Hi mikeno62, thanks for making this video. I was able to fix my sticky slow gear problem. But, I am pretty sure I've misaligned the small rangefinder window baffle (this thing 17:40). I can't seem to get it aligned correctly and keep having light leaks. Do you know how to fix this? I marked it before I removed it but even putting it back using the marking doesn't work.
Hello mikeno62, I've been inspired to fix my own leica because of your videos. The frame preselector on my M6 is sticky and I was hoping you could do a repair video on that! thanks!
I simply don't know the name of the tool because I have never seen the tool's that Leica use. The I use is made of a 5,5mm wrench that I have file and grind, the hole I the middle that need to be a little bigger, I use my Dremel tool with a rotary file to make the same size as the film rewinder screw, then I use a needle file to make the 2 small pin's.
I am so glad you posted the first way you did it as well as your findings and then the right way. This was way more informative.
Happy to know that :-)
Thank you so much for recording your video. Now I need to do my m6. Slow shutter is not working at all. I will have to make tools 🛠

You could take a look on another of my videos, it's about the stuck frame line lever in Leica M3:

@@mikeno62 Wouldn't Loctite 222 be more appropriate for such small screws?
hi, 28:00 min. "special tool", where did you get it? how this tool is called?
