Im building a grasshopper speed runner right now. Im going to try for 100mph. My previous Grasshopper did 60mph.That was a vintage one that had some miles on it. The 100mph Grasshopper Im building (hopefully 100mph) is a re-release i just bought. Ill be starting a channel on YT and the speed running videos will be featured there. Thanks for the video. @Tamiya Legends, I had two Grasshopper1, i buy and build the Grasshopper in the Jear 1990 and their still running today! In my first Grasshopper i had a very old Vintage Brushed Motor "Graupner Speed 500 Race", and i must say the Motor is very Powerful and the Grasshopper is Really very Fast with this Motor! But in my other Grasshopper1 is a Very old Vintage Brushed Kyosho MEGA-MOTOR 12x2 Paved Oval, and the Motor goes 37000 RPMs. When i drive with this Grasshopper on the Street the Motor Killed the Backtires, and the Grasshopper is VERY VERY FAST!!! But i must say my favourite Motor is the "Graupner Speed 500 Race"! This Motor is 30 Jears old, and it runs and runs and runs and runs!!! I Love my Grasshopper with this Amazing Motor!
Wow what a machine that is. Loving the vid, can't believe that the car handled that without blowing to pieces lol 😂😂. Keep up the good videos and stay safe 🤘
Lunchbox can be made to go fast. The tires are much bigger than the grasshopper. It can go really fast in a straight line. Just don't even think about turning.
During the 80s, i ran a hornet with technigold motor, and a fire dragon body, no ESC, almost as fast as yours, around 40km/hr I believe, grasshopper and hornet body are just too light , need extra weight to put it stable for a fast run ... BTW, you should try out the Fox with high speed motor, it should be more fun !
I was at the same point as you. Try swapping in the mad fighter gearbox. I did the same on mine. With the right combo this thing is unstoppable. But due to the shocks you need to use the hornet body.
