The duster’s back! Now it’s really fall!” Like, opposite to people being put off by you re-wearing things, I find the practice of having signature pieces is actually very comforting to people in my life- almost like the piece is a recurring character in a book or tv show. which sounds a little odd maybe, but it’s true- and more so if the piece in question is really comfortable and really feels like “you”.

for your earring issue you, should try out surgical steel or titanium. they are both piercing grade (along with gold) so it's super unlikely that there will be any irritation. i know it's been a game changer for me!

Loving your bangs. I recently got my hair chopped off into a pixie cut and since then I wear a lot of scarves to keep my neck warm. I get compliments all the time. So YES to scarves.
HVe you tried getting a gold base, such as studs with a loop or hooks and then adding cool charms to them? And then you can just change the charm out when you’re feeling something new? I have my ears stretched and I have a ton of cute earrings that I just put on special hooks (kidney hooks) and boom! I can wear all of my earrings. I wear bandanas because the pressure of it helps me against migraines, and I often feel like such a dork with my bandana on, but you thinking it’s cool adds a whole new perspective ❤❤❤
Have you tried titanium earrings? My piercings' holes were getting inflamed, I believe from the zinc present in steel earrings, so I decided to buy titanium piercings and earrings and the problem went away. They're pretty affordable and don't tarnish.
I find myself thinking someone is extra stylish when they match their clothes to their vibe. Like when a person wears an outfit that just really makes sense for their personality it feels so cohesive and not contradicting it’s self. A friend of mine can literally look like the most stylish person wearing sweats just because she has the laid back swagger to pull it off.
I super agree on all of these! One time i fell out so much over my friend’s whimsical Halloween sweater that I think she was wanting me to tone it down. But for real, it makes me smile somewhere deep in my soul. And I remember when you said you couldn’t do a month of Christmas sweaters, but I was secretly hoping you would do a week. Because they are wonderful!!!!
People with a signature personal style exude so much confidence! You can wear trends but style is so personal and that's what makes an outfit cool. Totally agree about sneakers. I normally only wear some kind of heel so I feel like sneakers are cute on other people but weird on me. I also never leave the house without earrings.
Have you tried earings where the studs are made of surgical steel? I have sensitive ears too and those work for me aswell as gold. Though, I don’t wear earrings every day so that could aldo contribute.
Alexa , an sensitive ear earring “Hack” a friend recently did for me, that has opened up a world of affordable possibilities. She bought earrings backs in a metal I can wear and replaced the backings on cute earrings I normally could not wear. Obviously some types of earrings would not lend themselves to this DIY but lots of the earrings just have a charm(s) that are easily attached to a new hook, wire, lever, or hoop made of a metal you can wear, in your case gold.
The bangs look so great on you! Thank you for another wonderful video Alexa. Also I feel you on the sneakers which is such a bummer because I walk everywhere so if I want to keep my feet healthy, I have to opt for not-so-exciting sneakers... WAH WAH. Also everyone should rewear clothes, especially ones that make them happy! How else are we gonna be sustainable with our fashion? I love this leather jacket of yours! To me, a striking lip color is something that makes a person instantly stylish! I can't deal with the smudging/transfer/worry I, unbeknownst to me, look like the Joker, so people who wear bright or dark lipstick have all my respect and admiration and it just makes them look so cool. Also, tall boots seem instantly fashionable as well, like knee or even thigh height. :)
Have you tried unplated stainless steel? Unfortunately silver girlies have it easier, but as long as the section that actually goes in your lobe is unplated you should be good!
Dresses over jeans is something I'm literally foaming at the mouth to try. A lady that works at my college wore like dress pants with a mini skirt the same color over it and OMG SHE LOOKED AMAZING!!!!
I got a newsboy cap for Christmas. My boyfriend read my Christmas list and asked what is that so I said imagine a newsboy from the 20s what kind of hat do you picture? He responded "like Fievel? The mouse?" LOL yes exactly
For anyone who has super sensitive ears!!!! Get a tube of neosporin and get the product to the edge of the opening. Insert the base of your earring unto the tube and get it covered in neosporin, then put it in your ear! I have super sensitive ears and this always works for me!
I feel like people who are stylish have a gift of knowing what works for them and its always nice to see . And if alexis is reading this i love watching your videos they always bring me joy and make me smile . I do want to ask though did you ever think about thrifting MENS clothing ? It would be interesting to me at least . Thank you and keep spreading the joy & love your awesome . David w ❤❤❤❤
For me instant style comes with balance. Like I enjoy the juxtaposition of dress pants with cool sneakers and a relaxed sweater. Dressy meets casual. Or actual aesthetic balance. Like if you are wearing flowy pants or a maxi skirt on the bottom, maybe go with a more fitted top. And I think jewelry ties a look together and shouldn’t be overlooked
This is so random but I used to feel the same way about bandannas until I brought some front pieces out, and also folded the bandanna over on itself a few times so the tail end was shorter!! I feel like you have to customize it to your face/head shape lol. Now I wear them a lot in the summer!!
You can buy gold plated or even solid gold ear hooks and needle nose pliers and then buy any earrings you want and exchange the hooks for your own golden ones. Then you can wear any earring you want
Have you tried wearing surgical stainless steel earrings? I’m super sensitive too. Can’t even wear gold plated. But stainless steel is hypo allergenic and more affordable ❤
I feel you on the hats, I have very straight and fine hair, which means it bascially disappears if I wear anything on my head, I have fallen in love with balaclavas though, because I can pull them back so you see the front of my hair or let some strands out, and it looks so much better than any hat ever could on me
I feel the same for jewelry, but don't take yourself down! I wasn't a jewelry kind of gal either, then I got gifted a couple of pieces that were from my grandma and I started hunting the markets wherever I travel to for nice handmade jewelry, even custom one can be super nice if it's crafted with love. Now I have a small collection of pieces I wear all the time and they make me feel super special anytime I put them on.
I hope I'm not late and you'll see this cause it was literal game changer for me. I also have same issues like you regarding earrings(I can also wear silver but off topic). Get yourself golden hook(the thing that goes into year) and you can hang literally anything on it without having irritation. There is limitation still with it but it's way better than nothing
The hair looks so good!! I think there’s such a thing as earring converters for people who don’t have pierced ears to wear earrings. Maybe you could try that & then u wouldn’t have to worry about putting it in ur ear! It converts to clip on!
Hi Alexa, Great video, again! Wanted to say about scarves: I have hundreds of them, and never really learned how to wear them until my 50s. You will likely find that scarves are kinder of an older person look and feel.
One tip for the earring issue and someone who also has such sensitive ears, all I could wear was gold! Look for earrings that have wood or plastic posts, they won’t irritate like metals!
It took me a long time, but I finally decided (realized) what my signature necklace would be. I had a Madewell necklace that I'd just bought on sale, but I ended up wearing it almost every day--I just loved it and thought it looked so good on me. It tarnished after awhile, so I replaced it with a much better quality necklace that's also chunky and gold (the brand is Missoma). I put a couple of charms on it that my mom won in high school, so wearing those charms reminds me of her.
It doesn't work for every type of earring, but I've gotten around my super-sensitive ears by wearing smallish infinity hoops (titanium for me) and then I swap out the regular hooks on dangly earrings for closed hooks and attach them to my infinity hoops instead of actually putting them in my earlobes.
My signature piece is my winter coat haha. I have one winter coat and I wear it from October until March and I’ve had it for 10 years! It’s perfect and I never want to replace it haha
Clock necklaces were something that was introduced to me through a vid of yours, and I could not stop myself from purchasing one, because the level of character they add to an outfit is amazing! So I think this type of necklace makes you instantly stylish. Next, I wanna mention a brand that I think is stylish (their pieces) and that is praying (or prayingg) I don't know the correct spelling! But I love that brand!
For earrings, could you focus on ones that you can put onto a basic solid gold base? I do that for clip ons since I don’t have my ears pierced, I’ll look at regular earrings that can be pried off the base and slapped onto a clip on one 😂! Just a thought, cause I feel you with the earring fomo! So many things to agree with, and I also love item repeats. That’s the fun with capsule wardrobes regardless of their issues, just enjoying your pieces more and getting good wear out of them! 🙌
I sadly can't do titanium or steel 😭 I've tried in the past and my ears always get infected! solid solid has been the only thing that hasn't caused any irritation
The sock thing could be because of your climate. I’m in the UK and I don’t think I know anyone who isn’t intentional with their socks. Whether someone is sporty and wears branded sports socks, or other brands and designers, or cosy argyle socks, funky stripes, characters on socks. It’s multi-generational. My mum would choose pretty ones, I currently have cat faces across my toes, my brother would wear dark colours or stripes. It’s such a thing. Probably because we’re more likely to wear them every day apart from a small part of the summer when sandals come out. I will say that here in Cornwall, my mother-in-law is one of those people who can’t wait to get her flip flops on, and wears them in what I consider to be weird times of the year, but the Cornish aside, you never know when you will need to take your shoes off when you enter someone’s house, so you want cute socks on! 😊
Have you tried implant grade titanium earrings? Most good quality piercers use it because the metal is literally made to stay in someone’s body! I’ve had piercings that refused to heal that I’ve switched to implant grade titanium and then they healed perfectly. Maybe that’s something to give a try, if you’re looking to not spend money on gold earrings?
Man, I could never do the colourful socks trend. It looks cool on other people but it personally brings me traumatic memories from bullying. My mom used to buy me lots of colourful/patterned socks in middle school/early high school and I felt kind of neutral about them. Didn't love them, didn't hate them, but wore them with every outfit because those were the socks I had. That's until I realized some of my classmates have been mocking me for my socks for months. And of course it's considered stylish now 🙄. It's years later and I sill can't bring myself to wear a funky sock that is visible. It's either the short socks you can't see under your shoes or plain, neutral socks. It's not even like I love interesting socks and stopped wearing them because of bullying. It's more like something I didn't have an opinion on but I now hate (for myself) because of bad memories.
I may be reading too far into this but I hope you're feeling okay girlie! You seem a lil bit not so with yourself in this video (it was still a good video! I just meant, how you speak with yourself) and I wanna say you're a killer person and I appreciate YOUR style and the videos you create for us (^: Hope you are taking care of yourself and being kind to you 💛
Aww you’re so sweet!! Honestly I was not feeling myself while filming this video and the upcoming Sunday video, I’m feeling extremely burned out and I actually just got a horrible cold too so I’m going to be taking a full two weeks off just to take a step back because I was literally going on energy zero which I’m ashamed that I couldn’t be in a better headspace but yeah, sorry if it wasn’t my best 😭
Bandanas never fit my big head but I like wearing them around my neck to have a convenient way to cover my face if I suddenly decide to paint or something.
❤Love to do a Rosie the Riveter style bandana, but rolled & tied on top they always end up falling right off my head in minutes😂. Also tried doing the boho chic 'kerchief style tied in back. Just looked & felt absurd doing that🤣. Neither a 📷 Hollywood starlet or 💪laborer going off to stomp grapes. 😊Thankfully, I love layering a variety of cosy solid & patterned scarves for extra Winter warmth🧣. I usually pick them to coordinate w/my coat or outfit. Experimenting more & more w/fashion scarves. They can add a fun pop of color, pattern, or personality. Size & fabric quality makes all the difference. Prefer butter soft over stiff or scratchy materials. Not a big fan of silk or silk blends😖. Solid larger scarves are 🆗️ as some kind of wrap. Smaller printed scarves suit me better as a 🆒️ accent around my neck, wrist, belt, or tote strap. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
When you said signature piece and then earrings I immediately thought of myself because since I have short hair I always make sure a pair of earrings on because I can’t really do much with my hair.
My hair is kind of short and I wear a hat every day. I just think it's a lot easier to wear hats when you have short hair. Of course it depends on the kind of hat (like a cowboy hat or fedora looks good w long hair) and the person, but y'know.
Theme sweaters are "teacher core". It seems like elementary teachers end up with a wardrobe of seasonal sweaters. My mom, aunt and MIL were all teachers and all had the sweaters for every holiday.

I also have sensitive ears, so I was shocked when the stretching worked. Have you also tried medical Grace titanium? It’s great for sensitive ears.😊
Oh my gosh! Your hair is SO adorable here.
When I think about it, what really makes people stylish for me is the feeling that a person feels good and confident in their outfit.
😊 Yes, I think it's our passion❤️🔥, drive, devil may care confidence, & commitment that truly sells style.
💜If we LOVE it; if it makes us feel 🎉 JOYFUL 🎉; or, like we're ready to 💪CONQUER the world🌎〰️that amazing 🪄magic will be magnified in us.
🤔Even hardcore minimalists who follow more narrowly defined & strict fashion formulas can look exceptional in the same 32 pieces worn over & over again. Fit, quality, color, silhouette, etc. can be key considerations in how effectively we carry something off, but we should never underestimate the importance of attitude & mission.
We all have tried gorgeous garments that look absolutely stunning on someone else〰️only to find that on us they invoke some sort of discomfort, scorn, shame, or negativity😔.
If any piece overwhelms our body or senses, we often need to pass on it. In some cases, we can do a simple style tweak to make it work. Tuck it in, turn it backwards, button it differently, layer another item over or under it, add an accessory, etc.
✂️Sometimes it requires we change the hem, neckline, or other detail to make it truly work. Even style experts have fashion fails. We're allowed to experiment w/our wardrobe, look for inspo, & play with our clothes. Rework it until it pops or let it go.
In addition to serving a specific purpose, dress code, or climate〰️our clothing needs to enhance our mind, body, & spirit too.

I wear bandanas because the pressure of it helps me against migraines, and I often feel like such a dork with my bandana on, but you thinking it’s cool adds a whole new perspective ❤❤❤
I get migraines too, I might steal this idea ❤
actually id love to see a video of you styling a piece of clothing in different ways!
A friend of mine can literally look like the most stylish person wearing sweats just because she has the laid back swagger to pull it off.
yess I agree with them all!! I would also add people wearing handmade or DIY looking pieces are instantly stylish to me 💫
I super agree on all of these!
People who think you shouldn’t wear something more than once should not be watching thrift shows 🇨🇦
Alexa , an sensitive ear earring “Hack” a friend recently did for me, that has opened up a world of affordable possibilities.
you could get solid gold hoops or something and then add things that can hang on them! I have the same problem and need to wear gold!
Have you tried unplated stainless steel? Unfortunately silver girlies have it easier, but as long as the section that actually goes in your lobe is unplated you should be good!
So agree about the cardigans and vests. When older ladies/grandmas compliment my sweaters, i know i'm doing something right.
Alexa! I love this video so much!!!❤
What lipstick/gloss do you use?!! A make-up tutorial would be so nice!!!
Have you tried gold filled earrings?
these bangs are such a look for you!!!
I think accommodating hair length matters too
That animation at the end was so cute!!!
I love you new Two toned hair really makes you eyes pop. I love your ideas.
I agree with your signature ideas ❤ em.
have you tried gold filled earrings? it’s cheaper than solid gold but the gold on the outside is chemically bonded so it’s fully waterproof
One tip for the earring issue and someone who also has such sensitive ears, all I could wear was gold! Look for earrings that have wood or plastic posts, they won’t irritate like metals!
I love your new end screen 🩷 🌸
It took me a long time, but I finally decided (realized) what my signature necklace would be. I had a Madewell necklace that I'd just bought on sale, but I ended up wearing it almost every day--I just loved it and thought it looked so good on me. It tarnished after awhile, so I replaced it with a much better quality necklace that's also chunky and gold (the brand is Missoma). I put a couple of charms on it that my mom won in high school, so wearing those charms reminds me of her.
Hi Alexa, I love that you are growing out your natural hair colour! It make your eyes pop 🩵
Love from Belgium!
Your hair looks amazing!
I love these types of videos
I really love Local Eclectic for jewelry. Their pieces have personality
hey girl! piercing fanatic here, try anodised titanium and surgical steel, it can be more affordable and shouldn’t irritate your ears!
I sadly can't do titanium or steel 😭 I've tried in the past and my ears always get infected! solid solid has been the only thing that hasn't caused any irritation
8:56 YESSSS ❤❤❤
Lol I put on the same hoop earrings when I try to look more presentable. It works. People perceive me differently when I add earrings.
Good morning Alexis happy Wednesday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
It's more like something I didn't have an opinion on but I now hate (for myself) because of bad memories.
my head is weird with bandanas and wrap around headscarves too! My head is a weird shape so they just slide off
I may be reading too far into this but I hope you're feeling okay girlie! You seem a lil bit not so with yourself in this video (it was still a good video! I just meant, how you speak with yourself) and I wanna say you're a killer person and I appreciate YOUR style and the videos you create for us (^:
Hope you are taking care of yourself and being kind to you 💛
Aww you’re so sweet!!
@@alexasunshine83 hi Alex will u make a vintage or non vintage heels/boots Tryon collection?
@@alexasunshine83 hi Alex will u make a vintage or non vintage heels/boots Tryon collection?
@@alexasunshine83 pls rest up and feel better! I can't have one of my favorite youtubers feeling not so hot 😭

The clapping was so funny and cute to me HAHAHA
I wore dresses over dress pants when I was a teenager in the 70’s. 🇨🇦
Watching Laini Ozark makes you INSTANTLY stylish!! 😊
4:03 omg where is that blazer from?
When you said signature piece and then earrings I immediately thought of myself because since I have short hair I always make sure a pair of earrings on because I can’t really do much with my hair.
6:16 I need those heart drip earrings in a biblical sense
Aw Alexa called her sunshiners stylish 😊we learn from you, girl!
I like the cartoon at the end
My hair is kind of short and I wear a hat every day. I just think it's a lot easier to wear hats when you have short hair. Of course it depends on the kind of hat (like a cowboy hat or fedora looks good w long hair) and the person, but y'know.
Just wanted to stop in to say your hair is amazing.
She’s RIGHT here! 😊🥰😝
Does anyone know where this cardigan is from or what her @ is ??!! At 9:14
Theme sweaters are "teacher core". It seems like elementary teachers end up with a wardrobe of seasonal sweaters. My mom, aunt and MIL were all teachers and all had the sweaters for every holiday.
I love seeing people re-wear the same piece. Do't worry about it.
Alexa, have you tried titanium earrings? Titanium is medical grade and I don’t believe it’s possible to be allergic to it. That’s why professional piercers only pierce with it.
Lol I wear bandanas all the time but it's mostly bc my pixie cut looks a mess about half the time 😭😭
I would never comment on someone's clothes in a negative way..if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all
When i see someone wearing a cute sweater i find them very approachable
I saw these on Amazon and thought they might help your earring situation.

The etiquette in me can't pass hats worn indoors (that was so ingrained to me when I was a kid so I just choose to never wear one) I do love seeing them outside tho especially when people are fishing, in the beach etc
A NEW END CARD?!?!
Since UA-cam I am dressing much more Boho which I love and was always embarrassed to wear it. No one in my friends group dresses that way so mostly they only tell me they like something rarely.
Stylish imo: making a bit of an effort, wearing your nicer stuff, being comfortable, being dressed practically for what you’re doing, not wearing too many redundant things, not being fully one aesthetic or looking like a Pinterest board of micro-trends
