  • Well it's been awhile since we have talked about our Vintage RV Restoration on our 1974 Winnebago Indian. So we thought we would take a look back at what we have done over the last 2 years and WOW have we done a lot! Sometimes it does not feel like it but when watching over all of our video footage we felt quite accomplished. It gave us some inspiration that's for sure; Now if only money wasn't so tight due to inflation on pretty much everything. Oh and the 2 little ones making us sleep deprived and low on energy.
So that's our update... We still have the Winne, We still want to work on the Winne but it isn't top priority. That being said we still have so much to complete.
    shower,
    install a kitchen sink
get new cushions for dinette and couch/bed
refurbish the cab area and get a new driver and passenger seat
    Remove paint from exterior
AND SO MUCH MORE THE LIST GOES ON!
Hope you enjoy watching how far we have come from the day we pulled the Winnebago out of the field and cleaned it out to where we are today.

pity you ripped out the original interior and threw it away. its hard to match modern stuff in a vintage camper. these vans will be worth a fortune one day. not that one though. half its parts are gone

Yes it is a shame and we agree. Would have loved to keep more original but also a lot of the interior paneling was destroyed and horrible smell. Sometimes things just need to be done and we are happy so far. Still have some to work on and would love to keep the outside original.

Nice update and look at your work that you did on the Winnebago so far. You did a lot of work to it and should be proud. It looks great.

It's nice to see you still working on the old RV. I would have seriously considered adding Aqua Hot for unlimited hot water showers. We love ours. I definitely understand high fuel prices. We have a Class A diesel pusher and we live in Sarasota Florida. Diesel is so high that it is keeping us home too. We will only take one big trip this year then stay around Florida for getaways.

Oh we bet the Aqua Hot is just amazing! We haven't been doing any work recently as we just have not had any time. Cant wait to work on it again maybe come winter. Thanks for watching and Happy Travels

      @AlbertaAdventurerFamily  2 роки тому

No we still have it just got busy with the 2 kiddos and a short summer! We are just trying to make the most of our time, we like to work on it in the winter months as it give us something to do and look forward to! thanks for following us along on our renovation we should be back at it here in the next few months as it start to get colder and we move back indoors. It also eat up a lot of cash lol 😂

Hello all 👋🏻!! Love the new graphics for the intro/end…looks really good! Prices are absolutely off the charts, I get the pause on renovating the Winnie. We wanted to add a small addition to our home, 24’x17’, but with the price of lumber, that went right down the crapper! I was even looking for a small camper to renovate for overflow of guests…old, needing Reno campers are also off the charts in price! You could probably sell your Winnie as is, and make a profit!

Thanks Gail we would love to do more on it but at this time we are happy with our holiday trailer we picked up last year. Your right we probably could sell it for a bit of cash but at the same time it’s something we will work on as we have money to spend it also gives us a getaway for the kiddos thanks for watching see you next week thanks for watching!✌️take care!

big job aye. The cost of Gas and food is rediculous here as well... I think these petrol companies are making a killing looking at the cost of oil per barrell. A little scary as we get ready to go full time with no income... Yikes. Looking forward to spending the summer up in the North with you lot.

Very exciting for you guys going full time and yes gas prices are insane. Cant wait for your travels to the USA. Are you guys planning on driving all the way north to Canada? How long are you planning on being in North America. We have been so busy but will be sure to watch your videos and catch up!

@@AlbertaAdventurerFamily we will be working at a kids camp in North Carolina. We won't get to Canada unfortunately. Hoping for a trip to the desert in August before we return to New Zealand 🇳🇿. It's pretty expensive to travel with 5 of us, even just to rent a car.

    • @AlbertaAdventurerFamily

That sounds amazing. North Carolina is beautiful we loved it there! Yes it is very expensive to travel as a family. Anyways we look forward to seeing your time in the USA.
