week ago, and can’t wait to get it up and running again! It was off 5” and we decided to try and level it. Unfortunately it’s been raining nonstop and the ground is a muddy mess😂
Good idea to drain. I think you can easily make it worse trying to "fix" that's a lot of water weight to "Jack up" in my opinion. I have considered relocating it all together next year, so frustrating. Thx for watching and subbing!
I have a smaller pool. It's only 8ft. 30in deep. I wish I would have gone bigger but being my 1st experience trying Dead Sea Salt without a converter, I wasn't confident enough to go big. Amazing results...using Only Dead Sea Salt in my Summer Waves skimmer filter pool. At 1st fill I added 7 lbs of dead sea salt. Each week I added a little more. Its been 2 1/2 months and I added 20lbs total (I switched filters a week after set up). After it rains I add 1/2 cup of baking soda. I use a dollar store push broom to keep the bottom and sides clean as needed or every other day just for good measure. The baking soda keeps away an algae but honestly the dead sea salt probably would on it's own. Sometimes I think it could be clearer and the Baking soda definitely takes care of that. I have not used any special equipment. I clean filter daily. When needed I use a debris catcher to get leaves out or little dead bugs. But really I'm blown away at these results. My suggestion is when the DS Salt is put into the pool put it in a clean bowl or bucket and then push it down till it sets on the bottom this way you can put your feet on the bottom while your salt is dissolving. I hope this helps someone. I will add that w the 8ft summer waves upsize the skimmer filter to next size up. That made a huge difference also. It's the 660 vs the 330 it came with. You can buy separately on Amazon. The 660 skimmer filter w GFCI system saftey switch was $50 the pure fine dead sea salt was $40. Baking soda $1 per box. I haven't needed anything else so my output for non chems was under 100. I put the pool up in June. This is more than half way thru Aug. 2022. I am so amazed, I need to do a video
Hy, your welcome. Now something about the leak, I recommend to take off the filter basket and remove whole this something grey where the basket is and than you will see 2 o-rings. Check them and you can also lubicate it or spray some silicone spray. Than re-connect the pre-filter housing and you're ready for turning on. If there's still a leak, check are all screws tighten securly. The screws are a few inches under the brown ionizator, if you know. The screws are silver so you must see it. Good luck, Sven from last comment for vertical salt cell
Thank you Sven! Yes I will try that and I will make a video to report back. Thank you for taking time to comment. I think fixing the seal will help my pump work better for sure. Have a good day!
You should use teflon tape next time around any threaded areas. At least three raps worth that'll give you a better seal next time and you shouldn't have any leaks. Also make sure to use all your gasket if any are missing.
Thank you for this, i just set mine up for the first time today and its about 3 inches off so this makes me feel a bit better lol I dont feel like draining it and moving it 😂
Great job. It is learning curve as we saw in your next video. And you all do this by yourself! I live in The NEtherlands at the same lattitude as Edmonton Canada. Omg we have tried so many ways to level our pool. I live in the desert out dirt is clay mix with sand . We are trying a new way. This time, we bought rubber mats from the outdoor brick area from Lowe's, hopefully it is better this time around . I want to convert to salt as well, but I'm not sure if it can do it. You are so smart. My brain has just started to get better after severe December 2020 Covid19 effects . Thanks for your video. God bless you 🙌🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hey, I’m glad you were getting better. ❤️🩹 it is definitely hard to level a pool. Mine is still almost 3 inches off level but it’s fine and great and I am off the saltwater. I have a new vevor pump. that is a one horsepower and very strong and actually affordable and I’m just using liquid chlorine in the pool and running the filter a lot. I wish you happy and thank you so much for commenting. Take care. God bless you.
It was fine other than me being nervous every time the kids were swimming in it. I definitely don’t recommend it and because I had salt water and the water was constantly running over the side this one rusted out after three seasons because it was saltwater.
I have literally stayed awake all night because we started filling our pool and noticed it was about 4-5 inches out of level. I got on the internet and the doom and gloom crew “over 2 inches” is dangerous. My wife and kid are getting in it today and I’ve been freaking out. The internet can kiss my ass
Aww. yeah that's not ideal....but...you can probably swim until the end of the season if it doesn't seem about to collapse...and fix it next season. That is what I did. only issue was mine was pouring water over one side often because of the off level ness and it eventually rusted because I have a salt pool.
I needed the laugh (re: unlevel pool) AND to see what it would be like if I just put the pool up without prepping the land because it's a lot of work ... I might just do like you did because it held fine. WTG and thank you :)
Hello, hahah glad I made you giggle. We all need that...and pools! HA! I will say this pool rusted out after 3 years because of the salt water flowing OVER the side. Take the time to level and USE CONCRETE PAVERS ($2) at walmart to support the legs. Take care and happy swimming!
Look at that durability! You don’t get that with Summer Waves. Had the 24x52” Summer Waves pool and on a perfectly level ground, the legs bent and the pool collapsed. Intex is the way to go. Great video!
haha oh no! sorry that happened to you. This lasted 3 seasons..after all the water running over the edge of the unlevel and salt..it rusted. This year we got a new intex XTR and I am using a zinc node to help with rusting..and spraying it off. It is only 2" off level this year. ha.
You can dig under those posts and pull them out you can also purchase tiles larger ones to dig out underneath your support poles and adjust you see where your poles the tops are faced outward and the bottom of those support poles are too close to pool liner you need to adjust that you can repair that easily...I have done it alone...You can do it too otherwise one hot day away from your liner ripping and your pump running dry and what a nightmare...JUST FIX IT WOMAN....lol

Ha! thanks this video inspired you! So my pool is all fixed up this year, only just under 2" off. I buried my pavers (bricks) to ground level to support the legs (since last season I messed up and they were poking into the pool liner. Just try to get level ground and make sure your poles do not sink. I have newer videos for set up too! thank you!
Ours is off by about 3 and a half inches. My husband is so nervous it will collapse but we only have a month left till we take it down so im not sure if it's worth taking down and fixing this year..
I ordered the 20x48 round pool - when I measure the ground outside for it 20ft - 20ft space really looks a whole lot larger then the actual pool in this video - The ground space you need from one side to the other 20ft?
Question about opening intex saltwater system; first time pool owner. I am having trouble maintaining chlorine levels after initIal setup (a few days ago). Might be CYA level but i have already added stabilizer. What is your recommended process / sequencing for the chlorinator? I have added chlorine shock at night a few times because there is no chlorine by the end of the day. So tests look okay in the morning but not at night. The kids are in pool during the day so i can’t run the chlorinator to generate chlorine until night. Should i be doing a long boost cycle for 24+ hours right after i add shock? At the same time. Or just a normal 3-6 hour chlorinator session? Very frustrating and the pool store guys (while actually very helpful) unfortunately don’t really know the intex system. Please help!
It is normal to be out of chlorine at the end of the day. Run filter at night. I run 7 hours. I run on boost if needed extra chlorine. I haven’t shocked at all. If I shock I run in free pump not boost because you already added chlorine. The filter (if a salt to chlorine converter, will turn salt to chlorine overnight. Sun is zapping chlorine Hope it helps!
Thanks again for your guidance on the chlorinator. We had a great summer with the pool. Took it down yesterday. Question about the sand filter - what is your recommendation around winter storage? Do you drain as much of the water as you can and then leave the tank as is? Or do you take out all of the sand after the season and clean everything?
Leveling is hard, If doing it again I would use a lazer level to be sure it is level. We have had to dig a lot to get it level. also make sure the top rails are level to each other. here is a video that I made this year, hope it helps. ua-cam.com/video/KuHuOTwVveY/v-deo.html
So did it hold up for the remainder of the season? Mine is a 3 inch difference from one side to another. I was hoping that I could just let my husband relax and enjoy it!
3 inches is not bad actually yes this one held up but because it was salt water it eventually damage the pool. I have a new pool now and it’s still 2 inches off level because my ground is just so unlevel and it’s fine.! Enjoy!
We have never had a pool and we just purchased a home with a salt water pool and know nothing about it. We are in the middle of winter here in Ohio. The pool is currently covered and has a thick sheet of ice on the cover. It has a deck around the pool. We know nothing about it and we have so many questions. Don't know where to start. Any suggestions?
Hi, yess watch videos! I have more videos about my salt water pool in my pool playlist. I am not the best guide on winter pools I empty mine every year and start over with new water. Its not too hard, you can do it! I will try to help if you ask me ?'s. :)
I'm rooting for you...here in California we have had winter weather...it's been BREEZY cold it rained this morning on top of earthquakes we have totally been ripped off weather wise...zero warm days...not even spring breezes more like fall or February and March breezes...just cold cold. We dared to wear summer shorts and regular tee shirts and we left long enough to go get gasoline and were shivering and jumping in hot showers in 15 minutes, last night we went on the back porch with our company and we couldn't even smoke one cigarette it was blowing our magazines off the table...weird weather.
@@HappyFarmsLa yeah I didn't level the ground good enough so I had to place pavers on the low side to level it out. The only thing I'm worried about is where the wall and floor meet. I hope it doesn't stretch to much or worse come apart 😬

Hey, i realy hope you see this as its an oldd video but my pool is 5 inches off level. There is only 1 higher point but how do i know if the legs are going to give out? I've been filling it and im super stressed about it lol. This video helped a bit but im still second guessing lol. Any advise?
advice is to drain it and fix it. It may hold like mine did but mine was damaged by using it that way, the water ran over the side all season and caused rusting....
YEs this is an old video. we have a new pool used pavers...mostly level but some pavers are poking in the liner ;( so hard to do this right! THANKS FOR WATCHING!
No it did not. After 3 years off level though...it did rust and the metal corroded and eventually broke. New pool this year (still salt) (still off 2") Its so hard to level. Just be careful, watch it close...and if you can....drain and fix it is my best advice. how many inches off is yours?
Yah, it did fine, after two years off level, we fixed it (kind of) and finally it rusted out from the salt running over that low side. Got a new one this year, its only 2" off. Are you going to redo your pool. sucks because you don't get full fill with it off level....My advice is to fix it, don't keep swimming like we did. Good luck its such a pain to level in this heat too.
@@HappyFarmsLa I had mine at 1/4in starting out. A few of the legs sunk in, and I jacked the pool up and put brinks under the sunk legs. I'm gonna let it go. I already wasted 3,600 gallons the first time, because it was 8.5in off.
Hahah yes! It ended up rusting badly because the salt water was pouring over the side for so long. New pool and I’m 2.5 inches off still. It’s tough! But I’m happy with it. Congrats on 1” off level that’s stellar!
haha yes I was. It never collapsed but I should have drained it. eventually it rusted out from having water pour over the side. I have a new pool now and its only an inch off level. lol.
That pool will collapse...physics, people!...easy fix. Just don't let anyone in that thing. You have about 100,000 lbs of water in there. Imagine that weight pushing you or some kids across those steel bars like a raging river.. And it looks horrible. Get it fixed asap!

If I shock I run in free pump not boost because you already added chlorine. The filter (if a salt to chlorine converter, will turn salt to chlorine overnight. Sun is zapping chlorine Hope it helps!
Thanks for the quick reply and help. I will try your suggestion tonight!
Chlorinator is working beautifully. Thank you again.
SS MM horray! You are welcome!
Hi question how much can you level the pool I wish I can send u pic of mine I put bricks under the sticks but idk if I'm doing wrong plz help
Enjoy!
@@HappyFarmsLa thank you so much!!! Now if only the weather would cooperate!
@@HappyFarmsLa thank you. 😊
Thanks Tamara!
When you add the salt to the pool how soon can you get in and swim? After it Dissolves?
Yeah, its just salt...should be fine to swim as soon as you want!
@@HappyFarmsLa thank you.
You should fix it soon those legs can end up breaking because it happened to me
I feel so much better thanks 😊
you got it. We got a new one this year, thought we finally had it right...2" off...sigh its hard!!
@@HappyFarmsLa yeah I didn't level the ground good enough so I had to place pavers on the low side to level it out. The only thing I'm worried about is where the wall and floor meet. I hope it doesn't stretch to much or worse come apart 😬
Hey, I just saw that skimmer adapter for frame pools like your . I see you have it and you don't need to buy another one. Just find it and I'll show you how to put it on
Ok
I'd really reccomend using pavers....bc it puts so much stress on them...
Yes, this year we got a new pool and we are using pavers. What size did you use?
My OCD is making me ill watching this omfg!
Hey, are you gonna make a new video for pool and sand filter for 2020? We`ve already open our
Yes, but I can't get the salt right now, much work to level it too! HI sven!!!
@@HappyFarmsLa Sure, we made a wooden terrace for our pool. First it was all right, but after a lot of rain, it all messed up but it`s holding very well. I love intex pools because they are very sturdy...
@@croatiaoutlander5626 OH COOL. a terrace! I am not looking forward to draining cleaning and re-leveling our pool to be truthful. I hope you are doing well!
At least you have a pool to swim in! Lol who cares if it’s off level- just fix it next year 🤷🏻♀️
Hi, is your pool a 48" or 52" deep?
48” I think it’s plenty. Almost 10k gallons. 20” wide is the way to go for sure. Lots of room. Good luck with your pool! Subscribe!
@@HappyFarmsLa Thanks!
Dig one side deeper I did n just an inch off
Yeah! good deal. Finally got ours level this year, have recent videos if you want to check it out. Thanks for watching and commenting ! ~Dani
Drain the pool and straighten out the pole so it don’t lean and put 1paver under alll legs
YEs this is an old video. we have a new pool used pavers...mostly level but some pavers are poking in the liner ;( so hard to do this right! THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Since no one else will tell you. Drain the pool an level that bottom or that side will cave eventually
Old video. Fixed it this season. Thanks.
Yeah that's more than 5" out of level.
Oh it was bad! Finally fixed it this season though! So glad. Thanks for watching!
That seems really off level
Yep, it sure is!
Did it collapse at all mines off and I’m scared it will collapse
No it did not. After 3 years off level though...it did rust and the metal corroded and eventually broke. New pool this year (still salt) (still off 2") Its so hard to level. Just be careful, watch it close...and if you can....drain and fix it is my best advice. how many inches off is yours?
Ummm, that looks dangerous af. My pool is off by 3.5" on one side, and I don't feel like it's safe. I have the same exact pool too.
I thought my pool was not level lmao that's bad
it WAS so bad. this year its way better only 1.5" off. Leveling is hard.
OH MY GOD LMFAO
yup. lasted all season and while you laugh, i collect ad revenue..lmaoooooo
My pool is fine with its inch off if yours survived this. 😆
Hahah yes! It ended up rusting badly because the salt water was pouring over the side for so long. New pool and I’m 2.5 inches off still. It’s tough! But I’m happy with it. Congrats on 1” off level that’s stellar!
Are you crazy
haha yes I was.
Yep. thanks. Old video here, we have a new pool and its much more level.
