Thanks for the vid! I just picked mine up the other day and this video is a huge help for questions I had. I underestimated the weight with all the shipping and didn’t bring anyone to help me unload 😅. Got it done tho, they definitely pad these things like no other.
Thanks for watching the video. I'll be posting a video today on wiring the LED indicators. If you haven't already installed your bumper, make sure you have an extra hand..
I am installing this tonight. Great to see a video on it! I installed ARB bumper on my FJ and it looks like a similar install. Just the drilling part had me confused for a second.
got mine few weeks ago and finally installed it yesterday.. Honestly speaking this bumper is not made for the LX its for the land cruiser. wished it would line up properly. if you install this properly you wont be able to close your hood. I installed it little off there for I can barely open my hood. I wired the Turn signals to come on as DRL.. now i have to get rid of the hyper flash =) thank you for detailed video!
@@LXPlore I watch Matt’s Offroad Recovery on youtube. He sold me on kinetic ropes too. Going to trade out of my straps. Got my bumper installed tonight. Great build quality and figment!
@@LXPlore Winch on the list! But it’s below s few items in priority. We did alpine loop a few months back. Started from Silverton. Had a blast, building out to make those Trips more often. 🤙🤙
I hooked up the day time wire as well, I think red to red, to the outbound light. It is white while the turn signal is yellow both colors are in the LED light.
Thank you for watching the video. I totally agree with you. In all the years of off roading I’ve never had the need for a winch. I have had body damage from not having sliders.
Yes you’re absolutely right. The gap on the video was horrible. It has since been adjusted and I have no issues of the hood clearing the bull bar. Thanks for watching the video.
I also got the same smoking deal of Ironman bumper, plus free LED drive light, for my LX470, and finally get ready to put it on. Your video definitely helps me to get familiar with the installation process. One question, do I still need the recovery points? Or the bumper has integrated one? Thanks
Thank you for watching the video. You can use the factory recovery points, the bumper does not come with recovery points. I purchased and after market one... I believe Ironman 4x4 sells one also.
Thanks for watching the video. Here’s another video I made for dealing with the hyper flash. Get rid of hyperflash! ua-cam.com/video/6eUjPk2ptPY/v-deo.html
Looks great! Any issue with the hood/grill clearing the bar on the Ironman? As I understand it the ARB bumper requires a grill modification to clear on LX’s. Thanks
Thank you! So I didn’t have any issues. You just have to adjust the bumper out and up. My grille is about a hair from touching the bull bar. Just take your time on adjusting the bumper and don’t drill the pinning holes until your satisfied.
I noticed that you have the LX. Do you still have the AHC system still working? Did you have to modify the torsion bars with the additional weight of the Ironman bumper? Any issues with AHC after the installation?
ua-cam.com/video/ziVTw49DjTc/v-deo.html Hey thanks for watching the video. Yes , I have a 2002 Lx470. The previous owner had the AHC removed and replaced it with a stock height suspension kit. Prior to installing the @Ironman4x4 front bumper, I installed a suspension kit that was a hybrid of different components. I attached the video of the suspension I installed. Hope I was able to answer your questions.
I bought this exact bumper only i got the winch. having issues with the not working. Did you just splice the turn signal wires straight to the led lights? that wiring harness that came with the kit doesn't make any sense to me
Thanks for watching the video. I wish I would’ve purchased the winch, hopefully soon. I know Ironman has good customer service and are willing to help. The turn signal for the bumper can be used two different ways. It can be used as marker lights or as turn indicators. Land Cruisers have turn indicators up by the headlights, where as the LX has them in the stock bumper. I believe the Ironman has 3 wires... one ground, one for turn indicator and one for the marker light. I chose the turn indicator and wired it directly to the existing turn indicator wires from the stock bumper. Hope that helped.
I used a smaller drill and was able to drill the holes. If you can’t , marked the holes, pull the bumper off and drill the holes. Just make sure that’s where you want the bumper to be.
Ordered mine today. $999 free shipping as well. Question---mine is being dropped off at my local UPS freight hub. I'm curious if they will load it into my truck or if I'll need to take two of my buddies. How did you get yours shipped?
Congratulations and thanks for watching the video. My bumper was shipped via a freight company and they loaded the bumper into the truck via a fork lift. I’d bring another person just in case.
Thank you for watching the video. The bumper comes with a license plate mount, however it didn’t fit my front plate. Currently my front plate is not installed... still brain storming an alternative way to mount it.
You mean the sounds of freedom in the background ❤️❤️❤️
Yes sir! The sounds of freedom... well put.
exactly-- that's just LIFE-- ignore it and do you usual good job.. :)
got mine yesterday, installing today. it looks fantastic! i cannot wait for the rain to dry up and get out there!
Thanks for watching the video! The install isn’t hard, but it does help to have a second set of hands.

Thanks for watching the video. Yes, hoping to do a rear bumper tire carrier. I just need to figure which one. Any suggestions?
What spacers did you use to allow you to mount the center caps on your method wheels?
No spacers, I got different center caps from Method. I believe they’re from a Tundra.
What screws did you use to drill in the front license plate

Did you ever shorten the gap between upper bumper and Ironman ?
Thanks for watching. Yes I shortened the gap. Definitely takes two people and a floor jack to adjust.
